<p style="text-align: justify;">Swargadwari Samiti which has always been upgrading their services timely in line with the demand of the passengers is now providing the deluxe bus service for the first time in the district.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Five deluxe buses with an investment of Rs. 27.5 million have been brought into operation, informed Chandra Man Shrestha, General Secretary of the agency.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Further, he informed that each bus cost Rs. 5.5 million. Sunil Basnet, manager of the agency informed that the buses were introduced in view of the demand of the internal tourists in the district and those who come to visit Swargadwari temple, a popular pilgrimage site in the district. The Samiti had introduced the Hiace micro bus service last year.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Service fare has also increased by 25 percent with the introduction of the deluxe buses. It&rsquo;s the first time that the Samiti introduced the deluxe bus service in the district in its 14 years of operation.&nbsp;</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">According to the Macro Economic Report unveiled by the Nepal Rastra bank (NRB) on June 8, the import which was decreased by 4.6 percent in the first 10 months of the previous FY has now increased by 34.9 in the same period.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">However, the import in that period has been recorded amounting to Rs 61.2 billion. With this, the total trade deficit has reached Rs 747.65 billion.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">The import of petroleum products, vehicles and its spare parts has increased the overall trade deficit. Though there is unexpected increase of import, the inflation is in control which until mid- May has increased by 3.4 percent only, as compared to the previous FY.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">In the time period, the import from India increased by 43.7 percent, by 12.5 percent from China, and 26.9 percent from other countries.&nbsp; Economists are expressing their concern on the alarming growth of import and slow rate of export as compared to export.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Dr Shankar Prasad Nepal, Professor at Tribhuvan University stated that the trade deficit will increase more due to expediting import and slowing down export. He said, &ldquo;It will further destabilize the economy.&rdquo;</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">According to the report, the import of petroleum products, vehicles, spare parts of aircrafts and machinery, MS billets, among others, has increased in the time period. However, the import of chemical fertilizers, medicines, cold roll, sit-in coil, dry cell battery, and betel nuts has come down.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Likewise, during the review period of the current FY, the export has increased by 9.8 percent reaching to Rs 61.02 billion whereas it had decreased by 21.7 percent in the same time period of the previous FY. The report shows that export has increased by 15 percent to India, 5.6 percent to China and 3.1 percent to other countries.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

			'content' => '<p style="text-align: justify;">June 9: An initiation taken by Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON) of establishing new stock exchange has been tagged as inappropriate decision taken hastily by Dr Chiranjibi Nepal, Governor of Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) and Rajan Khanal, Revenue Secretary of Finance Ministry. &nbsp;If a new stock exchange is being established to improve the state-owned Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE), then it should be privatized as well, they stressed. However, in a program organized in the valley to mark 25<sup>th</sup> anniversary of SEBON, Dr Rewat Bahadur Karki, Chairman of SEBON revoking their argument requested all stakeholders to take the step positively as the capital market is gradually expanding.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">SEBON has been organizing blood donation program and awareness marches since three days on the occasion of its silver jubilee. In a special program organized to mark the day, speakers engaged in debate regarding the new stock exchange. In the program, chief guest of the program, newly appointed Finance Minister Gyanendra Bahadur Karki said that the capital market is the core of economic development. He stressed on participation from private sector for the development of the capital market in Nepal. Moreover, he praising the achievements made in capital market sector assured of providing government support in coming days.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Meanwhile, Governor Dr Nepal said that NRB will soon sell its shares in NEPSE worth millions to private sector. He argued that while in other countries stock exchanges are merging, Nepal should not add another stock exchange. However, he opined to privatize NEPSE so that to make the market competitive.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Revenue Secretary, Rajan Khanal supporting Dr Nepal&rsquo;s opinion said that being a regulatory body of securities market, SEBON should act smart accordingly. He requested SEBON to stress on information technology and physical infrastructure for the sustainable development of capital market. According to him, the government is also ready to sell its stake in NEPSE.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">SEBON has expedited the process of launching new stock exchange from private sector after it took decision of so two weeks ago. For that, in the first phase, it has requested four companies to collaborate. SEBON Chairman Dr Karki informed of forwarding the process of the new establishment in the program. He clarified that the board which has been regulating nearly 415 capital market institutions took the decision to make the market more effective.</p>

