<p>Organising a press conference on March 5, the embassy said that event will involve French embassies abroad and chefs from around the world on the same evening (March 21) with one common objective: celebrate French gastronomy with the local products and talent. &nbsp;</p>

<p>&ldquo;This fourth year will see some 3,000 participating restaurants worldwide,&rdquo; the embassy said in a statement.</p>

<p>During the press conference organized at the R&eacute;sidence of France in Kathmandu, French Ambassador to Nepal, Yves Carmona said, &ldquo;There is a traditional strong link between diplomacy and gastronomy.&nbsp; There was a cuisine &quot;&agrave; la fran&ccedil;aise&quot; already in the 14th century, well before there were permanent embassies in the 16th century.&rdquo;&nbsp;</p>

<p>He also said that &ldquo;although the origin of the event is French, it can be considered a very Nepali event since almost all restaurants or schools are run by Nepalis.&nbsp; It perfectly exemplifies the spirit of openness of French gastronomy and is a testament of Nepali talent&rdquo;.&nbsp;</p>

<p>March 6: Nepal&rsquo;s embassy in Muscat, Oman has rescued 11 workers who were stranded in the Gulf nation. Issuing a press statement, the Nepali embassy said that it has returned the rescued workers back to Nepal after negotiation their release from their employer.</p>

<p>According to the embassy, about 20 Nepalis employed by Sohar-based Muwarad Wadi Hibi Modern Trade had sought help from the embassy after they were not provided proper facilities as pledged in their contract papers.</p>

<p>The Nepali workers were sent to Oman by Honesty Overseas Pvt Ltd, a manpower company which has obtained the license from the government of Nepal to send workers overseas. The workers had claimed that they were left stranded some 165 kilometers away from the company in a place known as Barka.</p>

<p>The embassy said it made a field visit to the place and immediately took measures for their safety. Even after repeated attempts with the concerned authorities to secure their rights, the embassy couldn&rsquo;t succeed in solving the problem and decided to send the workers back to Nepal upon their request.</p>

<p>The embassy has also written to the concerned authorities to take action against the companies.</p>

<p>During the press conference organized at the R&eacute;sidence of France in Kathmandu, French Ambassador to Nepal, Yves Carmona said, &ldquo;There is a traditional strong link between diplomacy and gastronomy.&nbsp; There was a cuisine &quot;&agrave; la fran&ccedil;aise&quot; already in the 14th century, well before there were permanent embassies in the 16th century.&rdquo;&nbsp;</p>

<p>He also said that &ldquo;although the origin of the event is French, it can be considered a very Nepali event since almost all restaurants or schools are run by Nepalis.&nbsp; It perfectly exemplifies the spirit of openness of French gastronomy and is a testament of Nepali talent&rdquo;.&nbsp;</p>

<p>March 6: Nepal&rsquo;s embassy in Muscat, Oman has rescued 11 workers who were stranded in the Gulf nation. Issuing a press statement, the Nepali embassy said that it has returned the rescued workers back to Nepal after negotiation their release from their employer.</p>

<p>According to the embassy, about 20 Nepalis employed by Sohar-based Muwarad Wadi Hibi Modern Trade had sought help from the embassy after they were not provided proper facilities as pledged in their contract papers.</p>

<p>The Nepali workers were sent to Oman by Honesty Overseas Pvt Ltd, a manpower company which has obtained the license from the government of Nepal to send workers overseas. The workers had claimed that they were left stranded some 165 kilometers away from the company in a place known as Barka.</p>

<p>The embassy said it made a field visit to the place and immediately took measures for their safety. Even after repeated attempts with the concerned authorities to secure their rights, the embassy couldn&rsquo;t succeed in solving the problem and decided to send the workers back to Nepal upon their request.</p>

<p>The embassy has also written to the concerned authorities to take action against the companies.</p>

<p>March 6: Nepal&rsquo;s embassy in Muscat, Oman has rescued 11 workers who were stranded in the Gulf nation. Issuing a press statement, the Nepali embassy said that it has returned the rescued workers back to Nepal after negotiation their release from their employer.</p>

<p>According to the embassy, about 20 Nepalis employed by Sohar-based Muwarad Wadi Hibi Modern Trade had sought help from the embassy after they were not provided proper facilities as pledged in their contract papers.</p>

<p>The Nepali workers were sent to Oman by Honesty Overseas Pvt Ltd, a manpower company which has obtained the license from the government of Nepal to send workers overseas. The workers had claimed that they were left stranded some 165 kilometers away from the company in a place known as Barka.</p>

<p>The embassy said it made a field visit to the place and immediately took measures for their safety. Even after repeated attempts with the concerned authorities to secure their rights, the embassy couldn&rsquo;t succeed in solving the problem and decided to send the workers back to Nepal upon their request.</p>

<p>The embassy has also written to the concerned authorities to take action against the companies.</p>

<p>March 6: Nepal&rsquo;s embassy in Muscat, Oman has rescued 11 workers who were stranded in the Gulf nation. Issuing a press statement, the Nepali embassy said that it has returned the rescued workers back to Nepal after negotiation their release from their employer.</p>

<p>According to the embassy, about 20 Nepalis employed by Sohar-based Muwarad Wadi Hibi Modern Trade had sought help from the embassy after they were not provided proper facilities as pledged in their contract papers.</p>

<p>The Nepali workers were sent to Oman by Honesty Overseas Pvt Ltd, a manpower company which has obtained the license from the government of Nepal to send workers overseas. The workers had claimed that they were left stranded some 165 kilometers away from the company in a place known as Barka.</p>

<p>The embassy said it made a field visit to the place and immediately took measures for their safety. Even after repeated attempts with the concerned authorities to secure their rights, the embassy couldn&rsquo;t succeed in solving the problem and decided to send the workers back to Nepal upon their request.</p>

<p>The embassy has also written to the concerned authorities to take action against the companies.</p>
