Dolpa and Humla are the two districts which are not connected by roads to the rest of the country. The Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport informed that the works are underway to connect Dolpa&rsquo;s district headquarters Dunai with road in the current fiscal year.</p>

<p>However, the process of road construction to Humla&rsquo;s Simikot will start only next year, informed the ministry.</p>

<p>Although the road network of Nepal spreads 70,000 km across the country, the district headquarters of Dolpa and Dunai are yet to be linked with the national road network.</p>

<p>According to joint-secretary at the ministry, Rajendra Raj Sharma, the Department of Roads and the Nepalese Army have expedited the construction works to link Dunai with road within this fiscal year.</p>

<p>Sharma informed that Rs 300 million has been allocated for the construction of Jajarkot-Dolpa-Dunai highway. Likewise, Rs 150 million has been allocated for construction of road in Humla.</p>

<p>The Nepalese Army has got the responsibility of opening a track for Jajarkot-Dunai road under the Karnali Corridor Project. Meanwhile, the DoR has been looking after the construction of Simikot &ndash;Hilsa road.</p>

<p>Out of the 117.7 km road between Jajarkot and Dunai, the army has already opened track for 113 km road, informed Lt Col Bishwabandhu Pahadi, who has been tasked with the responsibility of constructing Jajarkot-Dolpa road.</p>

<p>&ldquo;We had constructed road up to Dolpa&rsquo;s border during last year but we are yet to construct road up to the district headquarters. We are still working on it,&rdquo; said Lt Col Pahadi.&nbsp;</p>

This translates to a turnover growth of 13% which is driven primarily through volume growth, the company said in a statement.</p>

<p>The growth was achieved despite of the challenges of factory lock-out for two-and-a-half months, non-arrival of summer adversely impacting sales of soaps and various other market disruptions in the last few months, the company said. However, the growth has been broad based across all categories and mainly led by skin care and hair care giving a positive mix.</p>

<p>&ldquo;On a continued basis, this year the company has delivered an intrinsic net profit margin of 24% against a 3-year average of 20% and an intrinsic EBITDA margin of 30% against a 3-year average of 26%. This is a significant improvement and the company is confident of sustaining this profitability,&rdquo; reads the statement highlighting the company&rsquo;s year-end report approved by the Board of Directors in mid-July.</p>

<p>The company said it has focused heavily on distributor infrastructure by leveraging on world class technology. All these actions are supposed to drive sustainable growth, the statement further said.</p>

<p>The Board of Directors have recommended a dividend of Rs 1100 per share on Equity Shares of Rs 100/- each. This year, the company is also celebrating its 25th year in Nepal. On this special occasion, the board has also recommended an additional special dividend of Rs 170 per share to commemorate the occasion.</p>

The budget deficit in fiscal year 2015/16 was Rs 49.83 billion. However, the budget deficit rose to Rs 75.78 billion. The total budget deficit has reached Rs 125.61 billion, according to the latest financial report unveiled by Nepal Rastra Bank.</p>

<p>Economists say that the rise in budget deficit could be counter-productive for the government. Economist Prof Dr Madan Dahal says that least developed countries have no options other than to face budget deficit. He opined that a budget deficit of more than 1 percent of the gross domestic product (GDP) would have negative impact in the overall economy.</p>

<p>Statistics show that Nepal&rsquo;s budget deficit was 4.8 percent of the GDP in last FY.</p>

<p>&ldquo;Statistics have shown that inflation is under control. But that is not the reality. It&rsquo;s all because the supply has increased,&rdquo; said Dahal.</p>

<p>The government had spent only Rs 793 billion out of the total budget of Rs 1048 in the last fiscal year.</p>

<p>The government had raised internal loan of Rs 88.34 billion in fiscal year 2016/17 to meet the budget deficit.</p>

Everest Link has started providing internet service at the base camp after setting up the facility with an investment of Rs 20 million. According to Chiring Sherpa, CEO of Everest Link, they were studying the possibility of internet service at the base camp since 2002 but the company started working on it from 2014. The internet service will benefit tourists, hotel entrepreneurs and porters.</p>

