Among the 80MW, import of 40MW has started from January 1, whereas additional 40MW will be imported from February 1.</p>

<p>MoE has also expressed its willingness to purchase power produced from various resources within the country to fulfill the demand of electricity.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">The government had decided to provide Rs 2.5 million to the quake victims of Kathmandu Valley and Rs 1.5 million to the victims residing outside the Valley to rebuild their houses at an annual interest rate of two percent. Narayan Prasad Subedi, Spokesperson of NRB informed that Rs 254.8 million has already been distributed as the refinancing facility to the quake victims.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">According to NRB, BFIs have provided subsidised loans totaling Rs 59 million last year to the quake victims while it has amounted Rs 195.8 million this year.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">According to a report prepared by the National Planning Commission (NPC), 498,852 houses were completely destroyed and similar number of houses were partially damaged in the devastating earthquake that rattled that nation in 2015.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">It is said that the ineffective implementation of the plan is due to the 16-point work procedure of the central bank and internal loan policy of the BFIs. According to the Work Procedure, 2072 issued by NRB, the refinancing scheme is available only to those who have completely lost their houses in the quake.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Sanima Bank has provided subsidised loans under the refinancing scheme to five quake victims so far. As per the bank, among the loan recipients, two are from Kathmandu Valley, whereas three are from outside the capital valley. Hemanta Shrestha, Credit Department Head of Sanima Bank Kalanki Branch office said that the bank provides the loan only after the owners starts Damp Proof Course (DPC) process of the houses.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">He further said that earthquake victim identity card, income source, land near 10 feet road and approved earthquake resistant house blueprint, among others, are required to apply for the subsidised loans under the refinancing scheme. The BFIs then after provide such loans to the applicants on the basis of the NRB work procedure taking the land as the collateral.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">NRB has been providing the BFIs with the money at zero percent interest rate to undertake refinancing scheme to aid quake victims.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Though the demand of Nepal&rsquo;s large cardamom is high in the international markets, lack of proper identification has been hindering the country to export the products.</p>

<p>According to Siddhi Charan Dahal, senior officer at the Trade and Export Promotion Center (TEPC), the government has already completed the trademark registration of cardamom last year.</p>

<p>&nbsp;&ldquo;The large Nepali cardamom has been registered as the &lsquo;Everest Big Cardamom&rsquo; and will be known by the same name in the international market,&rdquo; Dahal informed.</p>

<p>As per a source close to the matter, the collective trademark of cardamom will be implemented within a few days with the unified approach of Cardamom Producers Association and other stakeholders.</p>

<p>The TEPC said that the trademark of cardamom will be registered in India, Pakistan and United Arab Emirates in the first phase.</p>

<p>The center said that it has planned to move ahead with the trademark registration process in other countries after observing the demand of Nepali cardamom.</p>

<p>Cardamom is the major export commodity of Nepal.</p>

<p>India has the largest market for Nepali cardamom. In the recent years, the agro product is being exported to third countries via India.</p>

<p>India has been importing Nepali cardamom as a raw material and exporting it to other countries as finished products.</p>

<p>Cardamom entrepreneurs said that they have been facing substantial losses from this.</p>

<p>As per the TEPC data, Nepal exports large cardamom worth Rs four billion annually.</p>

<p>Meanwhile, the process of registering the trademark of carpet has progressed in the Department of Industry (DoI).</p>

<p>&nbsp;According to a source, Central Carpet Industries Association (CCIA) and Nepal Carpet Exporters Association (NCEA) have started the work procedure to register the trademark of carpet.</p>

<p>The registration process is expected to complete within a year.</p>

<p>In the initial phase, the trademark of carpet will be registered in the US, Europe and China in the first phase.</p>

<p>The demand of Nepali carpet is high in those countries. As per the source, the trademark will be registered in other countries later.</p>

<p>Official data shows that Nepal exports carpets worth Rs six billion annually.&nbsp;</p>

<p>According to a source at the Prime Minister&rsquo;s office, Gyawali was served 24 hours to submit his clarification that why he should not be dismissed from the post.</p>

<p>It is for the second time Gyawali has been asked clarification as per the suggestion of attorney general, citing that the clarification submitted by him earlier was not satisfactory.</p>

<p>The government had asked explanation from the official for the first time on December 29 expressing dissatisfaction with the work of NRA.</p>

<p>With this decision, Gyawali&rsquo;s dismissal has been halted till Friday.</p>

