All customers who use Visa cards to make payment at POS terminals and/or online merchants will get flat 10 percent cash back, the bank said in a statement. Laxmi Bank said this offer has been introduced for promoting cashless economy by encouraging digital payments and card use.</p>

<p>Visa card holders who use their card three times or more during the scheme period from April 15 to May 15 will be eligible for the cash back offer. They will receive 10 percent cash back of their transaction amount, up to a maximum of Rs 1,000 per card.</p>

<p>Card transactions of any amount made both here in Nepal and India will be eligible under this scheme said the bank. The cash back amount will be credited to their respective bank account or credit card account at the end of the scheme period.</p>

<p>Further, the bank is also providing additional offer to all new savings account opened during the scheme period. New account holders will receive &ldquo;e-Banking Package&rdquo; for free for four years worth Rs 1,000 which includes Visa Debit Card along with other auxiliary services such as mobile and internet banking.</p>

JICA said in a statement that it signed an agreement with the Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS) on February 2016 to implement the technical cooperation project named &ldquo;Project on Capacity Development for the implementation of Economic Census 2018 in Nepal&rdquo;. The objectives of the project are to develop the capacity of CBS officials to conduct the census and to enhance their skills in conducting other related statistical surveys.</p>

<p>The census was inaugurated on April 14 by Finance Minister Dr Yuba Raj Khatiwada amidst a formal ceremony on the premises of the Central Bureau of Statistics. During the occasion, Minister Khatiwada stressed the need to produce quality data which will be crucial in the future for planning and addressing several indicators of SDG&rsquo;s. He also urged the business community, formal and informal sectors to support the Economic Census 2018 data collection process.</p>

<p>According to the statement, Japanese Ambassador to Nepal Masashi Ogawa reiterated that the &ldquo;government of Japan is happy to be a part of the first ever economic census of Nepal and is hopeful that this initiative will pave way for the government of Nepal to function in a positive manner for the economic prosperity&rdquo;.</p>

<p>JICA said that the first-ever economic census in Nepal&rsquo;s history will cover all establishments in the territory of Nepal except some industrial sectors based on international practices. It aims to strengthen the statistical infrastructure by establishing both a statistical business register and a sampling frame containing all the establishments and enterprises in Nepal. The statistical results will be further used for planning and implementation of policies, plans and strategies of line ministries, province level, and local governments, as well as for universities, research institutions and private sector. It will disclose the actual condition of Nepal&rsquo;s economy.</p>

<p>The economic census will be implemented from April 14 to June 14 by the Central Bureau of Statistics. During the census period, enumerators with ID cards will visit establishments and ask questions about the establishments as mentioned in the form of the economic census. It is also possible for the establishments to answer the questions through the Internet which will be the first-ever e-Census in an official census and survey in Nepal, reads the statement.</p>

<p>The conference on Identifying Challenges, Assessing Progress, Moving Forward: Addressing Impunity and Realizing Human Rights in South Asia held in Kathmandu from April 9 to 11 unanimously adopted the Kathmandu Declaration.</p>

<p>The NHRIs have agreed to reinforce their support to the Charter of the United Nations; the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR); the International Covenant on Economic, Social, and Cultural Rights (ICESCR); the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights (ICCPR); and the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court; as well as the Agenda 2030 and the Sustainable Development Goals, alongside the Charter of the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) and its Convention on Preventing and Combating the Trafficking in Women and Children for Prostitution; Convention on Regional Arrangements for the Promotion of Child Welfare in South Asia and the Regional Convention on Suppression of Terrorism.</p>

<p>NHRIs from Jordan, Malaysia, Myanmar, Mongolia and the Philippines also participated in the event along with a broad range of human rights organisations (HROs) and journalists from the South Asia region.&nbsp; The United Nations Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights, the United Nations Development Program (UNDP)-Kathmandu and a number of international human rights organisations also participated.</p>

<p>President Bidya Devi Bhandari had inaugurated the conference amid a special ceremony.</p>