<p>The company has been providing internet service in the region through microwave from different places in the Terai. &ldquo;The internet service will be available in Lukla, Chaurikharka, Khumjung, Khunde, Pangboche, Tengboche, Dingboche,&rdquo; informed Sherpa. He said that the internet service has been linked from two/three places so that there won&rsquo;t be any problems in connectivity. The internet service will be faster than in Kathmandu, Sherpa claimed.</p>

<p>The company informed that it started the service for the development of the region and not for profit generation. Out of the 250 hotels in the Everest region, the company has included more than 200 hotels as stakeholders in the company. The stakeholders are entitled to receive 40 percent of the profit from generated from the internet service. The company has provided direct employment to 41 people.</p>

<p>Everest Link charges USD 200 for 100mb data and USD 500 for 200mb data. Meanwhile, the company provides a discount of Rs 100 for Nepali tourists on purchase of any data pack.</p>

<p>According to Chehang Lama, chief technical officer (CTO) of Everest Link, the high rate of transportation charge has increased the cost of internet service in the region.</p>

<p>&ldquo;It is a Herculean task to make such service available at a remote place like Everest,&rdquo; said Sherpa.</p>

<p>The company informed that it has been providing internet service after taking ISP license from Nepal Telecommunication. The company said that the internet service will also help in the promotion of tourism.</p>

<p>Sherpa also informed that they would start providing emergency health service in coordination with two hospitals of Kathmandu and a local hospital with the use of internet service.</p>

Dolpa and Humla are the two districts which are not connected by roads to the rest of the country. The Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport informed that the works are underway to connect Dolpa&rsquo;s district headquarters Dunai with road in the current fiscal year.</p>

<p>However, the process of road construction to Humla&rsquo;s Simikot will start only next year, informed the ministry.</p>

<p>Although the road network of Nepal spreads 70,000 km across the country, the district headquarters of Dolpa and Dunai are yet to be linked with the national road network.</p>

<p>According to joint-secretary at the ministry, Rajendra Raj Sharma, the Department of Roads and the Nepalese Army have expedited the construction works to link Dunai with road within this fiscal year.</p>

<p>Sharma informed that Rs 300 million has been allocated for the construction of Jajarkot-Dolpa-Dunai highway. Likewise, Rs 150 million has been allocated for construction of road in Humla.</p>

<p>The Nepalese Army has got the responsibility of opening a track for Jajarkot-Dunai road under the Karnali Corridor Project. Meanwhile, the DoR has been looking after the construction of Simikot &ndash;Hilsa road.</p>

<p>Out of the 117.7 km road between Jajarkot and Dunai, the army has already opened track for 113 km road, informed Lt Col Bishwabandhu Pahadi, who has been tasked with the responsibility of constructing Jajarkot-Dolpa road.</p>

<p>&ldquo;We had constructed road up to Dolpa&rsquo;s border during last year but we are yet to construct road up to the district headquarters. We are still working on it,&rdquo; said Lt Col Pahadi.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The growth was achieved despite of the challenges of factory lock-out for two-and-a-half months, non-arrival of summer adversely impacting sales of soaps and various other market disruptions in the last few months, the company said. However, the growth has been broad based across all categories and mainly led by skin care and hair care giving a positive mix.</p>

<p>&ldquo;On a continued basis, this year the company has delivered an intrinsic net profit margin of 24% against a 3-year average of 20% and an intrinsic EBITDA margin of 30% against a 3-year average of 26%. This is a significant improvement and the company is confident of sustaining this profitability,&rdquo; reads the statement highlighting the company&rsquo;s year-end report approved by the Board of Directors in mid-July.</p>

<p>The company said it has focused heavily on distributor infrastructure by leveraging on world class technology. All these actions are supposed to drive sustainable growth, the statement further said.</p>

<p>The Board of Directors have recommended a dividend of Rs 1100 per share on Equity Shares of Rs 100/- each. This year, the company is also celebrating its 25th year in Nepal. On this special occasion, the board has also recommended an additional special dividend of Rs 170 per share to commemorate the occasion.</p>

