<p style="text-align: justify;">Representatives from the private sector, entrepreneurs and other stakeholders were also present during the discussion which was organised by the Revenue Advisory Committee of the Ministry of Finance on April 24.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">The programme focused on the issue that the contribution of GDP is decreasing from the productive sector of Nepal. Economist Dr Posh Raj Pandey as a representative from the private sector presented a common working paper&nbsp; mentioning &nbsp;that the industrialization, comercialisation of agriculture and infrastructure development should get priority in&nbsp; the upcoming budget and policies of &nbsp;the government.&nbsp;</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">&quot;Establishing National Industrial Centre for Excellence is necessary to promote industrialisation,&quot; shared Pandey. He also said that the government should focus on inter-governmental cooperation for proper implementation of the budget.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Similarly, during the programme, Haribhakta Sharma, President of the Confederation of Nepalese Industries (CNI), said that the government should promote e-governance to save time in administrative works.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">He also stressed that the recently formulated Acts related to economy should be implemented by working out regulations to improve the environment for investment in Nepal.&nbsp; &quot;The increase of transport costs in the Tribhuvan International Airport has affected the import and export. So, the finance minister should address this issue,&quot; said Sharma.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Similarly, President of FNCCI Bhawani Rana said that the new budget, and policies and programmes should be business -friendly and should encourage the production- oriented industries. Rana suggested that the policies should be implemented in such a way that the entrepreneurs don&rsquo;t have to pay extra taxes.&nbsp;</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">According to Sewantak Pokharel, official of the Birgunj Customs Office, the corporation has paid revenue of more than Rs 10.82 billion while importing petroleum products from the Indian Oil Corporation (IOC). The Customs informed that 70 percent of total petroleum products consumed in the country is imported via the Birgunj border point.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">According to the Customs Office, the import of petroleum products decreased significantly due to last year&rsquo;s Madhesh movement and border blockade. In the review period of last year, oil and LPG worth Rs 15.53 billion was imported through the Birgunj border. Despite the increment in import of petroleum products, the cost paid for it has decreased compared to FY 2071/72 BS.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">During that year, petroleum products of Rs 53.81 billion was imported in Nepal. Pokharel said, &ldquo;It is the result of low price in petroleum products. Though there was increase of import, the cost for it has comparatively decreased than in the past.&rdquo;</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">The report of Birgunj Customs Office suggests that diesel is imported most in the period. The corporation has imported 473,069 kilolitres of diesel within nine months of current FY.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Customs Officer Arun &nbsp;Poudel informed that Rs 23.91 billion is spent for importing diesel whereas Rs 8.26 billion (166,758 kiloliters) of petrol has been imported.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">In the review year of 2071/2072 BS, where import and export was normal, 370,000 kiloliters of diesel and 132,408 kiloliters of petrol was imported.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">The report shows that 111,694 kiloliters of aviation fuel was imported within the nine months of the current FY.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Likewise, 133.844 million kilos of cooking gas was imported during the review period, shows the report. The Birgunj Customs Office has ranked petroleum in second place as regards contribution of revenue collection after the import of automobiles.</p>

<p style="text-align:justify">Dr. Toran Sharma, Chairman of the company launched both the products amid a program in Lalitpur on April 24.</p>

<p style="text-align:justify">Speaking at the program, Chairman Dr. Sharma said that farmers of Tistung and Palung villages of Makwanpur district are excited due to the establishment of the company.</p>

<p style="text-align:justify">According to him, the farmers were facing problems despite adequate production of fruits there and they were not getting reasonable price for it and fruits were rotting due to lack of market. &ldquo;We established the wine industry in that area to enhance their lifestyle by consuming the fruits they produce&rdquo;, he added.</p>

<p style="text-align:justify">Similarly, Arjun Pradhan, Managing Director of the company believes that Nepali customers will love the taste of wine made from the organic fruits. He shares, &ldquo;It is not necessary that wine should be made from grapes only. We have set example that wine made from plum and pear can also be tasty.&rdquo;</p>

