May 29: The government has allocated a budget of Rs 197 billion for the Ministry of Education, Science, and Technology.

During the budget presentation at the parliament for fiscal year 2023/2024 on Monday, the Finance Minister Dr. Prakash Sharan Mahat announced the allocation of Rs 197.29  billion for the Ministry of Education, Science, and Technology.

As per the budget allocation, Rs 70 billion has been allocated for education at the federal level. Similarly, Rs 5.32 billion has been allocated for the provincial level, and Rs 121 billion has been appropriated to the local level.

The Finance Minister, Dr. Mahat, mentioned that the government has prepared the budget for the fiscal year 2023/2024, focusing on the second phase of economic reforms and structural changes of economy.