The budget deficit in fiscal year 2015/16 was Rs 49.83 billion. However, the budget deficit rose to Rs 75.78 billion. The total budget deficit has reached Rs 125.61 billion, according to the latest financial report unveiled by Nepal Rastra Bank.</p>

<p>Economists say that the rise in budget deficit could be counter-productive for the government. Economist Prof Dr Madan Dahal says that least developed countries have no options other than to face budget deficit. He opined that a budget deficit of more than 1 percent of the gross domestic product (GDP) would have negative impact in the overall economy.</p>

<p>Statistics show that Nepal&rsquo;s budget deficit was 4.8 percent of the GDP in last FY.</p>

<p>&ldquo;Statistics have shown that inflation is under control. But that is not the reality. It&rsquo;s all because the supply has increased,&rdquo; said Dahal.</p>

<p>The government had spent only Rs 793 billion out of the total budget of Rs 1048 in the last fiscal year.</p>

<p>The government had raised internal loan of Rs 88.34 billion in fiscal year 2016/17 to meet the budget deficit.</p>

Everest Link has started providing internet service at the base camp after setting up the facility with an investment of Rs 20 million. According to Chiring Sherpa, CEO of Everest Link, they were studying the possibility of internet service at the base camp since 2002 but the company started working on it from 2014. The internet service will benefit tourists, hotel entrepreneurs and porters.</p>

<p>The company has been providing internet service in the region through microwave from different places in the Terai. &ldquo;The internet service will be available in Lukla, Chaurikharka, Khumjung, Khunde, Pangboche, Tengboche, Dingboche,&rdquo; informed Sherpa. He said that the internet service has been linked from two/three places so that there won&rsquo;t be any problems in connectivity. The internet service will be faster than in Kathmandu, Sherpa claimed.</p>

<p>The company informed that it started the service for the development of the region and not for profit generation. Out of the 250 hotels in the Everest region, the company has included more than 200 hotels as stakeholders in the company. The stakeholders are entitled to receive 40 percent of the profit from generated from the internet service. The company has provided direct employment to 41 people.</p>

<p>Everest Link charges USD 200 for 100mb data and USD 500 for 200mb data. Meanwhile, the company provides a discount of Rs 100 for Nepali tourists on purchase of any data pack.</p>

<p>According to Chehang Lama, chief technical officer (CTO) of Everest Link, the high rate of transportation charge has increased the cost of internet service in the region.</p>

<p>&ldquo;It is a Herculean task to make such service available at a remote place like Everest,&rdquo; said Sherpa.</p>

<p>The company informed that it has been providing internet service after taking ISP license from Nepal Telecommunication. The company said that the internet service will also help in the promotion of tourism.</p>

<p>Sherpa also informed that they would start providing emergency health service in coordination with two hospitals of Kathmandu and a local hospital with the use of internet service.</p>

Dolpa and Humla are the two districts which are not connected by roads to the rest of the country. The Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport informed that the works are underway to connect Dolpa&rsquo;s district headquarters Dunai with road in the current fiscal year.</p>

<p>However, the process of road construction to Humla&rsquo;s Simikot will start only next year, informed the ministry.</p>

<p>Although the road network of Nepal spreads 70,000 km across the country, the district headquarters of Dolpa and Dunai are yet to be linked with the national road network.</p>

<p>According to joint-secretary at the ministry, Rajendra Raj Sharma, the Department of Roads and the Nepalese Army have expedited the construction works to link Dunai with road within this fiscal year.</p>

<p>Sharma informed that Rs 300 million has been allocated for the construction of Jajarkot-Dolpa-Dunai highway. Likewise, Rs 150 million has been allocated for construction of road in Humla.</p>

<p>The Nepalese Army has got the responsibility of opening a track for Jajarkot-Dunai road under the Karnali Corridor Project. Meanwhile, the DoR has been looking after the construction of Simikot &ndash;Hilsa road.</p>

<p>Out of the 117.7 km road between Jajarkot and Dunai, the army has already opened track for 113 km road, informed Lt Col Bishwabandhu Pahadi, who has been tasked with the responsibility of constructing Jajarkot-Dolpa road.</p>