<p style="text-align:justify">Issuing a press statement, the GSM mobile service provider of the country said that with technology neutrality, it can enable more than 17 million Nepali in Nepal to enjoy fast mobile internet service. &nbsp;&ldquo;Internet is a basic necessity in life, just like electricity and water. Ncell is truly delighted that the company has been given the opportunity to serve the people and deliver what they long-deserved,&rdquo; said the company.</p>

<p style="text-align:justify">According to Ncell, the extended coverage areas will include more than 1,000 rural and remote villages including Deuralikot of Bajhang, Shreenagar of Mugu, Jhong in Mustang, Malta of Lalitpur and Tingla of Solukhumbu. These villages will have access to fast mobile internet for the first time in their life, which will contribute to bridge the prevailing digital divide, bringing immense positive changes in the lives of the people, economy of those communities and social arena.</p>

<p style="text-align:justify">&ldquo;We are excited about all great impact that technology neutrality is set to bring to the people and the country, especially in term of access to internet, creation of new opportunities and GDP growth. According to a World Bank report, access to mobile broadband can give an immediate impetus to economic growth. Every 10 percentage point rise in broadband penetration raises economic growth by 1.38 percentage point,&rdquo; said Simon Perkins, managing director of Ncell. &ldquo;We have committed to resources, knowledge transfer and investment with up to Rs 30 billion in infrastructure and services accordingly to achieve this goal. Two companies including Mercantile Communication and WorldLink have submitted proposals on the tender bidding sought by Nepal Telecommunication Authority in a bid to expand broadband internet in eight various districts of Karnali.</p>

<p style="text-align:justify">NEA called out the tender bidding on April 20 to prepare broadband network and provide access connectivity of internet in Karnali region. NEA had given deadline till June 4 for the companies to submit the proposals.</p>

<p style="text-align:justify">For that matter, the telecommunication authority has divided Karnali, the eight districts region in two packages. It had called out the bidding proposals not exceeding Rs 370 million for the first package and Rs 460 million for the second package. As per NEA, it has included Humla, Jumla, Mugu and Dolpa in the first package and Kalikot, Rukum, Jajarkot and Rolpa in the second package.</p>

<p style="text-align:justify">WorldLink, in its proposal, has bidden Rs 270 million for the first package and Rs 370 million for the second package. The internet service provider has also submitted a separate correspondence clarifying that it can provide 25 percent and 30 percent concession on the first and second package respectively. &nbsp;According to the concession proposal submitted to NEA, WorldLink is ready to develop the broadband network with Rs 202.5 million and Rs 238 million respectively for the packages.</p>

