<p>The two-day event had more than 250 participants from different institutions and professions.&nbsp; It featured Deepak Babu Tiwari, Joint president at Reliance Spinning Mills Ltd, Dr. Malavika Desai, a PhD in Organizational Behavior and a psychologist and Ananda Munshi, one of the top motivational speakers in India.</p>

<p>The program addressed the concept of &ldquo;Productivity through Employee Motivation&rdquo; through presentations, exercises, knowledge, experiences and idea sharing of the resource persons. &nbsp;</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Speaking in a news conference organised by ADB country office here today, he said the ADB would provide approximately Rs 6 billion additional support for reconstruction if Nepal deemed it necessary.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">The ADB has expressed dissatisfaction over the delay in the reconstruction works in the earthquake-affected districts and in the distribution of relief to the victims.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Zhang said that during his meetings held separately with Prime Minister KP Oli, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Energy Top Bahadur Rayamajhi, Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Poudel, Minister for Culture,Tourism and Civil Aviation Ananda Prasad Pokharel, the National Planning Commission (NOC) vice-chairman Dr Yubraj Khatiwada and high government officials, he urged them to expedite the post-quake reconstruction works and speed upADB-funded projects.</p>

<p>Among the companies that have published financial reports, Life insurance Corporation (Nepal)&rsquo;s profit has boosted the maximum with 49% growth in review period. Company has earned Rs. 32.6 million profit by the end of the second quarter of current fiscal year which was Rs. 21.7 million in the corresponding period of last fiscal year. Similarly, profit of Prime Life Insurance has increased 46%. Prime Life was able to earn profit of Rs. &nbsp;68.2 million in the six months period of current fiscal year which was Rs. 46.6 million in the corresponding period of last fiscal year.&nbsp;</p>

<p>In terms of profit in absolute amount, Nepal Life Insurance has topped the list with the highest amount of profit. During the review period, the company earned Rs. 143.9 million that is 43% growth over the corresponding period of last fiscal year.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The increase in profit of the companies is due to increase in their revenue complemented by reduction in operating expenses. As per the financial reports, income of these companies has gone up 14% while administration expenses have decreased 4.38%.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Most of the companies have earned high on &lsquo;loan, investment and others&rsquo; category, while the highest reduction in the expenses has been under the heading of employees&rsquo; bonus. Nepal life insurance has recorded the highest increase in income (31% to Rs. 54.1 million).&nbsp;</p>

<p>Meanwhile, income of Gurans Life insurance and Rastriya Beema Sansthan has decreased by 10% each. Likewise, Nepal Life Insurance has decreased its expenses by 21% whereas Metlife Insurance and Gurans Life Insurance have increased thier expenses by 26% and 32% respectively. &nbsp;</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Tankers carrying fuel from Barauni of India have stopped depositing fuel at the depot of regional office of the Nepal Oli Corporation, Biratnagar, as well as refilling fuel from the depot.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">The Biratnagar depot supplies fuel in 12 districts of Sagarmatha and Koshi zones. According to the NOC, Regional Office, the districts have started witnessing fuel shortage for the lack of supply of petroleum products for the past four days.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">The frequent meeting held between NOC officials and office-bearers of the Association in this regard went vain. A total of 600 kiloliters of fuel is consumed daily in these districts.&nbsp; RSS</p>

<p>Compensation of Rs 2.50 billion has been so far distributed to 496 land owners in first, second and third phase, shared senior Supervisor at Pokhara international Airport Project Deepjyoti Rajbhandari.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Till date the land owners have received the compensation of 439.52 ropanis land. With this the compensation for 51 ropanis land is yet to be distributed and the process for the same has been intiated, Rajbhandari added.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The timeline for distributing land compensation can be extended for those who were left in previous phases, the project sources said. It is noted that the construction of the Pokhara International Airport has been eased with the expedition of land acquisition works and signing loan agreement with the China&#39;s EXIM Bank to that end.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Though 3,106 ropanis land was occupied for the construction of the international airport in Pokhara in 2032 BS it was not taken ahead citing several reasons. RSS</p>