<p>&ldquo;We had constructed road up to Dolpa&rsquo;s border during last year but we are yet to construct road up to the district headquarters. We are still working on it,&rdquo; said Lt Col Pahadi.&nbsp;</p>

<p>&ldquo;On a continued basis, this year the company has delivered an intrinsic net profit margin of 24% against a 3-year average of 20% and an intrinsic EBITDA margin of 30% against a 3-year average of 26%. This is a significant improvement and the company is confident of sustaining this profitability,&rdquo; reads the statement highlighting the company&rsquo;s year-end report approved by the Board of Directors in mid-July.</p>

<p>The company said it has focused heavily on distributor infrastructure by leveraging on world class technology. All these actions are supposed to drive sustainable growth, the statement further said.</p>

<p>The Board of Directors have recommended a dividend of Rs 1100 per share on Equity Shares of Rs 100/- each. This year, the company is also celebrating its 25th year in Nepal. On this special occasion, the board has also recommended an additional special dividend of Rs 170 per share to commemorate the occasion.</p>

The total budget deficit has reached Rs 125.61 billion, according to the latest financial report unveiled by Nepal Rastra Bank.</p>

<p>Economists say that the rise in budget deficit could be counter-productive for the government. Economist Prof Dr Madan Dahal says that least developed countries have no options other than to face budget deficit. He opined that a budget deficit of more than 1 percent of the gross domestic product (GDP) would have negative impact in the overall economy.</p>

<p>Statistics show that Nepal&rsquo;s budget deficit was 4.8 percent of the GDP in last FY.</p>

<p>&ldquo;Statistics have shown that inflation is under control. But that is not the reality. It&rsquo;s all because the supply has increased,&rdquo; said Dahal.</p>

<p>The government had spent only Rs 793 billion out of the total budget of Rs 1048 in the last fiscal year.</p>

<p>The government had raised internal loan of Rs 88.34 billion in fiscal year 2016/17 to meet the budget deficit.</p>

He said that the internet service has been linked from two/three places so that there won&rsquo;t be any problems in connectivity. The internet service will be faster than in Kathmandu, Sherpa claimed.</p>

<p>The company informed that it started the service for the development of the region and not for profit generation. Out of the 250 hotels in the Everest region, the company has included more than 200 hotels as stakeholders in the company. The stakeholders are entitled to receive 40 percent of the profit from generated from the internet service. The company has provided direct employment to 41 people.</p>

<p>Everest Link charges USD 200 for 100mb data and USD 500 for 200mb data. Meanwhile, the company provides a discount of Rs 100 for Nepali tourists on purchase of any data pack.</p>

<p>According to Chehang Lama, chief technical officer (CTO) of Everest Link, the high rate of transportation charge has increased the cost of internet service in the region.</p>

<p>&ldquo;It is a Herculean task to make such service available at a remote place like Everest,&rdquo; said Sherpa.</p>

<p>The company informed that it has been providing internet service after taking ISP license from Nepal Telecommunication. The company said that the internet service will also help in the promotion of tourism.</p>

<p>Sherpa also informed that they would start providing emergency health service in coordination with two hospitals of Kathmandu and a local hospital with the use of internet service.</p>

The Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport informed that the works are underway to connect Dolpa&rsquo;s district headquarters Dunai with road in the current fiscal year.</p>

<p>However, the process of road construction to Humla&rsquo;s Simikot will start only next year, informed the ministry.</p>

<p>Although the road network of Nepal spreads 70,000 km across the country, the district headquarters of Dolpa and Dunai are yet to be linked with the national road network.</p>

<p>According to joint-secretary at the ministry, Rajendra Raj Sharma, the Department of Roads and the Nepalese Army have expedited the construction works to link Dunai with road within this fiscal year.</p>

<p>Sharma informed that Rs 300 million has been allocated for the construction of Jajarkot-Dolpa-Dunai highway. Likewise, Rs 150 million has been allocated for construction of road in Humla.</p>