Laxmi Bank said this offer has been introduced for promoting cashless economy by encouraging digital payments and card use.</p>

<p>Visa card holders who use their card three times or more during the scheme period from April 15 to May 15 will be eligible for the cash back offer. They will receive 10 percent cash back of their transaction amount, up to a maximum of Rs 1,000 per card.</p>

<p>Card transactions of any amount made both here in Nepal and India will be eligible under this scheme said the bank. The cash back amount will be credited to their respective bank account or credit card account at the end of the scheme period.</p>

<p>Further, the bank is also providing additional offer to all new savings account opened during the scheme period. JICA said in a statement that it signed an agreement with the Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS) on February 2016 to implement the technical cooperation project named &ldquo;Project on Capacity Development for the implementation of Economic Census 2018 in Nepal&rdquo;. The objectives of the project are to develop the capacity of CBS officials to conduct the census and to enhance their skills in conducting other related statistical surveys.</p>

<p>The census was inaugurated on April 14 by Finance Minister Dr Yuba Raj Khatiwada amidst a formal ceremony on the premises of the Central Bureau of Statistics. During the occasion, Minister Khatiwada stressed the need to produce quality data which will be crucial in the future for planning and addressing several indicators of SDG&rsquo;s. He also urged the business community, formal and informal sectors to support the Economic Census 2018 data collection process.</p>

<p>According to the statement, Japanese Ambassador to Nepal Masashi Ogawa reiterated that the &ldquo;government of Japan is happy to be a part of the first ever economic census of Nepal and is hopeful that this initiative will pave way for the government of Nepal to function in a positive manner for the economic prosperity&rdquo;.</p>

<p>JICA said that the first-ever economic census in Nepal&rsquo;s history will cover all establishments in the territory of Nepal except some industrial sectors based on international practices. It aims to strengthen the statistical infrastructure by establishing both a statistical business register and a sampling frame containing all the establishments and enterprises in Nepal. The statistical results will be further used for planning and implementation of policies, plans and strategies of line ministries, province level, and local governments, as well as for universities, research institutions and private sector. It will disclose the actual condition of Nepal&rsquo;s economy.</p>

<p>The economic census will be implemented from April 14 to June 14 by the Central Bureau of Statistics. During the census period, enumerators with ID cards will visit establishments and ask questions about the establishments as mentioned in the form of the economic census. It is also possible for the establishments to answer the questions through the Internet which will be the first-ever e-Census in an official census and survey in Nepal, reads the statement.</p>

<p>The NHRIs have agreed to reinforce their support to the Charter of the United Nations; the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR); the International Covenant on Economic, Social, and Cultural Rights (ICESCR); the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights (ICCPR); and the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court; as well as the Agenda 2030 and the Sustainable Development Goals, alongside the Charter of the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) and its Convention on Preventing and Combating the Trafficking in Women and Children for Prostitution; Convention on Regional Arrangements for the Promotion of Child Welfare in South Asia and the Regional Convention on Suppression of Terrorism.</p>

<p>NHRIs from Jordan, Malaysia, Myanmar, Mongolia and the Philippines also participated in the event along with a broad range of human rights organisations (HROs) and journalists from the South Asia region.&nbsp; The United Nations Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights, the United Nations Development Program (UNDP)-Kathmandu and a number of international human rights organisations also participated.</p>

<p>President Bidya Devi Bhandari had inaugurated the conference amid a special ceremony.</p>

<p>Speaking at the inauguration, Min Bahadur Gurung, chairman of BBSM, said that the super market came into operation with a view to bring well facilitated shopping store in Province 1.</p>

<p>Spread acorss 8.5 katthas of land, this is the 15<sup>th</sup> branch of BBSM. Similarly, the store also has two cinema halls, reads the press statement. According to BBSM, it is offering 10 percent discount on the purchase of every goods as opening offer. The offer will be valid for a month till May 14.</p>

Laxmi Bank said this offer has been introduced for promoting cashless economy by encouraging digital payments and card use.</p>

