<p style="text-align: justify;">In the program organized by Energy Development Council, Aatma Ram Ghimire, Managing Director of Liberty Energy Company said that the Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) should move ahead in planned manner. &ldquo;It is essential to connect all HEPs in a corridor with one transmission line,&rdquo; he said adding, &ldquo;It will solve all problems faced by every promoter regarding transmission line.&rdquo; Presently, each promoter needs to built own transmission line to nearby substation of NEA to connect electricity. &ldquo;If NEA grants authority to build the transmission line that connects all HEPs under one corridor, we are ready for it,&rdquo; he announced.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Participant energy promoters also showed their interest in building other transmission line under BOOT Model. On the occasion, Kul Man Ghising, Executive Director of NEA informed of bringing suitable model to develop transmission line soon. &nbsp;</p>

On Thursday, Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB), publishing its concept paper on provision of setting and reviewing interest rate, set time limit on setting loan interest rate.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">NRB through its concept paper has formulated a mechanism under which if BFIs tend to increase interest rate on loans with above a year maturation period, it must inform the debtors prior to 45 days. &nbsp;&nbsp;Similarly, BFIs will have to inform debtors 30 days before increasing interest rate on renewable loans and other short-term loans. NRB has also requested to provide suggestions (if any) on the concept paper within seven days.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">The central bank brought the concept paper to control haphazard increase in loan interest rate by BFIs,&rdquo; said Narayan Prasad Poudel, Executive Director of BFIs Regulation Department and Spokesperson of NRB.&nbsp;</p>

The company today amid a function held at the capital introduced the Isuzu D-Max V-Cross and S-Cab. Dubbed as the &#39;Adventure Utility Vehicle&#39;, the two new four-wheelers were launched under the sole distributorship of Continental Trading Enterprise, a subsidiary of Continental Group. Issuing a press statement, the company said that that the new range of Isuzu pickups are based on the latest generation D-MAX platform and manufactured at state of the art plant at Sri City, Andhra Pradesh in India. &nbsp;&ldquo;The vehicles are built with the same tough, durable, reliable and life-lasting quality that ISUZU is globally known for and are powered by the legendry Isuzu diesel engines renowned for fuel efficiency, reliability and performance,&rdquo; reads the statement.</p>

<p style="text-align:justify">Meanwhile, a new Isuzu showroom at Gairidhra, Kathmandu was also inaugurated on the occasion. <p style="text-align:justify">&nbsp;Hari Kumar Nepal, Deputy Director of Financial Information Unit, Nepal Rastra Bank &nbsp;and chief speaker of the event said that the government is fully committed to control any form of financial crime including money laundering and tax evasion. &ldquo;Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing (AML/TF) is now not issue of Nepal only but it has dragged attention of governments all over the world and other international organizations,&rdquo; he said adding, &ldquo;Government of Nepal is serious on this matter and leaves no stone unturned to eradicate such practices.&rdquo; He also stressed that Money laundering has worsen not only the business sector only but also politics and administration.</p>

<p style="text-align:justify">&#39;Surveys show that more than 3.6 % of global GDP is earned through criminal activities. If we add amount of tax evasion to it, the result is shockingly high,&#39; Nepal added, &ldquo;But one has to be aware of the fact that each and every business started with black money is a crime. And, one cannot get peace of mind with black money.&rdquo;</p>

<p style="text-align:justify">&ldquo;Although we still lack concrete measures of financial crimes in Nepal, there is very few chance that one can escape from this crime,&rdquo; he said, &ldquo;Tax evasion supported by corruption is the biggest challenge of Nepal. It starts right from a general landlord to show low rental charge to evade tax. So, it is very much difficult to bring this all in track.&rdquo;</p>

<p style="text-align:justify">According to Nepal, the government has introduced some of the measures to check money laundering. &ldquo;We will soon have regulations like prohibition of cash transaction higher than 10 lakh rupees and not allowing saving account for business transactions. We hope that this will contribute in controlling money laundering,&rdquo; he added.</p>

<p style="text-align:justify">The event was followed by an interaction session where young entrepreneurs and EO members shared their view on how business sector can work together with government to implement the measures to control financial crimes.</p>

<p style="text-align:justify">The Nepal Chapter of EO has been working as the catalyst to enable leading entrepreneurs to learn and grow, leading to greater success in business and beyond. <p style="text-align: justify;">&ldquo;The policy has been implemented in order to preserve the environment and to develop traditional solid fuel (wood, animal dung and crop waste) into modern, sustainable and clean energy. &nbsp;The government expects that the strategy will help to reduce fuel import and dependency on LP gas. Moreover, the government aims to develop advanced biomass energy by generating energy from the wastage of urban areas which will also effectively manage the wastage.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">The strategy mentions that in order to achieve the government target, use of biodiesel and bio-ethanol will encouraged so that to reduce consumption of diesel and petrol by increasing production of biomass energy through the utilization of bio waste and agricultural leftovers. The technology will make every Nepali household smoke free, said the ministry. <p style="text-align: justify;">Participant energy promoters also showed their interest in building other transmission line under BOOT Model. On the occasion, Kul Man Ghising, Executive Director of NEA informed of bringing suitable model to develop transmission line soon. &nbsp;</p>

