<p>He further added that there is funding gap for reconstruction so the NRA is planning to organise a donor conference next year to raise more funds.</p>

<p>&ldquo;The funding gap is Rs 300 billion,&rdquo; he said in a programme organised to celebrate the second anniversary of NRA. The NRA was formed on December 25, 2015. With no serious works for two years, the NRA has claimed that it will now do the post-earthquake reconstruction works in full swing.</p>

<p>In the first two years, there were difficulties in policy as well as in technical and management level, but it will be easier to work now, claimed the NRA.</p>

<p>The Post Disaster Needs Assessment (PDNA) report prepared by the government has estimated that it would take Rs 900 billion for the reconstruction works. The donor conference in 2015 had raised a total of Rs 400 billion including grants and loan.</p>

<p>In the last two years, NRA has spent Rs 71.52 billion. &ldquo;With the country adopting federal structure, it will be easier to carry out the reconstruction works,&rdquo; added Bhusal.</p>

<p>The Chinese company will establish the cement industry in Nepal with an investment of Rs 15 billion.</p>

<p>As per the agreement, the Chinese company will set up the industry which will produce 3,000 tons of cement daily. Huaxin will pay Rs 30 million as project charge to the government.&nbsp; The project is expected to give employment to more than 1,000 individuals.</p>

<p>The company has already bought a limestone mine at Rs 600 million in Dhading. Meanwhile, another Nepal-China joint venture company, Hongshi, is also establishing a cement industry in Nepal with an investment of Rs 36 billion. Hongshi will start its production after two months and it will have production rate of 6,000 tons of cement per day.</p>

<p>NTA had issued a tender on November 3 calling for bids to construct towers at various places. The notice had set various terms and conditions.</p>

<p>Nisesh Mishra of Lalitpur had filed a writ petition at the apex court stating that the terms and conditions set by the NTA were against the constitution and the Infrastructure Regulations 2074. Initially, the SC had issued an interim order to the NTA not to carry out construction works. But on Tuesday, the SC ruled that the notice issued by the NTA was not against the constitution and subsequently lifted the interim order.&nbsp;</p>

<p>&ldquo;The old buildings of the area police office were severely damaged by the 2015 earthquake, and the district authorities requested JICA for reconstruction support to which JICA agreed after the on-site survey. These reconstruction efforts are successful outputs amongst JICA&rsquo;s &ldquo;Build Back Better&rdquo; initiatives,&rdquo; reads the statement.</p>

<p>According to JICA, the new structures of Palungtar Area Police Office can be utilized for a wide range of police activities in order to maintain peace and stability in the area. These new structures are well equipped for people with disabilities as well.</p>

<p>The construction work for these structures began in May 2016. This is the eighth project which was completed and handed over among over 20 public facility reconstruction efforts that JICA Nepal has been undertaking in Gorkha and Sindhupalchowk districts. These projects to reconstruct earthquake-resilient public facilities are expected to be completed by mid- 2018.</p>

<p>&ldquo;The funding gap is Rs 300 billion,&rdquo; he said in a programme organised to celebrate the second anniversary of NRA. The NRA was formed on December 25, 2015. With no serious works for two years, the NRA has claimed that it will now do the post-earthquake reconstruction works in full swing.</p>

<p>In the first two years, there were difficulties in policy as well as in technical and management level, but it will be easier to work now, claimed the NRA.</p>

<p>The Post Disaster Needs Assessment (PDNA) report prepared by the government has estimated that it would take Rs 900 billion for the reconstruction works. The donor conference in 2015 had raised a total of Rs 400 billion including grants and loan.</p>

<p>In the last two years, NRA has spent Rs 71.52 billion. &ldquo;With the country adopting federal structure, it will be easier to carry out the reconstruction works,&rdquo; added Bhusal.</p>

<p>The Chinese company will establish the cement industry in Nepal with an investment of Rs 15 billion.</p>

<p>As per the agreement, the Chinese company will set up the industry which will produce 3,000 tons of cement daily. Huaxin will pay Rs 30 million as project charge to the government.&nbsp; The project is expected to give employment to more than 1,000 individuals.</p>

<p>The company has already bought a limestone mine at Rs 600 million in Dhading. Meanwhile, another Nepal-China joint venture company, Hongshi, is also establishing a cement industry in Nepal with an investment of Rs 36 billion. Hongshi will start its production after two months and it will have production rate of 6,000 tons of cement per day.</p>

<p>Nisesh Mishra of Lalitpur had filed a writ petition at the apex court stating that the terms and conditions set by the NTA were against the constitution and the Infrastructure Regulations 2074. The new buildings were jointly inaugurated by Additional Inspector General of Police Kamal Singh Bam, chief of Province-4 Police Office, Pokhara and Kozo Nagami, senior representative of JICA Nepal.</p>

<p>Issuing a press statement, JICA said that the buildings were reconstructed by JICA under its &ldquo;Project on Rehabilitation and Recovery from Nepal Earthquake&rdquo;.</p>

