NRB views it as an indicator to reasonable progress level of physical infrastructure development and increased economic activities in the area of industries and tourism sector. The report also shows improved occupancy rate among hotels.</p>

<p>Meanwhile, the NRB update also asserts gradual pickup in post-earthquake reconstruction. An engineer involved in the post-earthquake reconstruction, Mani Das, said that the reconstruction work has improved with the start of the current fiscal year. According to him, the import of construction materials has seen a massive rise, which is a positive sign.</p>

<p>Talking about the NRB update, Senior Vice-President of the Federation of Nepalese Chamber of Commerce and Industries (FNCCI) Shekhar Golchha opines, &ldquo;The government&rsquo;s effort to create an investment-friendly environment in the country has led major sectors of the country towards a positive direction. If there is political stability in the country, the industrial sector will see a drastic change,&rdquo; he added.</p>

<p>Anil Agrawal, vice president of Birgunj Chamber of Commerce and Industries (BCCI), confirmed that an indefinite ban has been imposed by the Indian Railways. Likewise, BCCI President Om Prakash Sharma informed that the government of Nepal didn&rsquo;t show any interest in addressing the environmental concerns raised by the Raxaul residents.</p>

<p>&ldquo;The ban has caused worries among Bara and Parsa based cement factories. If the government doesn&rsquo;t initiate dialogue with the Government of India immediately, the cement factories will crumble,&rdquo; said Sharma. &ldquo;We don&rsquo;t understand why the government is not serious about the issue,&rdquo; he questioned.</p>

<p>Altogether, 13 cement factories of Bara and Parsa import clinkers from Birgunj Customs Point.</p>

<p>Meanwhile, Nepali importers have requested a delegation of Indian Railways officials who visited Birgunj to review decision but the officials expressed their helplessness mentioning the decision came from the high level railway authorities.</p>

<p>Due to the protests, nine containers of Indian Railways carrying clinker are stranded on the way.</p>

<p>Earlier, residents of Raxaul had been protesting against the transportation of clinker to Nepal since a long time reasoning the increasing air pollution. They had even warned to close the customs point if their demand was not addressed.&nbsp;</p>

So, being closer to societal elements while doing business has to be an inevitable part of busienss,&rdquo; said Mahato.</p>

<p>Similarly, Vijay Kumar shared that in-depth research before starting a business and having a core process and hiring the right team are essential for business scalability.</p>

<p>&ldquo;In entrepreneurship, you make your own luck through enough experience and even by making mistakes. The more hard you work, the more luck you will gain,&rdquo; shared Warran Leow.&nbsp; He viewed that startups going to Initial Public Offering (IPO) after certain years is good and it makes them more accountable towards the public.</p>

<p>The day-long conclave focused on discussion related to smart cities, smart nations, tourism and technology, ICT for good governance, design thinking to grow faster and paving the way for global expansion.</p>

<p>The department claims that it is also requesting the Chinese government for GPS and gravity survey in the northern side of Everest, to make the measuring more accurate.</p>

<p>Anil Marasini, director and information officer at the department, said that the cost of measuring the height of Everest may cross Rs 250 million. But, for this task, the Ministry of Finance (MoF), has allocated only Rs 20 million in the current fiscal year.</p>

<p>Marasini said that the department is measuring the height of Everest as per the suggestion of a conference on &lsquo;Height of Mount Everest&rsquo; held in Kathmandu last week (third week of December). The conference saw the participation of experts from countries like Japan, the United States of America, Sweden, Switzerland, India, Italy, among others.</p>

<p>&ldquo;Nepali experts and technicians will measure the height. If needed, we will ask help from the international experts. The survey will be done by Nepal itself,&rdquo; Marasini said.</p>

According to him, the import of construction materials has seen a massive rise, which is a positive sign.</p>