On Thursday, Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB), publishing its concept paper on provision of setting and reviewing interest rate, set time limit on setting loan interest rate.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">NRB through its concept paper has formulated a mechanism under which if BFIs tend to increase interest rate on loans with above a year maturation period, it must inform the debtors prior to 45 days. &nbsp;&nbsp;Similarly, BFIs will have to inform debtors 30 days before increasing interest rate on renewable loans and other short-term loans. NRB has also requested to provide suggestions (if any) on the concept paper within seven days.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">The central bank brought the concept paper to control haphazard increase in loan interest rate by BFIs,&rdquo; said Narayan Prasad Poudel, Executive Director of BFIs Regulation Department and Spokesperson of NRB.&nbsp;</p>

Dubbed as the &#39;Adventure Utility Vehicle&#39;, the two new four-wheelers were launched under the sole distributorship of Continental Trading Enterprise, a subsidiary of Continental Group. <p style="text-align:justify">&nbsp;Hari Kumar Nepal, Deputy Director of Financial Information Unit, Nepal Rastra Bank &nbsp;and chief speaker of the event said that the government is fully committed to control any form of financial crime including money laundering and tax evasion. &ldquo;Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing (AML/TF) is now not issue of Nepal only but it has dragged attention of governments all over the world and other international organizations,&rdquo; he said adding, &ldquo;Government of Nepal is serious on this matter and leaves no stone unturned to eradicate such practices.&rdquo; He also stressed that Money laundering has worsen not only the business sector only but also politics and administration.</p>

<p style="text-align:justify">&#39;Surveys show that more than 3.6 % of global GDP is earned through criminal activities. If we add amount of tax evasion to it, the result is shockingly high,&#39; Nepal added, &ldquo;But one has to be aware of the fact that each and every business started with black money is a crime. And, one cannot get peace of mind with black money.&rdquo;</p>

<p style="text-align:justify">&ldquo;Although we still lack concrete measures of financial crimes in Nepal, there is very few chance that one can escape from this crime,&rdquo; he said, &ldquo;Tax evasion supported by corruption is the biggest challenge of Nepal. It starts right from a general landlord to show low rental charge to evade tax. So, it is very much difficult to bring this all in track.&rdquo;</p>

<p style="text-align:justify">According to Nepal, the government has introduced some of the measures to check money laundering. &ldquo;We will soon have regulations like prohibition of cash transaction higher than 10 lakh rupees and not allowing saving account for business transactions. We hope that this will contribute in controlling money laundering,&rdquo; he added.</p>

<p style="text-align:justify">The event was followed by an interaction session where young entrepreneurs and EO members shared their view on how business sector can work together with government to implement the measures to control financial crimes.</p>

On Thursday, Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB), publishing its concept paper on provision of setting and reviewing interest rate, set time limit on setting loan interest rate.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">NRB through its concept paper has formulated a mechanism under which if BFIs tend to increase interest rate on loans with above a year maturation period, it must inform the debtors prior to 45 days. &nbsp;&nbsp;Similarly, BFIs will have to inform debtors 30 days before increasing interest rate on renewable loans and other short-term loans. NRB has also requested to provide suggestions (if any) on the concept paper within seven days.</p>

Dubbed as the &#39;Adventure Utility Vehicle&#39;, the two new four-wheelers were launched under the sole distributorship of Continental Trading Enterprise, a subsidiary of Continental Group. Issuing a press statement, the company said that that the new range of Isuzu pickups are based on the latest generation D-MAX platform and manufactured at state of the art plant at Sri City, Andhra Pradesh in India. &nbsp;&ldquo;The vehicles are built with the same tough, durable, reliable and life-lasting quality that ISUZU is globally known for and are powered by the legendry Isuzu diesel engines renowned for fuel efficiency, reliability and performance,&rdquo; reads the statement.</p>

<p style="text-align:justify">&nbsp;Hari Kumar Nepal, Deputy Director of Financial Information Unit, Nepal Rastra Bank &nbsp;and chief speaker of the event said that the government is fully committed to control any form of financial crime including money laundering and tax evasion. &ldquo;Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing (AML/TF) is now not issue of Nepal only but it has dragged attention of governments all over the world and other international organizations,&rdquo; he said adding, &ldquo;Government of Nepal is serious on this matter and leaves no stone unturned to eradicate such practices.&rdquo; He also stressed that Money laundering has worsen not only the business sector only but also politics and administration.</p>

