It is also one of the main sources of income for farmers in Taplejung, Ilam, Panchthar, Tehrathum, Dhankuta and other districts. Razia Banu, who is involved in the business of broom grass, told New Business Age that the grass is exported to India and Bangladesh in addition to various cities within the country.</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-size:18px"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman","serif"">Currently, the price of one kg of broom grass ranges from Rs 150 to Rs 200, which can make up to two brooms. Banu said that the local government has been encouraging the commercial farming of broom grass lately. Banu said that the local government has been encouraging the commercial farming of broom grass lately. "The Association and all other organisations under it are saddened by the incident.