<p style="text-align:justify">Similarly, Mercantile Communication has proposed Rs 220 million for the first package and Rs 280 million for the second package. Meanwhile, NEA is set to select the internet service provider that has strong is technically knowhow and seeks minimum funding.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">According to the Macro Economic Report unveiled by the Nepal Rastra bank (NRB) on June 8, the import which was decreased by 4.6 percent in the first 10 months of the previous FY has now increased by 34.9 in the same period.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">However, the import in that period has been recorded amounting to Rs 61.2 billion. With this, the total trade deficit has reached Rs 747.65 billion.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">The import of petroleum products, vehicles and its spare parts has increased the overall trade deficit. Though there is unexpected increase of import, the inflation is in control which until mid- May has increased by 3.4 percent only, as compared to the previous FY.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">In the time period, the import from India increased by 43.7 percent, by 12.5 percent from China, and 26.9 percent from other countries.&nbsp; Economists are expressing their concern on the alarming growth of import and slow rate of export as compared to export.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Dr Shankar Prasad Nepal, Professor at Tribhuvan University stated that the trade deficit will increase more due to expediting import and slowing down export. He said, &ldquo;It will further destabilize the economy.&rdquo;</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">According to the report, the import of petroleum products, vehicles, spare parts of aircrafts and machinery, MS billets, among others, has increased in the time period. However, the import of chemical fertilizers, medicines, cold roll, sit-in coil, dry cell battery, and betel nuts has come down.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Likewise, during the review period of the current FY, the export has increased by 9.8 percent reaching to Rs 61.02 billion whereas it had decreased by 21.7 percent in the same time period of the previous FY. The report shows that export has increased by 15 percent to India, 5.6 percent to China and 3.1 percent to other countries.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Meanwhile, Governor Dr Nepal said that NRB will soon sell its shares in NEPSE worth millions to private sector. He argued that while in other countries stock exchanges are merging, Nepal should not add another stock exchange. However, he opined to privatize NEPSE so that to make the market competitive.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Revenue Secretary, Rajan Khanal supporting Dr Nepal&rsquo;s opinion said that being a regulatory body of securities market, SEBON should act smart accordingly. He requested SEBON to stress on information technology and physical infrastructure for the sustainable development of capital market. According to him, the government is also ready to sell its stake in NEPSE.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">SEBON has expedited the process of launching new stock exchange from private sector after it took decision of so two weeks ago. For that, in the first phase, it has requested four companies to collaborate. SEBON Chairman Dr Karki informed of forwarding the process of the new establishment in the program. He clarified that the board which has been regulating nearly 415 capital market institutions took the decision to make the market more effective.</p>

<p style="text-align:justify">Issuing a press statement, the GSM mobile service provider of the country said that with technology neutrality, it can enable more than 17 million Nepali in Nepal to enjoy fast mobile internet service. &nbsp;&ldquo;Internet is a basic necessity in life, just like electricity and water. Ncell is truly delighted that the company has been given the opportunity to serve the people and deliver what they long-deserved,&rdquo; said the company.</p>

<p style="text-align:justify">According to Ncell, the extended coverage areas will include more than 1,000 rural and remote villages including Deuralikot of Bajhang, Shreenagar of Mugu, Jhong in Mustang, Malta of Lalitpur and Tingla of Solukhumbu. Two companies including Mercantile Communication and WorldLink have submitted proposals on the tender bidding sought by Nepal Telecommunication Authority in a bid to expand broadband internet in eight various districts of Karnali.</p>

<p style="text-align:justify">NEA called out the tender bidding on April 20 to prepare broadband network and provide access connectivity of internet in Karnali region. NEA had given deadline till June 4 for the companies to submit the proposals.</p>

<p style="text-align:justify">For that matter, the telecommunication authority has divided Karnali, the eight districts region in two packages. It had called out the bidding proposals not exceeding Rs 370 million for the first package and Rs 460 million for the second package. As per NEA, it has included Humla, Jumla, Mugu and Dolpa in the first package and Kalikot, Rukum, Jajarkot and Rolpa in the second package.</p>

<p style="text-align:justify">WorldLink, in its proposal, has bidden Rs 270 million for the first package and Rs 370 million for the second package. The internet service provider has also submitted a separate correspondence clarifying that it can provide 25 percent and 30 percent concession on the first and second package respectively. &nbsp;According to the concession proposal submitted to NEA, WorldLink is ready to develop the broadband network with Rs 202.5 million and Rs 238 million respectively for the packages.</p>

<p style="text-align:justify">Similarly, Mercantile Communication has proposed Rs 220 million for the first package and Rs 280 million for the second package. Meanwhile, NEA is set to select the internet service provider that has strong is technically knowhow and seeks minimum funding.</p>