Manager of Sajha Yatayat Mahendra Raj Pandey informed that the buses will be disabled-friendly with capacity of 40 seats and, including passengers who stand up, a total of 80 people can travel in the bus at a time.</p>

<p>Sajha had called global tender for purchase of new buses in last Mangsir. Among two interested companies, Ashok Leyland succeeded to acquire the tender.</p>

<p>&ldquo;Sajha is already into LC opening process to purchase bus, new buses will arrive in five months,&rdquo; says Pandey.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Previously, trading of shares of the companies registered in the Company Registrar Office but not listed in securities market were carried out directly from Registrar Office as per decisions of board of directors of the companies.&nbsp; However, the Company Registrar Office issued a circular few weeks back regarding the ownership transfer of shares of such companies. As per the circular, ownership transfer and trading of shares of such companies was made mandatory to be transacted in the OTC market.</p>

<p>&ldquo;Following the directive, Maruti company&rsquo;s shares are traded in OTC market for the first time&rdquo;, says Timilsina. Furthermore, he informs that Hathaway Investment Company and Global IME Bank have also initiated registration process in the market. &ldquo;Other several companies are inquiring about it,&rdquo; he adds.</p>

<p>According to OTC Market Operation Bylaws 2065, ownership transfer and trading of shares of companies should be carried out in the market. After the circular, public companies along with hundreds of other companies that are not listed in securities market are forced to trade in the OTC market. &ldquo;Share owners need to pay capital gain tax while trading in OTC market which will increase government revenue,&rdquo; mentions Timilsina, adding, &ldquo;Trading in OTC market will result transparency.&rdquo;</p>

<p>Transactions through OTC market are free of cost. Registration of the companies is also free in the OTC market. But in case of capital gain, capital gain tax is payable to the government. According to OTC market operation bylaws 7, natural person need to pay 5 percent tax, while corporate person need to pay 10 percent tax on capital gain. &ldquo;Government is losing billion of revenue as public limited companies are not trading through OTC market,&rdquo; says Timilsina.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">The ADB has expressed dissatisfaction over the delay in the reconstruction works in the earthquake-affected districts and in the distribution of relief to the victims.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Zhang said that during his meetings held separately with Prime Minister KP Oli, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Energy Top Bahadur Rayamajhi, Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Poudel, Minister for Culture,Tourism and Civil Aviation Ananda Prasad Pokharel, the National Planning Commission (NOC) vice-chairman Dr Yubraj Khatiwada and high government officials, he urged them to expedite the post-quake reconstruction works and speed upADB-funded projects.</p>

<p>Among the companies that have published financial reports, Life insurance Corporation (Nepal)&rsquo;s profit has boosted the maximum with 49% growth in review period. Company has earned Rs. 32.6 million profit by the end of the second quarter of current fiscal year which was Rs. 21.7 million in the corresponding period of last fiscal year. Similarly, profit of Prime Life Insurance has increased 46%. Prime Life was able to earn profit of Rs. &nbsp;68.2 million in the six months period of current fiscal year which was Rs. 46.6 million in the corresponding period of last fiscal year.&nbsp;</p>

<p>In terms of profit in absolute amount, Nepal Life Insurance has topped the list with the highest amount of profit. During the review period, the company earned Rs. 143.9 million that is 43% growth over the corresponding period of last fiscal year.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The increase in profit of the companies is due to increase in their revenue complemented by reduction in operating expenses. As per the financial reports, income of these companies has gone up 14% while administration expenses have decreased 4.38%.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Most of the companies have earned high on &lsquo;loan, investment and others&rsquo; category, while the highest reduction in the expenses has been under the heading of employees&rsquo; bonus. Nepal life insurance has recorded the highest increase in income (31% to Rs. 54.1 million).&nbsp;</p>