<p>In his clarification, he claimed that the NRA has been working according to the plans and policies made by the office and the quake victims have been receiving first installment of aid money to build their houses.</p>

<p>Gyawali was appointed by the erstwhile KP Sharma Oli-led government on 2015 for five years.</p>

Among the 80MW, import of 40MW has started from January 1, whereas additional 40MW will be imported from February 1.</p>

Narayan Prasad Subedi, Spokesperson of NRB informed that Rs 254.8 million has already been distributed as the refinancing facility to the quake victims.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">According to NRB, BFIs have provided subsidised loans totaling Rs 59 million last year to the quake victims while it has amounted Rs 195.8 million this year.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">According to a report prepared by the National Planning Commission (NPC), 498,852 houses were completely destroyed and similar number of houses were partially damaged in the devastating earthquake that rattled that nation in 2015.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">It is said that the ineffective implementation of the plan is due to the 16-point work procedure of the central bank and internal loan policy of the BFIs. According to the Work Procedure, 2072 issued by NRB, the refinancing scheme is available only to those who have completely lost their houses in the quake.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Sanima Bank has provided subsidised loans under the refinancing scheme to five quake victims so far. As per the bank, among the loan recipients, two are from Kathmandu Valley, whereas three are from outside the capital valley. Hemanta Shrestha, Credit Department Head of Sanima Bank Kalanki Branch office said that the bank provides the loan only after the owners starts Damp Proof Course (DPC) process of the houses.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">He further said that earthquake victim identity card, income source, land near 10 feet road and approved earthquake resistant house blueprint, among others, are required to apply for the subsidised loans under the refinancing scheme. The BFIs then after provide such loans to the applicants on the basis of the NRB work procedure taking the land as the collateral.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">NRB has been providing the BFIs with the money at zero percent interest rate to undertake refinancing scheme to aid quake victims.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Though the demand of Nepal&rsquo;s large cardamom is high in the international markets, lack of proper identification has been hindering the country to export the products.</p>

<p>According to Siddhi Charan Dahal, senior officer at the Trade and Export Promotion Center (TEPC), the government has already completed the trademark registration of cardamom last year.</p>

<p>&nbsp;&ldquo;The large Nepali cardamom has been registered as the &lsquo;Everest Big Cardamom&rsquo; and will be known by the same name in the international market,&rdquo; Dahal informed.</p>

<p>As per a source close to the matter, the collective trademark of cardamom will be implemented within a few days with the unified approach of Cardamom Producers Association and other stakeholders.</p>

<p>The TEPC said that the trademark of cardamom will be registered in India, Pakistan and United Arab Emirates in the first phase.</p>

<p>The center said that it has planned to move ahead with the trademark registration process in other countries after observing the demand of Nepali cardamom.</p>

<p>Cardamom is the major export commodity of Nepal.</p>

<p>India has the largest market for Nepali cardamom. In the recent years, the agro product is being exported to third countries via India.</p>

<p>India has been importing Nepali cardamom as a raw material and exporting it to other countries as finished products.</p>

<p>Cardamom entrepreneurs said that they have been facing substantial losses from this.</p>

<p>As per the TEPC data, Nepal exports large cardamom worth Rs four billion annually.</p>

<p>Meanwhile, the process of registering the trademark of carpet has progressed in the Department of Industry (DoI).</p>

<p>&nbsp;According to a source, Central Carpet Industries Association (CCIA) and Nepal Carpet Exporters Association (NCEA) have started the work procedure to register the trademark of carpet.</p>

<p>The registration process is expected to complete within a year.</p>

<p>In the initial phase, the trademark of carpet will be registered in the US, Europe and China in the first phase.</p>

<p>The demand of Nepali carpet is high in those countries. As per the source, the trademark will be registered in other countries later.</p>

<p>Official data shows that Nepal exports carpets worth Rs six billion annually.&nbsp;</p>

<p>With this decision, Gyawali&rsquo;s dismissal has been halted till Friday.</p>

<p>In his clarification, he claimed that the NRA has been working according to the plans and policies made by the office and the quake victims have been receiving first installment of aid money to build their houses.</p>

<p>Gyawali was appointed by the erstwhile KP Sharma Oli-led government on 2015 for five years.</p>

<p>With an objective to fulfill the electricity demand in dry season as well, Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) has signed an agreement with NTPC Vidyut Vyapar Nigam to procure additional 80MW electricity from India. Among the 80MW, import of 40MW has started from January 1, whereas additional 40MW will be imported from February 1.</p>