<p>&ldquo;The old buildings of the area police office were severely damaged by the 2015 earthquake, and the district authorities requested JICA for reconstruction support to which JICA agreed after the on-site survey. These reconstruction efforts are successful outputs amongst JICA&rsquo;s &ldquo;Build Back Better&rdquo; initiatives,&rdquo; reads the statement.</p>

<p>According to JICA, the new structures of Palungtar Area Police Office can be utilized for a wide range of police activities in order to maintain peace and stability in the area. These new structures are well equipped for people with disabilities as well.</p>

<p>The construction work for these structures began in May 2016. This is the eighth project which was completed and handed over among over 20 public facility reconstruction efforts that JICA Nepal has been undertaking in Gorkha and Sindhupalchowk districts. These projects to reconstruct earthquake-resilient public facilities are expected to be completed by mid- 2018.</p>

<p>He further added that there is funding gap for reconstruction so the NRA is planning to organise a donor conference next year to raise more funds.</p>

<p>&ldquo;The funding gap is Rs 300 billion,&rdquo; he said in a programme organised to celebrate the second anniversary of NRA. The NRA was formed on December 25, 2015. With no serious works for two years, the NRA has claimed that it will now do the post-earthquake reconstruction works in full swing.</p>

<p>In the first two years, there were difficulties in policy as well as in technical and management level, but it will be easier to work now, claimed the NRA.</p>

<p>The Post Disaster Needs Assessment (PDNA) report prepared by the government has estimated that it would take Rs 900 billion for the reconstruction works. The donor conference in 2015 had raised a total of Rs 400 billion including grants and loan.</p>

<p>In the last two years, NRA has spent Rs 71.52 billion. &ldquo;With the country adopting federal structure, it will be easier to carry out the reconstruction works,&rdquo; added Bhusal.</p>

<p>The Chinese company will establish the cement industry in Nepal with an investment of Rs 15 billion.</p>

<p>As per the agreement, the Chinese company will set up the industry which will produce 3,000 tons of cement daily. Huaxin will pay Rs 30 million as project charge to the government.&nbsp; The project is expected to give employment to more than 1,000 individuals.</p>

<p>The company has already bought a limestone mine at Rs 600 million in Dhading. Meanwhile, another Nepal-China joint venture company, Hongshi, is also establishing a cement industry in Nepal with an investment of Rs 36 billion. Hongshi will start its production after two months and it will have production rate of 6,000 tons of cement per day.</p>

This has been possible after the Supreme Court on Tuesday (December 26) vacated an interim order issued to the NTA earlier not to grant license to individuals and companies for construction works.</p>

<p>A joint bench of Chief Justice Gopal Parajuli and Justice Deepak Raj Joshi on Tuesday quashed the interim order that barred the state-owned utility outsourcing the contract works.</p>

<p>NTA had issued a tender on November 3 calling for bids to construct towers at various places. The notice had set various terms and conditions.</p>

<p>Nisesh Mishra of Lalitpur had filed a writ petition at the apex court stating that the terms and conditions set by the NTA were against the constitution and the Infrastructure Regulations 2074. Initially, the SC had issued an interim order to the NTA not to carry out construction works. But on Tuesday, the SC ruled that the notice issued by the NTA was not against the constitution and subsequently lifted the interim order.&nbsp;</p>

The new buildings were jointly inaugurated by Additional Inspector General of Police Kamal Singh Bam, chief of Province-4 Police Office, Pokhara and Kozo Nagami, senior representative of JICA Nepal.</p>

<p>Issuing a press statement, JICA said that the buildings were reconstructed by JICA under its &ldquo;Project on Rehabilitation and Recovery from Nepal Earthquake&rdquo;.</p>

<p>&ldquo;The old buildings of the area police office were severely damaged by the 2015 earthquake, and the district authorities requested JICA for reconstruction support to which JICA agreed after the on-site survey. These reconstruction efforts are successful outputs amongst JICA&rsquo;s &ldquo;Build Back Better&rdquo; initiatives,&rdquo; reads the statement.</p>

<p>According to JICA, the new structures of Palungtar Area Police Office can be utilized for a wide range of police activities in order to maintain peace and stability in the area. These new structures are well equipped for people with disabilities as well.</p>

<p>The construction work for these structures began in May 2016. This is the eighth project which was completed and handed over among over 20 public facility reconstruction efforts that JICA Nepal has been undertaking in Gorkha and Sindhupalchowk districts. These projects to reconstruct earthquake-resilient public facilities are expected to be completed by mid- 2018.</p>

<p>He further added that there is funding gap for reconstruction so the NRA is planning to organise a donor conference next year to raise more funds.</p>

<p>&ldquo;The funding gap is Rs 300 billion,&rdquo; he said in a programme organised to celebrate the second anniversary of NRA. The NRA was formed on December 25, 2015. With no serious works for two years, the NRA has claimed that it will now do the post-earthquake reconstruction works in full swing.</p>