<p>Talking about the NRB update, Senior Vice-President of the Federation of Nepalese Chamber of Commerce and Industries (FNCCI) Shekhar Golchha opines, &ldquo;The government&rsquo;s effort to create an investment-friendly environment in the country has led major sectors of the country towards a positive direction. If there is political stability in the country, the industrial sector will see a drastic change,&rdquo; he added.</p>

<p>&ldquo;The ban has caused worries among Bara and Parsa based cement factories. If the government doesn&rsquo;t initiate dialogue with the Government of India immediately, the cement factories will crumble,&rdquo; said Sharma. &ldquo;We don&rsquo;t understand why the government is not serious about the issue,&rdquo; he questioned.</p>

<p>Altogether, 13 cement factories of Bara and Parsa import clinkers from Birgunj Customs Point.</p>

<p>Meanwhile, Nepali importers have requested a delegation of Indian Railways officials who visited Birgunj to review decision but the officials expressed their helplessness mentioning the decision came from the high level railway authorities.</p>

<p>Due to the protests, nine containers of Indian Railways carrying clinker are stranded on the way.</p>

<p>Earlier, residents of Raxaul had been protesting against the transportation of clinker to Nepal since a long time reasoning the increasing air pollution. They had even warned to close the customs point if their demand was not addressed.&nbsp;</p>

The conclave held in the capital saw participation of around 20 national and international speakers who spoke about various aspects of entrepreneurship.</p>

<p>A panel discussion about &lsquo;Decoding Business Growth&rsquo; was one of the highlights of the event. The discussion saw the participation of Hem Raj Dhakal, co-founder and managing director of IME Group; Vijay Kumar, founder of Bizztor, India; Dr Upendra Mahato; and Warren Leow, vice president of Imagine Group, Malaysia.</p>

<p>Dhakal of IME Group said that the core values of business should be realized before initiating the business. &ldquo;Implementing the right ideas in the right time and creating opportunity will benefit the society,&rdquo; he said. He stressed that accountability towards public, investing in human capital, continuous updates and improvement in business ideas and activities and morality plays are important to make the venture successful. &nbsp;</p>

<p>Similarly, Mahato said that working closely with any social entity will make the entrepreneur disciplined and more close to the people. &ldquo;Ultimately, business is all about providing service and taking return from the people. So, being closer to societal elements while doing business has to be an inevitable part of busienss,&rdquo; said Mahato.</p>

<p>Similarly, Vijay Kumar shared that in-depth research before starting a business and having a core process and hiring the right team are essential for business scalability.</p>

<p>&ldquo;In entrepreneurship, you make your own luck through enough experience and even by making mistakes. The more hard you work, the more luck you will gain,&rdquo; shared Warran Leow.&nbsp; He viewed that startups going to Initial Public Offering (IPO) after certain years is good and it makes them more accountable towards the public.</p>

<p>The day-long conclave focused on discussion related to smart cities, smart nations, tourism and technology, ICT for good governance, design thinking to grow faster and paving the way for global expansion.</p>

<p>The department claims that it is also requesting the Chinese government for GPS and gravity survey in the northern side of Everest, to make the measuring more accurate.</p>

<p>Anil Marasini, director and information officer at the department, said that the cost of measuring the height of Everest may cross Rs 250 million. But, for this task, the Ministry of Finance (MoF), has allocated only Rs 20 million in the current fiscal year.</p>

<p>Marasini said that the department is measuring the height of Everest as per the suggestion of a conference on &lsquo;Height of Mount Everest&rsquo; held in Kathmandu last week (third week of December). The conference saw the participation of experts from countries like Japan, the United States of America, Sweden, Switzerland, India, Italy, among others.</p>

<p>&ldquo;Nepali experts and technicians will measure the height. If needed, we will ask help from the international experts. The survey will be done by Nepal itself,&rdquo; Marasini said.</p>

If the government doesn&rsquo;t initiate dialogue with the Government of India immediately, the cement factories will crumble,&rdquo; said Sharma. &ldquo;We don&rsquo;t understand why the government is not serious about the issue,&rdquo; he questioned.</p>