<p>MoE has also expressed its willingness to purchase power produced from various resources within the country to fulfill the demand of electricity.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">The government had decided to provide Rs 2.5 million to the quake victims of Kathmandu Valley and Rs 1.5 million to the victims residing outside the Valley to rebuild their houses at an annual interest rate of two percent. Narayan Prasad Subedi, Spokesperson of NRB informed that Rs 254.8 million has already been distributed as the refinancing facility to the quake victims.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">According to NRB, BFIs have provided subsidised loans totaling Rs 59 million last year to the quake victims while it has amounted Rs 195.8 million this year.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">According to a report prepared by the National Planning Commission (NPC), 498,852 houses were completely destroyed and similar number of houses were partially damaged in the devastating earthquake that rattled that nation in 2015.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">It is said that the ineffective implementation of the plan is due to the 16-point work procedure of the central bank and internal loan policy of the BFIs. According to the Work Procedure, 2072 issued by NRB, the refinancing scheme is available only to those who have completely lost their houses in the quake.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Sanima Bank has provided subsidised loans under the refinancing scheme to five quake victims so far. As per the bank, among the loan recipients, two are from Kathmandu Valley, whereas three are from outside the capital valley. Hemanta Shrestha, Credit Department Head of Sanima Bank Kalanki Branch office said that the bank provides the loan only after the owners starts Damp Proof Course (DPC) process of the houses.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">He further said that earthquake victim identity card, income source, land near 10 feet road and approved earthquake resistant house blueprint, among others, are required to apply for the subsidised loans under the refinancing scheme. The BFIs then after provide such loans to the applicants on the basis of the NRB work procedure taking the land as the collateral.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">NRB has been providing the BFIs with the money at zero percent interest rate to undertake refinancing scheme to aid quake victims.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Though the demand of Nepal&rsquo;s large cardamom is high in the international markets, lack of proper identification has been hindering the country to export the products.</p>

<p>According to Siddhi Charan Dahal, senior officer at the Trade and Export Promotion Center (TEPC), the government has already completed the trademark registration of cardamom last year.</p>

<p>&nbsp;&ldquo;The large Nepali cardamom has been registered as the &lsquo;Everest Big Cardamom&rsquo; and will be known by the same name in the international market,&rdquo; Dahal informed.</p>

<p>As per a source close to the matter, the collective trademark of cardamom will be implemented within a few days with the unified approach of Cardamom Producers Association and other stakeholders.</p>

<p>The TEPC said that the trademark of cardamom will be registered in India, Pakistan and United Arab Emirates in the first phase.</p>

<p>The center said that it has planned to move ahead with the trademark registration process in other countries after observing the demand of Nepali cardamom.</p>

<p>Cardamom is the major export commodity of Nepal.</p>

<p>India has the largest market for Nepali cardamom. In the recent years, the agro product is being exported to third countries via India.</p>

<p>India has been importing Nepali cardamom as a raw material and exporting it to other countries as finished products.</p>

<p>Cardamom entrepreneurs said that they have been facing substantial losses from this.</p>

<p>As per the TEPC data, Nepal exports large cardamom worth Rs four billion annually.</p>

<p>Meanwhile, the process of registering the trademark of carpet has progressed in the Department of Industry (DoI).</p>

<p>&nbsp;According to a source, Central Carpet Industries Association (CCIA) and Nepal Carpet Exporters Association (NCEA) have started the work procedure to register the trademark of carpet.</p>

<p>The registration process is expected to complete within a year.</p>

<p>In the initial phase, the trademark of carpet will be registered in the US, Europe and China in the first phase.</p>

<p>The demand of Nepali carpet is high in those countries. As per the source, the trademark will be registered in other countries later.</p>

<p>Official data shows that Nepal exports carpets worth Rs six billion annually.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The government had asked explanation from the official for the first time on December 29 expressing dissatisfaction with the work of NRA.</p>

<p>With this decision, Gyawali&rsquo;s dismissal has been halted till Friday.</p>

<p>In his clarification, he claimed that the NRA has been working according to the plans and policies made by the office and the quake victims have been receiving first installment of aid money to build their houses.</p>

<p>Gyawali was appointed by the erstwhile KP Sharma Oli-led government on 2015 for five years.</p>

Among the 80MW, import of 40MW has started from January 1, whereas additional 40MW will be imported from February 1.</p>