<p>Visa card holders who use their card three times or more during the scheme period from April 15 to May 15 will be eligible for the cash back offer. They will receive 10 percent cash back of their transaction amount, up to a maximum of Rs 1,000 per card.</p>

<p>Card transactions of any amount made both here in Nepal and India will be eligible under this scheme said the bank. The cash back amount will be credited to their respective bank account or credit card account at the end of the scheme period.</p>

<p>Further, the bank is also providing additional offer to all new savings account opened during the scheme period. JICA said in a statement that it signed an agreement with the Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS) on February 2016 to implement the technical cooperation project named &ldquo;Project on Capacity Development for the implementation of Economic Census 2018 in Nepal&rdquo;. The objectives of the project are to develop the capacity of CBS officials to conduct the census and to enhance their skills in conducting other related statistical surveys.</p>

<p>The census was inaugurated on April 14 by Finance Minister Dr Yuba Raj Khatiwada amidst a formal ceremony on the premises of the Central Bureau of Statistics. During the occasion, Minister Khatiwada stressed the need to produce quality data which will be crucial in the future for planning and addressing several indicators of SDG&rsquo;s. He also urged the business community, formal and informal sectors to support the Economic Census 2018 data collection process.</p>

<p>According to the statement, Japanese Ambassador to Nepal Masashi Ogawa reiterated that the &ldquo;government of Japan is happy to be a part of the first ever economic census of Nepal and is hopeful that this initiative will pave way for the government of Nepal to function in a positive manner for the economic prosperity&rdquo;.</p>

<p>JICA said that the first-ever economic census in Nepal&rsquo;s history will cover all establishments in the territory of Nepal except some industrial sectors based on international practices. It aims to strengthen the statistical infrastructure by establishing both a statistical business register and a sampling frame containing all the establishments and enterprises in Nepal. The statistical results will be further used for planning and implementation of policies, plans and strategies of line ministries, province level, and local governments, as well as for universities, research institutions and private sector. It will disclose the actual condition of Nepal&rsquo;s economy.</p>

<p>The economic census will be implemented from April 14 to June 14 by the Central Bureau of Statistics. During the census period, enumerators with ID cards will visit establishments and ask questions about the establishments as mentioned in the form of the economic census. It is also possible for the establishments to answer the questions through the Internet which will be the first-ever e-Census in an official census and survey in Nepal, reads the statement.</p>

<p>The NHRIs have agreed to reinforce their support to the Charter of the United Nations; the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR); the International Covenant on Economic, Social, and Cultural Rights (ICESCR); the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights (ICCPR); and the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court; as well as the Agenda 2030 and the Sustainable Development Goals, alongside the Charter of the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) and its Convention on Preventing and Combating the Trafficking in Women and Children for Prostitution; Convention on Regional Arrangements for the Promotion of Child Welfare in South Asia and the Regional Convention on Suppression of Terrorism.</p>

<p>NHRIs from Jordan, Malaysia, Myanmar, Mongolia and the Philippines also participated in the event along with a broad range of human rights organisations (HROs) and journalists from the South Asia region.&nbsp; The United Nations Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights, the United Nations Development Program (UNDP)-Kathmandu and a number of international human rights organisations also participated.</p>

<p>President Bidya Devi Bhandari had inaugurated the conference amid a special ceremony.</p>

Laxmi Bank said this offer has been introduced for promoting cashless economy by encouraging digital payments and card use.</p>

<p>Visa card holders who use their card three times or more during the scheme period from April 15 to May 15 will be eligible for the cash back offer. They will receive 10 percent cash back of their transaction amount, up to a maximum of Rs 1,000 per card.</p>

<p>Card transactions of any amount made both here in Nepal and India will be eligible under this scheme said the bank. The cash back amount will be credited to their respective bank account or credit card account at the end of the scheme period.</p>

<p>Further, the bank is also providing additional offer to all new savings account opened during the scheme period. New account holders will receive &ldquo;e-Banking Package&rdquo; for free for four years worth Rs 1,000 which includes Visa Debit Card along with other auxiliary services such as mobile and internet banking.</p>