Sunil Basnet, manager of the agency informed that the buses were introduced in view of the demand of the internal tourists in the district and those who come to visit Swargadwari temple, a popular pilgrimage site in the district. The Samiti had introduced the Hiace micro bus service last year.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">According to the Macro Economic Report unveiled by the Nepal Rastra bank (NRB) on June 8, the import which was decreased by 4.6 percent in the first 10 months of the previous FY has now increased by 34.9 in the same period.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">However, the import in that period has been recorded amounting to Rs 61.2 billion. With this, the total trade deficit has reached Rs 747.65 billion.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">The import of petroleum products, vehicles and its spare parts has increased the overall trade deficit. Though there is unexpected increase of import, the inflation is in control which until mid- May has increased by 3.4 percent only, as compared to the previous FY.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">In the time period, the import from India increased by 43.7 percent, by 12.5 percent from China, and 26.9 percent from other countries.&nbsp; Economists are expressing their concern on the alarming growth of import and slow rate of export as compared to export.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Dr Shankar Prasad Nepal, Professor at Tribhuvan University stated that the trade deficit will increase more due to expediting import and slowing down export. He said, &ldquo;It will further destabilize the economy.&rdquo;</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">According to the report, the import of petroleum products, vehicles, spare parts of aircrafts and machinery, MS billets, among others, has increased in the time period. However, the import of chemical fertilizers, medicines, cold roll, sit-in coil, dry cell battery, and betel nuts has come down.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Likewise, during the review period of the current FY, the export has increased by 9.8 percent reaching to Rs 61.02 billion whereas it had decreased by 21.7 percent in the same time period of the previous FY. The report shows that export has increased by 15 percent to India, 5.6 percent to China and 3.1 percent to other countries.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

However, in a program organized in the valley to mark 25<sup>th</sup> anniversary of SEBON, Dr Rewat Bahadur Karki, Chairman of SEBON revoking their argument requested all stakeholders to take the step positively as the capital market is gradually expanding.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">SEBON has been organizing blood donation program and awareness marches since three days on the occasion of its silver jubilee. In a special program organized to mark the day, speakers engaged in debate regarding the new stock exchange. In the program, chief guest of the program, newly appointed Finance Minister Gyanendra Bahadur Karki said that the capital market is the core of economic development. He stressed on participation from private sector for the development of the capital market in Nepal. Moreover, he praising the achievements made in capital market sector assured of providing government support in coming days.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Meanwhile, Governor Dr Nepal said that NRB will soon sell its shares in NEPSE worth millions to private sector. He argued that while in other countries stock exchanges are merging, Nepal should not add another stock exchange. However, he opined to privatize NEPSE so that to make the market competitive.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Revenue Secretary, Rajan Khanal supporting Dr Nepal&rsquo;s opinion said that being a regulatory body of securities market, SEBON should act smart accordingly. He requested SEBON to stress on information technology and physical infrastructure for the sustainable development of capital market. According to him, the government is also ready to sell its stake in NEPSE.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">SEBON has expedited the process of launching new stock exchange from private sector after it took decision of so two weeks ago. For that, in the first phase, it has requested four companies to collaborate. SEBON Chairman Dr Karki informed of forwarding the process of the new establishment in the program. He clarified that the board which has been regulating nearly 415 capital market institutions took the decision to make the market more effective.</p>

<p style="text-align:justify">NEA called out the tender bidding on April 20 to prepare broadband network and provide access connectivity of internet in Karnali region. NEA had given deadline till June 4 for the companies to submit the proposals.</p>

<p style="text-align:justify">For that matter, the telecommunication authority has divided Karnali, the eight districts region in two packages. It had called out the bidding proposals not exceeding Rs 370 million for the first package and Rs 460 million for the second package. As per NEA, it has included Humla, Jumla, Mugu and Dolpa in the first package and Kalikot, Rukum, Jajarkot and Rolpa in the second package.</p>