<p>Meanwhile, income of Gurans Life insurance and Rastriya Beema Sansthan has decreased by 10% each. Likewise, Nepal Life Insurance has decreased its expenses by 21% whereas Metlife Insurance and Gurans Life Insurance have increased thier expenses by 26% and 32% respectively. &nbsp;</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Tankers carrying fuel from Barauni of India have stopped depositing fuel at the depot of regional office of the Nepal Oli Corporation, Biratnagar, as well as refilling fuel from the depot.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">The Biratnagar depot supplies fuel in 12 districts of Sagarmatha and Koshi zones. According to the NOC, Regional Office, the districts have started witnessing fuel shortage for the lack of supply of petroleum products for the past four days.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">The frequent meeting held between NOC officials and office-bearers of the Association in this regard went vain. A total of 600 kiloliters of fuel is consumed daily in these districts.&nbsp; RSS</p>

<p>Compensation of Rs 2.50 billion has been so far distributed to 496 land owners in first, second and third phase, shared senior Supervisor at Pokhara international Airport Project Deepjyoti Rajbhandari.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Till date the land owners have received the compensation of 439.52 ropanis land. With this the compensation for 51 ropanis land is yet to be distributed and the process for the same has been intiated, Rajbhandari added.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The timeline for distributing land compensation can be extended for those who were left in previous phases, the project sources said. It is noted that the construction of the Pokhara International Airport has been eased with the expedition of land acquisition works and signing loan agreement with the China&#39;s EXIM Bank to that end.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Though 3,106 ropanis land was occupied for the construction of the international airport in Pokhara in 2032 BS it was not taken ahead citing several reasons. RSS</p>

<p>Previously, trading of shares of the companies registered in the Company Registrar Office but not listed in securities market were carried out directly from Registrar Office as per decisions of board of directors of the companies.&nbsp; However, the Company Registrar Office issued a circular few weeks back regarding the ownership transfer of shares of such companies. As per the circular, ownership transfer and trading of shares of such companies was made mandatory to be transacted in the OTC market.</p>

<p>&ldquo;Following the directive, Maruti company&rsquo;s shares are traded in OTC market for the first time&rdquo;, says Timilsina. Furthermore, he informs that Hathaway Investment Company and Global IME Bank have also initiated registration process in the market. &ldquo;Other several companies are inquiring about it,&rdquo; he adds.</p>

<p>According to OTC Market Operation Bylaws 2065, ownership transfer and trading of shares of companies should be carried out in the market. After the circular, public companies along with hundreds of other companies that are not listed in securities market are forced to trade in the OTC market. &ldquo;Share owners need to pay capital gain tax while trading in OTC market which will increase government revenue,&rdquo; mentions Timilsina, adding, &ldquo;Trading in OTC market will result transparency.&rdquo;</p>

<p>Transactions through OTC market are free of cost. Registration of the companies is also free in the OTC market. But in case of capital gain, capital gain tax is payable to the government. According to OTC market operation bylaws 7, natural person need to pay 5 percent tax, while corporate person need to pay 10 percent tax on capital gain. &ldquo;Government is losing billion of revenue as public limited companies are not trading through OTC market,&rdquo; says Timilsina.</p>

<p>Among the companies that have published financial reports, Life insurance Corporation (Nepal)&rsquo;s profit has boosted the maximum with 49% growth in review period. Company has earned Rs. 32.6 million profit by the end of the second quarter of current fiscal year which was Rs. 21.7 million in the corresponding period of last fiscal year. Similarly, profit of Prime Life Insurance has increased 46%. Prime Life was able to earn profit of Rs. &nbsp;68.2 million in the six months period of current fiscal year which was Rs. 46.6 million in the corresponding period of last fiscal year.&nbsp;</p>

<p>In terms of profit in absolute amount, Nepal Life Insurance has topped the list with the highest amount of profit. During the review period, the company earned Rs. 143.9 million that is 43% growth over the corresponding period of last fiscal year.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The increase in profit of the companies is due to increase in their revenue complemented by reduction in operating expenses. As per the financial reports, income of these companies has gone up 14% while administration expenses have decreased 4.38%.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Most of the companies have earned high on &lsquo;loan, investment and others&rsquo; category, while the highest reduction in the expenses has been under the heading of employees&rsquo; bonus. Nepal life insurance has recorded the highest increase in income (31% to Rs. 54.1 million).&nbsp;</p>