JICA said in a statement that it signed an agreement with the Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS) on February 2016 to implement the technical cooperation project named &ldquo;Project on Capacity Development for the implementation of Economic Census 2018 in Nepal&rdquo;. The objectives of the project are to develop the capacity of CBS officials to conduct the census and to enhance their skills in conducting other related statistical surveys.</p>

<p>The census was inaugurated on April 14 by Finance Minister Dr Yuba Raj Khatiwada amidst a formal ceremony on the premises of the Central Bureau of Statistics. During the occasion, Minister Khatiwada stressed the need to produce quality data which will be crucial in the future for planning and addressing several indicators of SDG&rsquo;s. He also urged the business community, formal and informal sectors to support the Economic Census 2018 data collection process.</p>

<p>According to the statement, Japanese Ambassador to Nepal Masashi Ogawa reiterated that the &ldquo;government of Japan is happy to be a part of the first ever economic census of Nepal and is hopeful that this initiative will pave way for the government of Nepal to function in a positive manner for the economic prosperity&rdquo;.</p>

<p>JICA said that the first-ever economic census in Nepal&rsquo;s history will cover all establishments in the territory of Nepal except some industrial sectors based on international practices. It aims to strengthen the statistical infrastructure by establishing both a statistical business register and a sampling frame containing all the establishments and enterprises in Nepal. The statistical results will be further used for planning and implementation of policies, plans and strategies of line ministries, province level, and local governments, as well as for universities, research institutions and private sector. It will disclose the actual condition of Nepal&rsquo;s economy.</p>

<p>The economic census will be implemented from April 14 to June 14 by the Central Bureau of Statistics. During the census period, enumerators with ID cards will visit establishments and ask questions about the establishments as mentioned in the form of the economic census. It is also possible for the establishments to answer the questions through the Internet which will be the first-ever e-Census in an official census and survey in Nepal, reads the statement.</p>

<p>The NHRIs have agreed to reinforce their support to the Charter of the United Nations; the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR); the International Covenant on Economic, Social, and Cultural Rights (ICESCR); the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights (ICCPR); and the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court; as well as the Agenda 2030 and the Sustainable Development Goals, alongside the Charter of the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) and its Convention on Preventing and Combating the Trafficking in Women and Children for Prostitution; Convention on Regional Arrangements for the Promotion of Child Welfare in South Asia and the Regional Convention on Suppression of Terrorism.</p>

<p>NHRIs from Jordan, Malaysia, Myanmar, Mongolia and the Philippines also participated in the event along with a broad range of human rights organisations (HROs) and journalists from the South Asia region.&nbsp; The United Nations Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights, the United Nations Development Program (UNDP)-Kathmandu and a number of international human rights organisations also participated.</p>

<p>President Bidya Devi Bhandari had inaugurated the conference amid a special ceremony.</p>

<p>Nepal Rastra Bank&#39;s Deputy Governor Chinta Mani Siwakoti inaugurated the service amid a function on Thursday, April 12. As per the bank, the service was started with an aim to facilitate its customers quickly and easily.</p>

<p>The bank said that its customers can use the service for paying bills of Nepal Electricity Authority, Nepal Telecom, and Internet as well as transferring money to e-service through this smart banking service.</p>

BBSM has opened a new outlet in Biratnagar with an investment of Rs 1 billion. Chief Minister of Province 1, Sher Dhan Rai, inaugurated the shopping store on the occasion of Nepali New Year, reads a statement issued by the company.</p>

<p>Speaking at the inauguration, Min Bahadur Gurung, chairman of BBSM, said that the super market came into operation with a view to bring well facilitated shopping store in Province 1.</p>

<p>Spread acorss 8.5 katthas of land, this is the 15<sup>th</sup> branch of BBSM. Similarly, the store also has two cinema halls, reads the press statement. According to BBSM, it is offering 10 percent discount on the purchase of every goods as opening offer. The offer will be valid for a month till May 14.</p>