<p>Altogether, 13 cement factories of Bara and Parsa import clinkers from Birgunj Customs Point.</p>

<p>Anil Marasini, director and information officer at the department, said that the cost of measuring the height of Everest may cross Rs 250 million. But, for this task, the Ministry of Finance (MoF), has allocated only Rs 20 million in the current fiscal year.</p>

<p>Marasini said that the department is measuring the height of Everest as per the suggestion of a conference on &lsquo;Height of Mount Everest&rsquo; held in Kathmandu last week (third week of December). The conference saw the participation of experts from countries like Japan, the United States of America, Sweden, Switzerland, India, Italy, among others.</p>

<p>&ldquo;Nepali experts and technicians will measure the height. If needed, we will ask help from the international experts. The survey will be done by Nepal itself,&rdquo; Marasini said.</p>

<p>Anil Agrawal, vice president of Birgunj Chamber of Commerce and Industries (BCCI), confirmed that an indefinite ban has been imposed by the Indian Railways. Likewise, BCCI President Om Prakash Sharma informed that the government of Nepal didn&rsquo;t show any interest in addressing the environmental concerns raised by the Raxaul residents.</p>

<p>&ldquo;The ban has caused worries among Bara and Parsa based cement factories. If the government doesn&rsquo;t initiate dialogue with the Government of India immediately, the cement factories will crumble,&rdquo; said Sharma. &ldquo;We don&rsquo;t understand why the government is not serious about the issue,&rdquo; he questioned.</p>

<p>Altogether, 13 cement factories of Bara and Parsa import clinkers from Birgunj Customs Point.</p>

<p>Meanwhile, Nepali importers have requested a delegation of Indian Railways officials who visited Birgunj to review decision but the officials expressed their helplessness mentioning the decision came from the high level railway authorities.</p>

<p>Due to the protests, nine containers of Indian Railways carrying clinker are stranded on the way.</p>

<p>Earlier, residents of Raxaul had been protesting against the transportation of clinker to Nepal since a long time reasoning the increasing air pollution. They had even warned to close the customs point if their demand was not addressed.&nbsp;</p>

He stressed that accountability towards public, investing in human capital, continuous updates and improvement in business ideas and activities and morality plays are important to make the venture successful. &nbsp;</p>

<p>Similarly, Mahato said that working closely with any social entity will make the entrepreneur disciplined and more close to the people. &ldquo;Ultimately, business is all about providing service and taking return from the people. So, being closer to societal elements while doing business has to be an inevitable part of busienss,&rdquo; said Mahato.</p>

<p>Similarly, Vijay Kumar shared that in-depth research before starting a business and having a core process and hiring the right team are essential for business scalability.</p>

<p>&ldquo;In entrepreneurship, you make your own luck through enough experience and even by making mistakes. The more hard you work, the more luck you will gain,&rdquo; shared Warran Leow.&nbsp; He viewed that startups going to Initial Public Offering (IPO) after certain years is good and it makes them more accountable towards the public.</p>

<p>The day-long conclave focused on discussion related to smart cities, smart nations, tourism and technology, ICT for good governance, design thinking to grow faster and paving the way for global expansion.</p>

<p>The department claims that it is also requesting the Chinese government for GPS and gravity survey in the northern side of Everest, to make the measuring more accurate.</p>

<p>Anil Marasini, director and information officer at the department, said that the cost of measuring the height of Everest may cross Rs 250 million. But, for this task, the Ministry of Finance (MoF), has allocated only Rs 20 million in the current fiscal year.</p>

<p>Marasini said that the department is measuring the height of Everest as per the suggestion of a conference on &lsquo;Height of Mount Everest&rsquo; held in Kathmandu last week (third week of December). The conference saw the participation of experts from countries like Japan, the United States of America, Sweden, Switzerland, India, Italy, among others.</p>

<p>&ldquo;Nepali experts and technicians will measure the height. If needed, we will ask help from the international experts. The survey will be done by Nepal itself,&rdquo; Marasini said.</p>
