<p style="text-align: justify;">The five days event will have further two months personalised follow-up mentoring for the founders.&nbsp; During the two months, the entrepreneurs can get free working space and get to connect with the mentors anytime they need to. Among the participants, most of the founders are at the earliest phase of their business and as the theme of the programme &#39;Women Focused Edition&#39;; the startups have at least one female founder in each venture. &quot;Most of our mentors are the ones who have faced the hustle and bustle of entrepreneurship and we believe their experiences will inspire the starters to delve into and enjoy their journey of entrepreneurship,&quot; said Joshi, speaking at the event. He further said that the seed fund will help the participants to connect with the aspiring entrepreneurs and also find strategic seed investors among the coaches themselves.</p>

According to statistics of Inland Revenue Department, the government has collected Rs 172.17 billion internal revenue compared to Rs 165.16 billion target. The revenue collection of the review period increased by 32 percent compared to the corresponding period of the last FY.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">In the total collection of internal revenue, the government has collectd income tax amounted to Rs 95.39 billion. &ldquo;The amount collected is 107 percent of the given target,&rdquo; said Chandrakala Poudel, spokesperson of the department. The income tax category also includes income tax from other resources, rent tax and interest tax.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Similarly, the government has been able to collect 99 percent of VAT amounting to Rs 43.5 billion. The amount collected is increased by 26 percent compared to the corresponding period of last FY. Likewise, excise duty of Rs 32.36 billion has been collected which is increased by 39 percent compared to the corresponding period of the last FY and 104 percent growth compared to the given target. &nbsp;</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Apart from that, the government has also collected Rs 594.4 million in education service tax which is increased by 31 percent in compared to the corresponding period of last FY and 95 percent of the given target. Likewise, the government has collected Rs 761.1 million in health service tax which is increased by 25 percent compared to corresponding period of last FY and 86 percent of the given target.&nbsp;</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Under the scheme, the customers can use data pack at minimum balance of Rs 0.06. According to the company, customers can purchase 25 MB, 60 MB, 300 MB, 600 MB, and 1200 MB at Rs 10, Rs 20, Rs 100, Rs 150 and Rs 250 respectively including tax. Moreover, the customers can get double data volume on purchasing day data pack used between 5 am to 5 pm. Similarly, the customers can get 4 times data volume on purchasing night data pack used for 11 pm to 5 am.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">As per the company, duration of 300MB, 600 MB and 1200 MB data pack will be of 30 days whereas 25 MB and 60 MB data pack will expire after three days of activation. The customers can activate new data pack by dialing *17123# through given instructions, reads a statement. The new data pack will be validated for only 90 days, informed the company.&nbsp;</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">&ldquo;The expo aims to promote domestic and cottage industries&rsquo; products in the international market. This kind of expo is helpful to expand the domestic and cottage industries which are in struggling phase right now,&rdquo; said Shyam Prasad Giri, President of FNCSI.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">The organizer expects to carry out transaction worth Rs 60 million and 100,000 visitors throughout the expo. The expo has 215 stalls where 57 stalls display scientific research and modern technologies. Similarly, Central Women Entrepreneurs Pavilion will have 25 stalls in the expo and 10 foreign stalls from India, Pakistan, China and Bangladesh. Moreover, Forest and Agriculture program and President Women Progressive Program will have 10 and 30 stalls respectively in the expo.<br />

<p style="text-align: justify;">Regarding the matter, Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transportation Management has conducted a meeting with National planning commission (NPC). The plan is being progressed with an objective to address the issue through budget program. &ldquo;Given that the Japanese technology along with their tools and technology are of high standard, consultations are being carried out to build the tunnels on our own resources,&rdquo; said Rajendra Raj Sharma, Joint Secretary of the Ministry.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">According to him, only foreign companies could develop prestressed bridge thirty years ago. However, Nepali constructors are capable of building such bridge presently. &ldquo;The government initiated the plan so that to make Nepali constructors capable of building tunnels and make them reliant as Nepal needs to build tunnel-roads in various locations due to its geographical condition,&rdquo; he added.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Sharma said that the ministry is consulting with Road Department and NPC to upgrade the Prithwi Highway to four lanes. The government planned to build the four lanes road as the up gradation of the current two lanes road created more chaos and obstruction in various places. &ldquo;The present two-lanes road will be as it is. Additional two lanes will be constructed from Trisuli which can be constructed without road obstruction,&rdquo; he informed. For that matter, the Ministry is lobbying Finance Ministry for budget allocation. Once the budget approves the project, the Ministry will hand over the project to Road Department.