<p>Meanwhile, income of Gurans Life insurance and Rastriya Beema Sansthan has decreased by 10% each. Likewise, Nepal Life Insurance has decreased its expenses by 21% whereas Metlife Insurance and Gurans Life Insurance have increased thier expenses by 26% and 32% respectively. &nbsp;</p>

<p>Compensation of Rs 2.50 billion has been so far distributed to 496 land owners in first, second and third phase, shared senior Supervisor at Pokhara international Airport Project Deepjyoti Rajbhandari.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Till date the land owners have received the compensation of 439.52 ropanis land. With this the compensation for 51 ropanis land is yet to be distributed and the process for the same has been intiated, Rajbhandari added.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The timeline for distributing land compensation can be extended for those who were left in previous phases, the project sources said. It is noted that the construction of the Pokhara International Airport has been eased with the expedition of land acquisition works and signing loan agreement with the China&#39;s EXIM Bank to that end.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Previously, trading of shares of the companies registered in the Company Registrar Office but not listed in securities market were carried out directly from Registrar Office as per decisions of board of directors of the companies.&nbsp; However, the Company Registrar Office issued a circular few weeks back regarding the ownership transfer of shares of such companies. As per the circular, ownership transfer and trading of shares of such companies was made mandatory to be transacted in the OTC market.</p>

<p>&ldquo;Following the directive, Maruti company&rsquo;s shares are traded in OTC market for the first time&rdquo;, says Timilsina. Furthermore, he informs that Hathaway Investment Company and Global IME Bank have also initiated registration process in the market. &ldquo;Other several companies are inquiring about it,&rdquo; he adds.</p>

<p>According to OTC Market Operation Bylaws 2065, ownership transfer and trading of shares of companies should be carried out in the market. After the circular, public companies along with hundreds of other companies that are not listed in securities market are forced to trade in the OTC market. &ldquo;Share owners need to pay capital gain tax while trading in OTC market which will increase government revenue,&rdquo; mentions Timilsina, adding, &ldquo;Trading in OTC market will result transparency.&rdquo;</p>

<p>Transactions through OTC market are free of cost. Registration of the companies is also free in the OTC market. But in case of capital gain, capital gain tax is payable to the government. According to OTC market operation bylaws 7, natural person need to pay 5 percent tax, while corporate person need to pay 10 percent tax on capital gain. &ldquo;Government is losing billion of revenue as public limited companies are not trading through OTC market,&rdquo; says Timilsina.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">The ADB has expressed dissatisfaction over the delay in the reconstruction works in the earthquake-affected districts and in the distribution of relief to the victims.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Zhang said that during his meetings held separately with Prime Minister KP Oli, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Energy Top Bahadur Rayamajhi, Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Poudel, Minister for Culture,Tourism and Civil Aviation Ananda Prasad Pokharel, the National Planning Commission (NOC) vice-chairman Dr Yubraj Khatiwada and high government officials, he urged them to expedite the post-quake reconstruction works and speed upADB-funded projects.</p>

<p>Among the companies that have published financial reports, Life insurance Corporation (Nepal)&rsquo;s profit has boosted the maximum with 49% growth in review period. Company has earned Rs. 32.6 million profit by the end of the second quarter of current fiscal year which was Rs. 21.7 million in the corresponding period of last fiscal year. Similarly, profit of Prime Life Insurance has increased 46%. Prime Life was able to earn profit of Rs. &nbsp;68.2 million in the six months period of current fiscal year which was Rs. 46.6 million in the corresponding period of last fiscal year.&nbsp;</p>

