JICA- Nepal committed that it will prepare National Disaster Risk Reduction Policy and Strategic Action Plan to bring DRR (2015-2030) into operation.</p> <p style="text-align: justify;">"As Japan is also in the earthquake-risk zone, JICA can help Nepal to increase its potentials in earthquake rehabilitation in the central and local level," said Kimiyo Takeya, Visiting Senior Technical Advisor at JICA Headquarters.</p> <p style="text-align: justify;">The Japan Government has pledged Rs 30 billion to assist Nepal in reconstruction and rehabilitation. The colour of original bank notes are clear, dark and neat while the color of the counterfeit currency is dim, unclear and fading.</li> <li style="text-align:justify">The original bank note slowly changes to normal shape when grabbed by hand and left on the table, but the fake one remains distorted.</li> <li style="text-align:justify">The security thread of original bank notes is printed with NRB which is clearly seen while it is not seen in counterfeit currency.</li> <li style="text-align:justify">While shaking to either side, the step features in original bank notes gives special brightness but there is no such brightness in counterfeit currency.</li> <li style="text-align:justify">There is a technology to find out counterfeit currency in banking channels. If the counterfeit currency and original bank notes are hard to differentiate through simple ways, then there is a detector machine to find out counterfeit currency. This machine immediately rejects counterfeit currency. According to a source, Tamakoshi-V is cheap according to per unit electricity generation investment.</p> <p style="text-align:justify">The project-related staff said that the investment of the hydropower project will cost less as the project is being built by not constructing a dam, which will automatically save nature as all the structures are constructed underground.</p> <p style="text-align:justify">According to the detailed project report (DPR), four units of 25 MW capacity each will be installed in the project. According to this, if any company does not follow the Act, the company will be fined 0.75 percent of their annual transaction amount.</p> <p style="text-align:justify">Purushottam Nepal, Spokesperson of the Ministry of Industry (MoI) informed that CSR will be made compulsory from the current fiscal year itself. “The regulation will not be the condition for the compulsory implementation of CSR,” he said. “Currently, there is no option other than bringing the proof of certain amount that has been spent in CSR within the allocated time.”</p> <p style="text-align:justify">The Act mentions that one percent of annual profit need to be separated by medium level, large and industries transacting more than Rs 150 million annually.</p> <p style="text-align:justify">As per this, the companies should spend the allocated amount in specified areas by preparing annual plans and programmes. However, in the condition when the regulation has not been prepared, entrepreneurs are in dilemma in issues such as to how to determine whether or not CSR liabilities have been full-filled, and which areas will be considered as CSR liabilities expenditure areas.</p> <p style="text-align:justify">Every company needs to submit their total transaction amount and progress report of plans and programmes carried out under CSR within the three months of the end of FY. The preliminary draft of the regulations has been already prepared by MoI and is now under discussion. </p> <p style="text-align:justify">The ministry had earlier proposed to raise the amount in a fund and to spend in education of the poor children who are deprived of education. However, in the condition when the regulation has not been prepared, entrepreneurs are in dilemma in issues such as to how to determine whether or not CSR liabilities have been full-filled, and which areas will be considered as CSR liabilities expenditure areas.</p> <p style="text-align:justify">Every company needs to submit their total transaction amount and progress report of plans and programmes carried out under CSR within the three months of the end of FY. The colour of original bank notes are clear, dark and neat while the color of the counterfeit currency is dim, unclear and fading.</li> <li style="text-align:justify">The original bank note slowly changes to normal shape when grabbed by hand and left on the table, but the fake one remains distorted.</li> <li style="text-align:justify">The security thread of original bank notes is printed with NRB which is clearly seen while it is not seen in counterfeit currency.</li> <li style="text-align:justify">While shaking to either side, the step features in original bank notes gives special brightness but there is no such brightness in counterfeit currency.</li> <li style="text-align:justify">There is a technology to find out counterfeit currency in banking channels. If the counterfeit currency and original bank notes are hard to differentiate through simple ways, then there is a detector machine to find out counterfeit currency. This machine immediately rejects counterfeit currency. According to a source, Tamakoshi-V is cheap according to per unit electricity generation investment.</p> <p style="text-align:justify">The project-related staff said that the investment of the hydropower project will cost less as the project is being built by not constructing a dam, which will automatically save nature as all the structures are constructed underground.</p> <p style="text-align:justify">According to the detailed project report (DPR), four units of 25 MW capacity each will be installed in the project. However, there is only blank white circle in counterfeit currency.</li> <li style="text-align:justify">The half written NRB is clearly seen in light in original while it is not seen in counterfeit currency.</li> <li style="text-align:justify">The original bank notes are crisp when shaken near one’s ear while the sound of the counterfeit currency is dull.</li> <li style="text-align:justify">Counterfeit currency is not as bright as original bank notes. The colour of original bank notes are clear, dark and neat while the color of the counterfeit currency is dim, unclear and fading.</li> <li style="text-align:justify">The original bank note slowly changes to normal shape when grabbed by hand and left on the table, but the fake one remains distorted.</li> <li style="text-align:justify">The security thread of original bank notes is printed with NRB which is clearly seen while it is not seen in counterfeit currency.</li> <li style="text-align:justify">While shaking to either side, the step features in original bank notes gives special brightness but there is no such brightness in counterfeit currency.</li> <li style="text-align:justify">There is a technology to find out counterfeit currency in banking channels. If the counterfeit currency and original bank notes are hard to differentiate through simple ways, then there is a detector machine to find out counterfeit currency. This machine immediately rejects counterfeit currency. ', 'content' => '<p style="text-align:justify">April 27: The construction works of the 87 MW Tamakoshi-V Hydropower Project has been started.</p> <p style="text-align:justify">The Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) commenced the construction of the hydropower project by establishing a Tamakoshi Hydropower Company a few weeks ago. </p> <p style="text-align:justify">According to Nasib Pradhan, chief of the project, water that comes from the tailrace after being used by another Upper Tamakoshi Hydropower Project will flow through the tunnel from Lamabagar.</p> <p style="text-align:justify">He further added that the construction has started by building an underground powerhouse near Suridobhan using the water that flows through the tunnel from Jagat of Lamabagar.</p> <p style="text-align:justify">The main civil contractor Sino Hydro which constructed the Upper Tamakoshi project is constructing the underground intake of this project as well.</p> <p style="text-align:justify">The total investment of the project is Rs 13 billion. According to a source, Tamakoshi-V is cheap according to per unit electricity generation investment.</p> <p style="text-align:justify">The project-related staff said that the investment of the hydropower project will cost less as the project is being built by not constructing a dam, which will automatically save nature as all the structures are constructed underground.</p> <p style="text-align:justify">According to the detailed project report (DPR), four units of 25 MW capacity each will be installed in the project. However, in the condition when the regulation has not been prepared, entrepreneurs are in dilemma in issues such as to how to determine whether or not CSR liabilities have been full-filled, and which areas will be considered as CSR liabilities expenditure areas.</p> <p style="text-align:justify">Every company needs to submit their total transaction amount and progress report of plans and programmes carried out under CSR within the three months of the end of FY. The preliminary draft of the regulations has been already prepared by MoI and is now under discussion. </p> <p style="text-align:justify">The ministry had earlier proposed to raise the amount in a fund and to spend in education of the poor children who are deprived of education.