<p style="text-align:justify">WorldLink, in its proposal, has bidden Rs 270 million for the first package and Rs 370 million for the second package. The internet service provider has also submitted a separate correspondence clarifying that it can provide 25 percent and 30 percent concession on the first and second package respectively. &nbsp;According to the concession proposal submitted to NEA, WorldLink is ready to develop the broadband network with Rs 202.5 million and Rs 238 million respectively for the packages.</p>

<p style="text-align:justify">Similarly, Mercantile Communication has proposed Rs 220 million for the first package and Rs 280 million for the second package. Meanwhile, NEA is set to select the internet service provider that has strong is technically knowhow and seeks minimum funding.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">According to the Macro Economic Report unveiled by the Nepal Rastra bank (NRB) on June 8, the import which was decreased by 4.6 percent in the first 10 months of the previous FY has now increased by 34.9 in the same period.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">However, the import in that period has been recorded amounting to Rs 61.2 billion. With this, the total trade deficit has reached Rs 747.65 billion.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">The import of petroleum products, vehicles and its spare parts has increased the overall trade deficit. Though there is unexpected increase of import, the inflation is in control which until mid- May has increased by 3.4 percent only, as compared to the previous FY.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">In the time period, the import from India increased by 43.7 percent, by 12.5 percent from China, and 26.9 percent from other countries.&nbsp; Economists are expressing their concern on the alarming growth of import and slow rate of export as compared to export.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Dr Shankar Prasad Nepal, Professor at Tribhuvan University stated that the trade deficit will increase more due to expediting import and slowing down export. He said, &ldquo;It will further destabilize the economy.&rdquo;</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">According to the report, the import of petroleum products, vehicles, spare parts of aircrafts and machinery, MS billets, among others, has increased in the time period. <p style="text-align: justify;">Meanwhile, Governor Dr Nepal said that NRB will soon sell its shares in NEPSE worth millions to private sector. He argued that while in other countries stock exchanges are merging, Nepal should not add another stock exchange. However, he opined to privatize NEPSE so that to make the market competitive.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Revenue Secretary, Rajan Khanal supporting Dr Nepal&rsquo;s opinion said that being a regulatory body of securities market, SEBON should act smart accordingly. He requested SEBON to stress on information technology and physical infrastructure for the sustainable development of capital market. According to him, the government is also ready to sell its stake in NEPSE.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">SEBON has expedited the process of launching new stock exchange from private sector after it took decision of so two weeks ago. For that, in the first phase, it has requested four companies to collaborate. SEBON Chairman Dr Karki informed of forwarding the process of the new establishment in the program. He clarified that the board which has been regulating nearly 415 capital market institutions took the decision to make the market more effective.</p>

<p style="text-align:justify">NEA called out the tender bidding on April 20 to prepare broadband network and provide access connectivity of internet in Karnali region. NEA had given deadline till June 4 for the companies to submit the proposals.</p>

<p style="text-align:justify">For that matter, the telecommunication authority has divided Karnali, the eight districts region in two packages. It had called out the bidding proposals not exceeding Rs 370 million for the first package and Rs 460 million for the second package. As per NEA, it has included Humla, Jumla, Mugu and Dolpa in the first package and Kalikot, Rukum, Jajarkot and Rolpa in the second package.</p>

<p style="text-align:justify">WorldLink, in its proposal, has bidden Rs 270 million for the first package and Rs 370 million for the second package. The internet service provider has also submitted a separate correspondence clarifying that it can provide 25 percent and 30 percent concession on the first and second package respectively. &nbsp;According to the concession proposal submitted to NEA, WorldLink is ready to develop the broadband network with Rs 202.5 million and Rs 238 million respectively for the packages.</p>

<p style="text-align:justify">Similarly, Mercantile Communication has proposed Rs 220 million for the first package and Rs 280 million for the second package. Meanwhile, NEA is set to select the internet service provider that has strong is technically knowhow and seeks minimum funding.</p>