<p>In terms of profit in absolute amount, Nepal Life Insurance has topped the list with the highest amount of profit. During the review period, the company earned Rs. 143.9 million that is 43% growth over the corresponding period of last fiscal year.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The increase in profit of the companies is due to increase in their revenue complemented by reduction in operating expenses. As per the financial reports, income of these companies has gone up 14% while administration expenses have decreased 4.38%.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Most of the companies have earned high on &lsquo;loan, investment and others&rsquo; category, while the highest reduction in the expenses has been under the heading of employees&rsquo; bonus. Nepal life insurance has recorded the highest increase in income (31% to Rs. 54.1 million).&nbsp;</p>

<p>Meanwhile, income of Gurans Life insurance and Rastriya Beema Sansthan has decreased by 10% each. Likewise, Nepal Life Insurance has decreased its expenses by 21% whereas Metlife Insurance and Gurans Life Insurance have increased thier expenses by 26% and 32% respectively. &nbsp;</p>

<p>Compensation of Rs 2.50 billion has been so far distributed to 496 land owners in first, second and third phase, shared senior Supervisor at Pokhara international Airport Project Deepjyoti Rajbhandari.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Till date the land owners have received the compensation of 439.52 ropanis land. With this the compensation for 51 ropanis land is yet to be distributed and the process for the same has been intiated, Rajbhandari added.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The timeline for distributing land compensation can be extended for those who were left in previous phases, the project sources said. It is noted that the construction of the Pokhara International Airport has been eased with the expedition of land acquisition works and signing loan agreement with the China&#39;s EXIM Bank to that end.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Though 3,106 ropanis land was occupied for the construction of the international airport in Pokhara in 2032 BS it was not taken ahead citing several reasons. RSS</p>

<p>According to the press release, merged entity will be functioning as national level development bank with new name &ldquo;Om Development Bank Ltd&rdquo;. Sushil Kumar Goshali, Chairman of Om Finance will be the Chairperson of the newly merged company. In the integrated entity,&nbsp; Bishwo Mohan Adhikari, CEO of City Development Bank will be serving as CEO while Budhi Kumar Malla, CEO of Om Finance will be serving as deputy CEO.</p>

<p>After integrated transactions, bank&rsquo;s paid up capital will totaled Rs. 1.05 billion, deposit Rs. 10.9 million and loan investment Rs. 9.08 million. Similarly, bank will have 25 branches, 3 ATMs, 219 employees and nearly 100 thousands customers. &ldquo;Total no of shareholders reaches 16,275&rdquo;, says Bishwo Mohan Adhikari, CEO of City development Bank.</p>

<p>Previously, trading of shares of the companies registered in the Company Registrar Office but not listed in securities market were carried out directly from Registrar Office as per decisions of board of directors of the companies.&nbsp; However, the Company Registrar Office issued a circular few weeks back regarding the ownership transfer of shares of such companies. As per the circular, ownership transfer and trading of shares of such companies was made mandatory to be transacted in the OTC market.</p>

<p>&ldquo;Following the directive, Maruti company&rsquo;s shares are traded in OTC market for the first time&rdquo;, says Timilsina. Furthermore, he informs that Hathaway Investment Company and Global IME Bank have also initiated registration process in the market. &ldquo;Other several companies are inquiring about it,&rdquo; he adds.</p>

<p>According to OTC Market Operation Bylaws 2065, ownership transfer and trading of shares of companies should be carried out in the market. After the circular, public companies along with hundreds of other companies that are not listed in securities market are forced to trade in the OTC market. &ldquo;Share owners need to pay capital gain tax while trading in OTC market which will increase government revenue,&rdquo; mentions Timilsina, adding, &ldquo;Trading in OTC market will result transparency.&rdquo;</p>

<p>Transactions through OTC market are free of cost. Registration of the companies is also free in the OTC market. But in case of capital gain, capital gain tax is payable to the government. According to OTC market operation bylaws 7, natural person need to pay 5 percent tax, while corporate person need to pay 10 percent tax on capital gain. &ldquo;Government is losing billion of revenue as public limited companies are not trading through OTC market,&rdquo; says Timilsina.</p>