<p style="text-align:justify">The company said the new products will have 10 percent alcohol and come in bottles of 750 ml at a price of Rs 500. The company informed that it has sent samples of this wine to Hong Kong and Singapore for its export.&nbsp;</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">In addition, Shankar Prasad Koirala, Secretary at the Ministry of Industry informed that the ministry has been discussing on the draft related to the startup policy which has already been completed.&nbsp;</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">He also shared that the ministry has already revamped the working procedure of the &lsquo;Challenge Fund&rsquo; after it gets approval from the government. &nbsp;Budget will also be allocated as per the need.&nbsp; He said that the government is highly concerned that no entrepreneur should stop from growth due to lack of finance.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">The summit will observe the participation of more than 300 youths from all the 75 districts of the country. Many aspiring national and international entrepreneurs will make presentations as resource persons in the programme. The international resource persons will share their experiences and discuss about the possibilities of entrepreneurship in Nepal.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">&nbsp;Though such startup programmes were organised by the private sector in the past, it is the first time that the government itself has initiated such an event for startups.&nbsp; The conference will act as a get-together for all the startup and entrepreneurship-related people.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Also, during the programme, the Ministry will present the progress report of Nepal in terms of entrepreneurship. The ministry has formed a Startup Committee to make this event successful. &quot;In today&#39;s competitive world, the country needs to bring new ideas and concepts in entrepreneurships,&quot; shares Narottam Aryal, convener of the Startup Committee.</p>

Economist Dr Posh Raj Pandey as a representative from the private sector presented a common working paper&nbsp; mentioning &nbsp;that the industrialization, comercialisation of agriculture and infrastructure development should get priority in&nbsp; the upcoming budget and policies of &nbsp;the government.&nbsp;</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">&quot;Establishing National Industrial Centre for Excellence is necessary to promote industrialisation,&quot; shared Pandey. He also said that the government should focus on inter-governmental cooperation for proper implementation of the budget.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Similarly, during the programme, Haribhakta Sharma, President of the Confederation of Nepalese Industries (CNI), said that the government should promote e-governance to save time in administrative works.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">According to Sewantak Pokharel, official of the Birgunj Customs Office, the corporation has paid revenue of more than Rs 10.82 billion while importing petroleum products from the Indian Oil Corporation (IOC). The Customs informed that 70 percent of total petroleum products consumed in the country is imported via the Birgunj border point.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">According to the Customs Office, the import of petroleum products decreased significantly due to last year&rsquo;s Madhesh movement and border blockade. In the review period of last year, oil and LPG worth Rs 15.53 billion was imported through the Birgunj border. Despite the increment in import of petroleum products, the cost paid for it has decreased compared to FY 2071/72 BS.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">During that year, petroleum products of Rs 53.81 billion was imported in Nepal. Pokharel said, &ldquo;It is the result of low price in petroleum products. Though there was increase of import, the cost for it has comparatively decreased than in the past.&rdquo;</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">The report of Birgunj Customs Office suggests that diesel is imported most in the period. The corporation has imported 473,069 kilolitres of diesel within nine months of current FY.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Customs Officer Arun &nbsp;Poudel informed that Rs 23.91 billion is spent for importing diesel whereas Rs 8.26 billion (166,758 kiloliters) of petrol has been imported.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">In the review year of 2071/2072 BS, where import and export was normal, 370,000 kiloliters of diesel and 132,408 kiloliters of petrol was imported.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">The report shows that 111,694 kiloliters of aviation fuel was imported within the nine months of the current FY.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Likewise, 133.844 million kilos of cooking gas was imported during the review period, shows the report. The Birgunj Customs Office has ranked petroleum in second place as regards contribution of revenue collection after the import of automobiles.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">He also shared that the ministry has already revamped the working procedure of the &lsquo;Challenge Fund&rsquo; after it gets approval from the government. &nbsp;Budget will also be allocated as per the need.&nbsp; He said that the government is highly concerned that no entrepreneur should stop from growth due to lack of finance.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">The summit will observe the participation of more than 300 youths from all the 75 districts of the country. Many aspiring national and international entrepreneurs will make presentations as resource persons in the programme. The international resource persons will share their experiences and discuss about the possibilities of entrepreneurship in Nepal.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">&nbsp;Though such startup programmes were organised by the private sector in the past, it is the first time that the government itself has initiated such an event for startups.