Helambu Chairperson Neema Gyaljen Sherpa said they would pilot this initiative in one place. In recent years, the rise in the temperature coupled with climate change have melted snow in the region. The phenomenon has also placed the indigenous farming of the area in crisis. Last year's destructive flood can be taken as an example of the effect of climate change in the high-hill region. Environment expert Prabhu Budhathoki said it is an indication of bigger risk to the human community in the long run. -- RSS
', 'published' => true, 'created' => '2023-01-23', 'modified' => '2023-01-23', 'keywords' => '', 'description' => '', 'sortorder' => '16559', 'image' => '20230123032121_IMG_3809-1024x768.jpg', 'article_date' => '2023-01-23 15:20:38', 'homepage' => false, 'breaking_news' => false, 'main_news' => true, 'in_scroller' => null, 'user_id' => '34' ) ), (int) 8 => array( 'Article' => array( 'id' => '16818', 'article_category_id' => '1', 'title' => 'Dr Min Bahadur Shrestha Appointed as Vice-chair of National Planning Commission ', 'sub_title' => '', 'summary' => 'Dr Min Bahadur Shrestha has been appointed as the Vice-Chairperson of National Planning Commission (NPC).', 'content' => '
January 23: Dr Min Bahadur Shrestha has been appointed as the Vice-Chairperson of National Planning Commission (NPC).

A meeting of the Council of Ministers on Monday appointed Dr Shrestha to the post of vice-chairperson.
NPC Chair and Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ administered the newly appointed Vice-Chair an oath of office and secrecy on Monday itself at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers, Singha Durbar.

Dr Shrestha was also appointed as Vice-chair of the National Planning Commission when Pushpa Kamal Dahal had led the government six years ago.

Former Executive Director of the Nepal Rastra Bank, Shrestha had served at the NRB for 30 years.