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">The third meeting of TIFA being held from April 20 is observed as significant for the bilateral trade expansion with USA.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">TIFA is an agreement between two countries for trade promotion and investment. It has been expected that the successful implementation of the agreement can promote export of Nepal and can attract investment from USA benefiting both the countries. The meeting was held for the first time in 2011 with an aim to promote Nepali products in USA and to increase their sales.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">The second meeting of the council was held in June in Washington DC last year. In that meeting, the Government of America under Section 915 provided trade preference or customs waiver to Nepal on 66 Nepali products. According to Rabi Shankar Sainju, Spokesperson of the Ministry of Commerce (MoC), the trade preferences provided by America will be valid till 2025.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">The products that get the facilities under the trade preference programme are - carpets, woolen caps, Pashmina shawls including materials used for travel.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">According to the Ministry, in today&rsquo;s meeting, discussion will be held on technical help for the expansion of markets for products that have got trade preference facility. Similarly, the possibility on trade and investment between Nepal and America will also be discussed. As far as the Ministry is concerned, the discussion will also be held on American investment on Nepal&rsquo;s infrastructure as there is a tremendous possibility for it. However, there is a need to create conducive environment for the same, sources said.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">In the total collection of internal revenue, the government has collectd income tax amounted to Rs 95.39 billion. &ldquo;The amount collected is 107 percent of the given target,&rdquo; said Chandrakala Poudel, spokesperson of the department. The income tax category also includes income tax from other resources, rent tax and interest tax.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Similarly, the government has been able to collect 99 percent of VAT amounting to Rs 43.5 billion. The amount collected is increased by 26 percent compared to the corresponding period of last FY. Likewise, excise duty of Rs 32.36 billion has been collected which is increased by 39 percent compared to the corresponding period of the last FY and 104 percent growth compared to the given target. &nbsp;</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Apart from that, the government has also collected Rs 594.4 million in education service tax which is increased by 31 percent in compared to the corresponding period of last FY and 95 percent of the given target. The plan is being progressed with an objective to address the issue through budget program. &ldquo;Given that the Japanese technology along with their tools and technology are of high standard, consultations are being carried out to build the tunnels on our own resources,&rdquo; said Rajendra Raj Sharma, Joint Secretary of the Ministry.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">According to him, only foreign companies could develop prestressed bridge thirty years ago. However, Nepali constructors are capable of building such bridge presently. &ldquo;The government initiated the plan so that to make Nepali constructors capable of building tunnels and make them reliant as Nepal needs to build tunnel-roads in various locations due to its geographical condition,&rdquo; he added.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Sharma said that the ministry is consulting with Road Department and NPC to upgrade the Prithwi Highway to four lanes. The government planned to build the four lanes road as the up gradation of the current two lanes road created more chaos and obstruction in various places. &ldquo;The present two-lanes road will be as it is. Additional two lanes will be constructed from Trisuli which can be constructed without road obstruction,&rdquo; he informed. For that matter, the Ministry is lobbying Finance Ministry for budget allocation. Once the budget approves the project, the Ministry will hand over the project to Road Department.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">The third meeting of TIFA being held from April 20 is observed as significant for the bilateral trade expansion with USA.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">TIFA is an agreement between two countries for trade promotion and investment. It has been expected that the successful implementation of the agreement can promote export of Nepal and can attract investment from USA benefiting both the countries. The meeting was held for the first time in 2011 with an aim to promote Nepali products in USA and to increase their sales.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">The second meeting of the council was held in June in Washington DC last year. In that meeting, the Government of America under Section 915 provided trade preference or customs waiver to Nepal on 66 Nepali products. According to Rabi Shankar Sainju, Spokesperson of the Ministry of Commerce (MoC), the trade preferences provided by America will be valid till 2025.