&nbsp; The conference will act as a get-together for all the startup and entrepreneurship-related people.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Also, during the programme, the Ministry will present the progress report of Nepal in terms of entrepreneurship. The ministry has formed a Startup Committee to make this event successful. &quot;In today&#39;s competitive world, the country needs to bring new ideas and concepts in entrepreneurships,&quot; shares Narottam Aryal, convener of the Startup Committee.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Representatives from the private sector, entrepreneurs and other stakeholders were also present during the discussion which was organised by the Revenue Advisory Committee of the Ministry of Finance on April 24.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">The programme focused on the issue that the contribution of GDP is decreasing from the productive sector of Nepal. Economist Dr Posh Raj Pandey as a representative from the private sector presented a common working paper&nbsp; mentioning &nbsp;that the industrialization, comercialisation of agriculture and infrastructure development should get priority in&nbsp; the upcoming budget and policies of &nbsp;the government.&nbsp;</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">&quot;Establishing National Industrial Centre for Excellence is necessary to promote industrialisation,&quot; shared Pandey. He also said that the government should focus on inter-governmental cooperation for proper implementation of the budget.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Similarly, during the programme, Haribhakta Sharma, President of the Confederation of Nepalese Industries (CNI), said that the government should promote e-governance to save time in administrative works.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">He also stressed that the recently formulated Acts related to economy should be implemented by working out regulations to improve the environment for investment in Nepal.&nbsp; &quot;The increase of transport costs in the Tribhuvan International Airport has affected the import and export. So, the finance minister should address this issue,&quot; said Sharma.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Similarly, President of FNCCI Bhawani Rana said that the new budget, and policies and programmes should be business -friendly and should encourage the production- oriented industries. Rana suggested that the policies should be implemented in such a way that the entrepreneurs don&rsquo;t have to pay extra taxes.&nbsp;</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">According to Sewantak Pokharel, official of the Birgunj Customs Office, the corporation has paid revenue of more than Rs 10.82 billion while importing petroleum products from the Indian Oil Corporation (IOC). The Customs informed that 70 percent of total petroleum products consumed in the country is imported via the Birgunj border point.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">According to the Customs Office, the import of petroleum products decreased significantly due to last year&rsquo;s Madhesh movement and border blockade. In the review period of last year, oil and LPG worth Rs 15.53 billion was imported through the Birgunj border. Despite the increment in import of petroleum products, the cost paid for it has decreased compared to FY 2071/72 BS.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">During that year, petroleum products of Rs 53.81 billion was imported in Nepal. Pokharel said, &ldquo;It is the result of low price in petroleum products. Though there was increase of import, the cost for it has comparatively decreased than in the past.&rdquo;</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">The report of Birgunj Customs Office suggests that diesel is imported most in the period. The corporation has imported 473,069 kilolitres of diesel within nine months of current FY.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Customs Officer Arun &nbsp;Poudel informed that Rs 23.91 billion is spent for importing diesel whereas Rs 8.26 billion (166,758 kiloliters) of petrol has been imported.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">In the review year of 2071/2072 BS, where import and export was normal, 370,000 kiloliters of diesel and 132,408 kiloliters of petrol was imported.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">The report shows that 111,694 kiloliters of aviation fuel was imported within the nine months of the current FY.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Likewise, 133.844 million kilos of cooking gas was imported during the review period, shows the report. The Birgunj Customs Office has ranked petroleum in second place as regards contribution of revenue collection after the import of automobiles.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">He also shared that the ministry has already revamped the working procedure of the &lsquo;Challenge Fund&rsquo; after it gets approval from the government. &nbsp;Budget will also be allocated as per the need.&nbsp; He said that the government is highly concerned that no entrepreneur should stop from growth due to lack of finance.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">The summit will observe the participation of more than 300 youths from all the 75 districts of the country. Many aspiring national and international entrepreneurs will make presentations as resource persons in the programme. The international resource persons will share their experiences and discuss about the possibilities of entrepreneurship in Nepal.