<p>The Nepalese Army has got the responsibility of opening a track for Jajarkot-Dunai road under the Karnali Corridor Project. Meanwhile, the DoR has been looking after the construction of Simikot &ndash;Hilsa road.</p>

<p>Out of the 117.7 km road between Jajarkot and Dunai, the army has already opened track for 113 km road, informed Lt Col Bishwabandhu Pahadi, who has been tasked with the responsibility of constructing Jajarkot-Dolpa road.</p>

<p>&ldquo;We had constructed road up to Dolpa&rsquo;s border during last year but we are yet to construct road up to the district headquarters. We are still working on it,&rdquo; said Lt Col Pahadi.&nbsp;</p>

<p>&ldquo;On a continued basis, this year the company has delivered an intrinsic net profit margin of 24% against a 3-year average of 20% and an intrinsic EBITDA margin of 30% against a 3-year average of 26%. This is a significant improvement and the company is confident of sustaining this profitability,&rdquo; reads the statement highlighting the company&rsquo;s year-end report approved by the Board of Directors in mid-July.</p>

<p>The company said it has focused heavily on distributor infrastructure by leveraging on world class technology. All these actions are supposed to drive sustainable growth, the statement further said.</p>

<p>The Board of Directors have recommended a dividend of Rs 1100 per share on Equity Shares of Rs 100/- each. This year, the company is also celebrating its 25th year in Nepal. On this special occasion, the board has also recommended an additional special dividend of Rs 170 per share to commemorate the occasion.</p>

The total budget deficit has reached Rs 125.61 billion, according to the latest financial report unveiled by Nepal Rastra Bank.</p>

<p>Economists say that the rise in budget deficit could be counter-productive for the government. Economist Prof Dr Madan Dahal says that least developed countries have no options other than to face budget deficit. He opined that a budget deficit of more than 1 percent of the gross domestic product (GDP) would have negative impact in the overall economy.</p>

<p>Statistics show that Nepal&rsquo;s budget deficit was 4.8 percent of the GDP in last FY.</p>

<p>&ldquo;Statistics have shown that inflation is under control. But that is not the reality. It&rsquo;s all because the supply has increased,&rdquo; said Dahal.</p>

<p>The government had spent only Rs 793 billion out of the total budget of Rs 1048 in the last fiscal year.</p>

			'content' => '<p>August 28: Internet service is now available at the Everest Base Camp. Everest Link has started providing internet service at the base camp after setting up the facility with an investment of Rs 20 million. According to Chiring Sherpa, CEO of Everest Link, they were studying the possibility of internet service at the base camp since 2002 but the company started working on it from 2014. The internet service will benefit tourists, hotel entrepreneurs and porters.</p>

<p>The company has been providing internet service in the region through microwave from different places in the Terai. &ldquo;The internet service will be available in Lukla, Chaurikharka, Khumjung, Khunde, Pangboche, Tengboche, Dingboche,&rdquo; informed Sherpa. He said that the internet service has been linked from two/three places so that there won&rsquo;t be any problems in connectivity. The internet service will be faster than in Kathmandu, Sherpa claimed.</p>

<p>The company informed that it started the service for the development of the region and not for profit generation. Out of the 250 hotels in the Everest region, the company has included more than 200 hotels as stakeholders in the company. The stakeholders are entitled to receive 40 percent of the profit from generated from the internet service. The company has provided direct employment to 41 people.</p>

<p>Everest Link charges USD 200 for 100mb data and USD 500 for 200mb data. Meanwhile, the company provides a discount of Rs 100 for Nepali tourists on purchase of any data pack.</p>

<p>According to Chehang Lama, chief technical officer (CTO) of Everest Link, the high rate of transportation charge has increased the cost of internet service in the region.</p>

<p>&ldquo;It is a Herculean task to make such service available at a remote place like Everest,&rdquo; said Sherpa.</p>

<p>The company informed that it has been providing internet service after taking ISP license from Nepal Telecommunication. The company said that the internet service will also help in the promotion of tourism.</p>

<p>Sherpa also informed that they would start providing emergency health service in coordination with two hospitals of Kathmandu and a local hospital with the use of internet service.</p>