<p>MoE has also expressed its willingness to purchase power produced from various resources within the country to fulfill the demand of electricity.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">The government had decided to provide Rs 2.5 million to the quake victims of Kathmandu Valley and Rs 1.5 million to the victims residing outside the Valley to rebuild their houses at an annual interest rate of two percent. Narayan Prasad Subedi, Spokesperson of NRB informed that Rs 254.8 million has already been distributed as the refinancing facility to the quake victims.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">According to NRB, BFIs have provided subsidised loans totaling Rs 59 million last year to the quake victims while it has amounted Rs 195.8 million this year.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">According to a report prepared by the National Planning Commission (NPC), 498,852 houses were completely destroyed and similar number of houses were partially damaged in the devastating earthquake that rattled that nation in 2015.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">It is said that the ineffective implementation of the plan is due to the 16-point work procedure of the central bank and internal loan policy of the BFIs. According to the Work Procedure, 2072 issued by NRB, the refinancing scheme is available only to those who have completely lost their houses in the quake.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Sanima Bank has provided subsidised loans under the refinancing scheme to five quake victims so far. As per the bank, among the loan recipients, two are from Kathmandu Valley, whereas three are from outside the capital valley. Hemanta Shrestha, Credit Department Head of Sanima Bank Kalanki Branch office said that the bank provides the loan only after the owners starts Damp Proof Course (DPC) process of the houses.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">He further said that earthquake victim identity card, income source, land near 10 feet road and approved earthquake resistant house blueprint, among others, are required to apply for the subsidised loans under the refinancing scheme. The BFIs then after provide such loans to the applicants on the basis of the NRB work procedure taking the land as the collateral.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">NRB has been providing the BFIs with the money at zero percent interest rate to undertake refinancing scheme to aid quake victims.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Though the demand of Nepal&rsquo;s large cardamom is high in the international markets, lack of proper identification has been hindering the country to export the products.</p>

<p>According to Siddhi Charan Dahal, senior officer at the Trade and Export Promotion Center (TEPC), the government has already completed the trademark registration of cardamom last year.</p>

<p>&nbsp;&ldquo;The large Nepali cardamom has been registered as the &lsquo;Everest Big Cardamom&rsquo; and will be known by the same name in the international market,&rdquo; Dahal informed.</p>

<p>As per a source close to the matter, the collective trademark of cardamom will be implemented within a few days with the unified approach of Cardamom Producers Association and other stakeholders.</p>

<p>The TEPC said that the trademark of cardamom will be registered in India, Pakistan and United Arab Emirates in the first phase.</p>

<p>The center said that it has planned to move ahead with the trademark registration process in other countries after observing the demand of Nepali cardamom.</p>

<p>Cardamom is the major export commodity of Nepal.</p>

<p>India has the largest market for Nepali cardamom. In the recent years, the agro product is being exported to third countries via India.</p>

<p>India has been importing Nepali cardamom as a raw material and exporting it to other countries as finished products.</p>

<p>Cardamom entrepreneurs said that they have been facing substantial losses from this.</p>

<p>As per the TEPC data, Nepal exports large cardamom worth Rs four billion annually.</p>

<p>Meanwhile, the process of registering the trademark of carpet has progressed in the Department of Industry (DoI).</p>

<p>&nbsp;According to a source, Central Carpet Industries Association (CCIA) and Nepal Carpet Exporters Association (NCEA) have started the work procedure to register the trademark of carpet.</p>

<p>The registration process is expected to complete within a year.</p>

<p>In the initial phase, the trademark of carpet will be registered in the US, Europe and China in the first phase.</p>

<p>The demand of Nepali carpet is high in those countries. As per the source, the trademark will be registered in other countries later.</p>

<p>Official data shows that Nepal exports carpets worth Rs six billion annually.&nbsp;</p>

<p>It is for the second time Gyawali has been asked clarification as per the suggestion of attorney general, citing that the clarification submitted by him earlier was not satisfactory.</p>

<p>The government had asked explanation from the official for the first time on December 29 expressing dissatisfaction with the work of NRA.</p>

<p>With this decision, Gyawali&rsquo;s dismissal has been halted till Friday.</p>

<p>In his clarification, he claimed that the NRA has been working according to the plans and policies made by the office and the quake victims have been receiving first installment of aid money to build their houses.</p>

<p>Gyawali was appointed by the erstwhile KP Sharma Oli-led government on 2015 for five years.</p>