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">&nbsp;Though such startup programmes were organised by the private sector in the past, it is the first time that the government itself has initiated such an event for startups.&nbsp; The conference will act as a get-together for all the startup and entrepreneurship-related people.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Also, during the programme, the Ministry will present the progress report of Nepal in terms of entrepreneurship. The ministry has formed a Startup Committee to make this event successful. &quot;In today&#39;s competitive world, the country needs to bring new ideas and concepts in entrepreneurships,&quot; shares Narottam Aryal, convener of the Startup Committee.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">According to Sewantak Pokharel, official of the Birgunj Customs Office, the corporation has paid revenue of more than Rs 10.82 billion while importing petroleum products from the Indian Oil Corporation (IOC). The Customs informed that 70 percent of total petroleum products consumed in the country is imported via the Birgunj border point.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">According to the Customs Office, the import of petroleum products decreased significantly due to last year&rsquo;s Madhesh movement and border blockade. In the review period of last year, oil and LPG worth Rs 15.53 billion was imported through the Birgunj border. Despite the increment in import of petroleum products, the cost paid for it has decreased compared to FY 2071/72 BS.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">During that year, petroleum products of Rs 53.81 billion was imported in Nepal. Pokharel said, &ldquo;It is the result of low price in petroleum products. Though there was increase of import, the cost for it has comparatively decreased than in the past.&rdquo;</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">The report of Birgunj Customs Office suggests that diesel is imported most in the period. The corporation has imported 473,069 kilolitres of diesel within nine months of current FY.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Customs Officer Arun &nbsp;Poudel informed that Rs 23.91 billion is spent for importing diesel whereas Rs 8.26 billion (166,758 kiloliters) of petrol has been imported.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">In the review year of 2071/2072 BS, where import and export was normal, 370,000 kiloliters of diesel and 132,408 kiloliters of petrol was imported.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">The report shows that 111,694 kiloliters of aviation fuel was imported within the nine months of the current FY.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Likewise, 133.844 million kilos of cooking gas was imported during the review period, shows the report. The Birgunj Customs Office has ranked petroleum in second place as regards contribution of revenue collection after the import of automobiles.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">&quot;Through this major event, we want to run a startup national campaign for the young generation of Nepal,&quot; shared Industry Minister Nabindra Raj Joshi, while speaking at a programme organised at his office at Singhadurbar.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">&quot;We have a target to provide jobs to all the Nepali youths in the country itself in the next 10 years.&nbsp; For this, the government has been preparing to mobilize the national capital, as well as bring in Foreign Investment,&quot; shared Minister Joshi.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">According to him, the programme will also help attract Nepali youths who are in foreign countries in course of foreign employment. &quot;The ministry is also concerned about solving the challenges that the youths and the entrepreneurs are facing in the country,&quot; he further said.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">In addition, Shankar Prasad Koirala, Secretary at the Ministry of Industry informed that the ministry has been discussing on the draft related to the startup policy which has already been completed.&nbsp;</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">He also shared that the ministry has already revamped the working procedure of the &lsquo;Challenge Fund&rsquo; after it gets approval from the government. &nbsp;Budget will also be allocated as per the need.&nbsp; He said that the government is highly concerned that no entrepreneur should stop from growth due to lack of finance.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">The summit will observe the participation of more than 300 youths from all the 75 districts of the country. Many aspiring national and international entrepreneurs will make presentations as resource persons in the programme. The international resource persons will share their experiences and discuss about the possibilities of entrepreneurship in Nepal.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">&nbsp;Though such startup programmes were organised by the private sector in the past, it is the first time that the government itself has initiated such an event for startups.&nbsp; The conference will act as a get-together for all the startup and entrepreneurship-related people.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Also, during the programme, the Ministry will present the progress report of Nepal in terms of entrepreneurship. The ministry has formed a Startup Committee to make this event successful. &quot;In today&#39;s competitive world, the country needs to bring new ideas and concepts in entrepreneurships,&quot; shares Narottam Aryal, convener of the Startup Committee.</p>