<p>In the first two years, there were difficulties in policy as well as in technical and management level, but it will be easier to work now, claimed the NRA.</p>

<p>The Post Disaster Needs Assessment (PDNA) report prepared by the government has estimated that it would take Rs 900 billion for the reconstruction works. The donor conference in 2015 had raised a total of Rs 400 billion including grants and loan.</p>

<p>In the last two years, NRA has spent Rs 71.52 billion. &ldquo;With the country adopting federal structure, it will be easier to carry out the reconstruction works,&rdquo; added Bhusal.</p>

<p>The Chinese company will establish the cement industry in Nepal with an investment of Rs 15 billion.</p>

<p>As per the agreement, the Chinese company will set up the industry which will produce 3,000 tons of cement daily. Huaxin will pay Rs 30 million as project charge to the government.&nbsp; The project is expected to give employment to more than 1,000 individuals.</p>

<p>The company has already bought a limestone mine at Rs 600 million in Dhading. Meanwhile, another Nepal-China joint venture company, Hongshi, is also establishing a cement industry in Nepal with an investment of Rs 36 billion. Hongshi will start its production after two months and it will have production rate of 6,000 tons of cement per day.</p>

<p>Invited to bat first after losing the toss, Warriors set a 128-run target for Gladiators in 17.2 overs losing just two wickets.</p>

<p>Babar Hyat scored the highest 62 runs off 44 balls including five sixes and four boundaries for Warriors. Likewise, unbeaten captain Paras Khadka scored 41 runs and Amshuman Rath 26 runs (not out).</p>

<p>Gladiators were all out in the stipulated 20 overs with 127 runs.</p>

<p>Punit Mehera made the highest 49 runs, while Aarif Shekh scored 46 runs.</p>

<p>Warriors&#39;s Hyat was declared man of the match in the match.</p>

<p>Earlier on Tuesday (December 26), Bhairahawa Gladiators reached the playoff by beating Chitwan Tigers by four wickets.</p>

<p>Invited to bat first after losing the toss, the Gladiators gave an 88-run victory target for Tigers in 18.3 overs at the loss of six wickets.</p>

<p>Punit Mehara made the highest 30 runs for Gladiators, while Rohit Kumar Poudel made 20 runs. Likewise, Bhupendra Thapa contributed 13 runs, Krishna Karki nine runs and skipper Sharad Vesawkar scored eight runs.</p>

<p>For the Tigers, Dipendra Singh Airee and Shahab Alam took two wickets each. Likewise, Kamal Singh Airee and Prabin Gupta claimed one wicket each.</p>

<p>Tigers were short of one run to meet the target in the stipulated 20 overs for 87 runs at the loss of nine wickets.</p>

<p>Captain Dipendra and Yogendra Singh Karki made 15 runs each, while Lalit Singh Bhandari smashed 13 runs. Aakash Thapa contributed 10 runs, Prabin eight runs and Dilip Nath four runs.&nbsp;</p>

This has been possible after the Supreme Court on Tuesday (December 26) vacated an interim order issued to the NTA earlier not to grant license to individuals and companies for construction works.</p>

<p>A joint bench of Chief Justice Gopal Parajuli and Justice Deepak Raj Joshi on Tuesday quashed the interim order that barred the state-owned utility outsourcing the contract works.</p>

<p>NTA had issued a tender on November 3 calling for bids to construct towers at various places. The notice had set various terms and conditions.</p>

<p>Nisesh Mishra of Lalitpur had filed a writ petition at the apex court stating that the terms and conditions set by the NTA were against the constitution and the Infrastructure Regulations 2074. Initially, the SC had issued an interim order to the NTA not to carry out construction works. But on Tuesday, the SC ruled that the notice issued by the NTA was not against the constitution and subsequently lifted the interim order.&nbsp;</p>

The new buildings were jointly inaugurated by Additional Inspector General of Police Kamal Singh Bam, chief of Province-4 Police Office, Pokhara and Kozo Nagami, senior representative of JICA Nepal.</p>

<p>Issuing a press statement, JICA said that the buildings were reconstructed by JICA under its &ldquo;Project on Rehabilitation and Recovery from Nepal Earthquake&rdquo;.</p>

<p>&ldquo;The old buildings of the area police office were severely damaged by the 2015 earthquake, and the district authorities requested JICA for reconstruction support to which JICA agreed after the on-site survey. These reconstruction efforts are successful outputs amongst JICA&rsquo;s &ldquo;Build Back Better&rdquo; initiatives,&rdquo; reads the statement.</p>

<p>According to JICA, the new structures of Palungtar Area Police Office can be utilized for a wide range of police activities in order to maintain peace and stability in the area. These new structures are well equipped for people with disabilities as well.</p>

<p>The construction work for these structures began in May 2016. This is the eighth project which was completed and handed over among over 20 public facility reconstruction efforts that JICA Nepal has been undertaking in Gorkha and Sindhupalchowk districts. These projects to reconstruct earthquake-resilient public facilities are expected to be completed by mid- 2018.</p>