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">The products that get the facilities under the trade preference programme are - carpets, woolen caps, Pashmina shawls including materials used for travel.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">According to the Ministry, in today&rsquo;s meeting, discussion will be held on technical help for the expansion of markets for products that have got trade preference facility. Similarly, the possibility on trade and investment between Nepal and America will also be discussed. As far as the Ministry is concerned, the discussion will also be held on American investment on Nepal&rsquo;s infrastructure as there is a tremendous possibility for it. However, there is a need to create conducive environment for the same, sources said.</p>

The revenue collection of the review period increased by 32 percent compared to the corresponding period of the last FY.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">In the total collection of internal revenue, the government has collectd income tax amounted to Rs 95.39 billion. &ldquo;The amount collected is 107 percent of the given target,&rdquo; said Chandrakala Poudel, spokesperson of the department. The income tax category also includes income tax from other resources, rent tax and interest tax.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Similarly, the government has been able to collect 99 percent of VAT amounting to Rs 43.5 billion. The amount collected is increased by 26 percent compared to the corresponding period of last FY. Likewise, excise duty of Rs 32.36 billion has been collected which is increased by 39 percent compared to the corresponding period of the last FY and 104 percent growth compared to the given target. &nbsp;</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Apart from that, the government has also collected Rs 594.4 million in education service tax which is increased by 31 percent in compared to the corresponding period of last FY and 95 percent of the given target. Likewise, the government has collected Rs 761.1 million in health service tax which is increased by 25 percent compared to corresponding period of last FY and 86 percent of the given target.&nbsp;</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">According to him, only foreign companies could develop prestressed bridge thirty years ago. However, Nepali constructors are capable of building such bridge presently. &ldquo;The government initiated the plan so that to make Nepali constructors capable of building tunnels and make them reliant as Nepal needs to build tunnel-roads in various locations due to its geographical condition,&rdquo; he added.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Sharma said that the ministry is consulting with Road Department and NPC to upgrade the Prithwi Highway to four lanes. The government planned to build the four lanes road as the up gradation of the current two lanes road created more chaos and obstruction in various places. &ldquo;The present two-lanes road will be as it is. Additional two lanes will be constructed from Trisuli which can be constructed without road obstruction,&rdquo; he informed. For that matter, the Ministry is lobbying Finance Ministry for budget allocation. Once the budget approves the project, the Ministry will hand over the project to Road Department.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">The third meeting of TIFA being held from April 20 is observed as significant for the bilateral trade expansion with USA.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">TIFA is an agreement between two countries for trade promotion and investment. It has been expected that the successful implementation of the agreement can promote export of Nepal and can attract investment from USA benefiting both the countries. The meeting was held for the first time in 2011 with an aim to promote Nepali products in USA and to increase their sales.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">The second meeting of the council was held in June in Washington DC last year. In that meeting, the Government of America under Section 915 provided trade preference or customs waiver to Nepal on 66 Nepali products. According to Rabi Shankar Sainju, Spokesperson of the Ministry of Commerce (MoC), the trade preferences provided by America will be valid till 2025.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">The products that get the facilities under the trade preference programme are - carpets, woolen caps, Pashmina shawls including materials used for travel.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">According to the Ministry, in today&rsquo;s meeting, discussion will be held on technical help for the expansion of markets for products that have got trade preference facility. Similarly, the possibility on trade and investment between Nepal and America will also be discussed. As far as the Ministry is concerned, the discussion will also be held on American investment on Nepal&rsquo;s infrastructure as there is a tremendous possibility for it. However, there is a need to create conducive environment for the same, sources said.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">In the total collection of internal revenue, the government has collectd income tax amounted to Rs 95.39 billion. &ldquo;The amount collected is 107 percent of the given target,&rdquo; said Chandrakala Poudel, spokesperson of the department. The income tax category also includes income tax from other resources, rent tax and interest tax.