<p style="text-align:justify">&#39;Surveys show that more than 3.6 % of global GDP is earned through criminal activities. If we add amount of tax evasion to it, the result is shockingly high,&#39; Nepal added, &ldquo;But one has to be aware of the fact that each and every business started with black money is a crime. And, one cannot get peace of mind with black money.&rdquo;</p>

<p style="text-align:justify">&ldquo;Although we still lack concrete measures of financial crimes in Nepal, there is very few chance that one can escape from this crime,&rdquo; he said, &ldquo;Tax evasion supported by corruption is the biggest challenge of Nepal. It starts right from a general landlord to show low rental charge to evade tax. So, it is very much difficult to bring this all in track.&rdquo;</p>

<p style="text-align:justify">According to Nepal, the government has introduced some of the measures to check money laundering. &ldquo;We will soon have regulations like prohibition of cash transaction higher than 10 lakh rupees and not allowing saving account for business transactions. We hope that this will contribute in controlling money laundering,&rdquo; he added.</p>

<p style="text-align:justify">The event was followed by an interaction session where young entrepreneurs and EO members shared their view on how business sector can work together with government to implement the measures to control financial crimes.</p>

On Thursday, Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB), publishing its concept paper on provision of setting and reviewing interest rate, set time limit on setting loan interest rate.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">NRB through its concept paper has formulated a mechanism under which if BFIs tend to increase interest rate on loans with above a year maturation period, it must inform the debtors prior to 45 days. &nbsp;&nbsp;Similarly, BFIs will have to inform debtors 30 days before increasing interest rate on renewable loans and other short-term loans. NRB has also requested to provide suggestions (if any) on the concept paper within seven days.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">The central bank brought the concept paper to control haphazard increase in loan interest rate by BFIs,&rdquo; said Narayan Prasad Poudel, Executive Director of BFIs Regulation Department and Spokesperson of NRB.&nbsp;</p>

Dubbed as the &#39;Adventure Utility Vehicle&#39;, the two new four-wheelers were launched under the sole distributorship of Continental Trading Enterprise, a subsidiary of Continental Group. Issuing a press statement, the company said that that the new range of Isuzu pickups are based on the latest generation D-MAX platform and manufactured at state of the art plant at Sri City, Andhra Pradesh in India. &nbsp;&ldquo;The vehicles are built with the same tough, durable, reliable and life-lasting quality that ISUZU is globally known for and are powered by the legendry Isuzu diesel engines renowned for fuel efficiency, reliability and performance,&rdquo; reads the statement.</p>

<p style="text-align:justify">&nbsp;Hari Kumar Nepal, Deputy Director of Financial Information Unit, Nepal Rastra Bank &nbsp;and chief speaker of the event said that the government is fully committed to control any form of financial crime including money laundering and tax evasion. &ldquo;Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing (AML/TF) is now not issue of Nepal only but it has dragged attention of governments all over the world and other international organizations,&rdquo; he said adding, &ldquo;Government of Nepal is serious on this matter and leaves no stone unturned to eradicate such practices.&rdquo; He also stressed that Money laundering has worsen not only the business sector only but also politics and administration.</p>

<p style="text-align:justify">&#39;Surveys show that more than 3.6 % of global GDP is earned through criminal activities. If we add amount of tax evasion to it, the result is shockingly high,&#39; Nepal added, &ldquo;But one has to be aware of the fact that each and every business started with black money is a crime. And, one cannot get peace of mind with black money.&rdquo;</p>

<p style="text-align:justify">&ldquo;Although we still lack concrete measures of financial crimes in Nepal, there is very few chance that one can escape from this crime,&rdquo; he said, &ldquo;Tax evasion supported by corruption is the biggest challenge of Nepal. It starts right from a general landlord to show low rental charge to evade tax. So, it is very much difficult to bring this all in track.&rdquo;</p>

<p style="text-align:justify">According to Nepal, the government has introduced some of the measures to check money laundering. &ldquo;We will soon have regulations like prohibition of cash transaction higher than 10 lakh rupees and not allowing saving account for business transactions. We hope that this will contribute in controlling money laundering,&rdquo; he added.</p>

<p style="text-align:justify">The event was followed by an interaction session where young entrepreneurs and EO members shared their view on how business sector can work together with government to implement the measures to control financial crimes.</p>

Similarly, the fair also includes various stalls of readymade dresses, leather products, new technology and equipments, food items, furniture, fashion wear, home decor and service sectors.</p>