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Similarly, the government has been able to collect 99 percent of VAT amounting to Rs 43.5 billion. The amount collected is increased by 26 percent compared to the corresponding period of last FY. Likewise, excise duty of Rs 32.36 billion has been collected which is increased by 39 percent compared to the corresponding period of the last FY and 104 percent growth compared to the given target. &nbsp;</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Apart from that, the government has also collected Rs 594.4 million in education service tax which is increased by 31 percent in compared to the corresponding period of last FY and 95 percent of the given target. Likewise, the government has collected Rs 761.1 million in health service tax which is increased by 25 percent compared to corresponding period of last FY and 86 percent of the given target.&nbsp;</p>

However, Nepali constructors are capable of building such bridge presently. &ldquo;The government initiated the plan so that to make Nepali constructors capable of building tunnels and make them reliant as Nepal needs to build tunnel-roads in various locations due to its geographical condition,&rdquo; he added.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Sharma said that the ministry is consulting with Road Department and NPC to upgrade the Prithwi Highway to four lanes. The government planned to build the four lanes road as the up gradation of the current two lanes road created more chaos and obstruction in various places. &ldquo;The present two-lanes road will be as it is. Additional two lanes will be constructed from Trisuli which can be constructed without road obstruction,&rdquo; he informed. For that matter, the Ministry is lobbying Finance Ministry for budget allocation. Once the budget approves the project, the Ministry will hand over the project to Road Department.</p>

Samsung organizing a program in Kathmandu on April 19 unveiled the smartphones. &nbsp;&nbsp;The pre-bookings of the phones have already started on April 19 and they will be available in the domestic market by May 5, said Pranay Ratna Sthapit, Business Head of Samsung Nepal.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Issuing a press statement, the company said that the smartphones redefine the future of style and consumer experience with a stunning bezel-less dual-edge infinity display that provides a truly cinematic viewing experience. They also come with the best low-light camera and a personal assistant, Bixby.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">According to the statement, Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ are equipped with 8MP front camera with F1.7 lens Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+&rsquo;s 12MP rear camera utilises dual pixel technology.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Moreover, the physical home key on the front has given way to a more intuitive soft key with a pressure sensor that is embedded under the display. The infinity display and bezel-less design give the user 18 per cent more screen and form a smooth, continuous surface with no buttons or harsh angles, making multi-tasking more convenient, reads the statement.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Along with Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+, consumers can also get 8GB of data for eight months (1 GB each month) in collaboration with telecom partner Ncell. Moreover, the customers are also entitled to six months breakage insurance in collaboration with Shikhar Insurance and easy EMI in association with various commercial banks.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ will be offered to customers at a price of Rs 88,900 and Rs 98,900 respectively.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">The third meeting of TIFA being held from April 20 is observed as significant for the bilateral trade expansion with USA.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">TIFA is an agreement between two countries for trade promotion and investment. It has been expected that the successful implementation of the agreement can promote export of Nepal and can attract investment from USA benefiting both the countries. The meeting was held for the first time in 2011 with an aim to promote Nepali products in USA and to increase their sales.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">The second meeting of the council was held in June in Washington DC last year. In that meeting, the Government of America under Section 915 provided trade preference or customs waiver to Nepal on 66 Nepali products. According to Rabi Shankar Sainju, Spokesperson of the Ministry of Commerce (MoC), the trade preferences provided by America will be valid till 2025.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">The products that get the facilities under the trade preference programme are - carpets, woolen caps, Pashmina shawls including materials used for travel.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">According to the Ministry, in today&rsquo;s meeting, discussion will be held on technical help for the expansion of markets for products that have got trade preference facility. Similarly, the possibility on trade and investment between Nepal and America will also be discussed. As far as the Ministry is concerned, the discussion will also be held on American investment on Nepal&rsquo;s infrastructure as there is a tremendous possibility for it. However, there is a need to create conducive environment for the same, sources said.</p>
