			'content' => '<p>April 18: China has officially handed over two Harbin Y-12 aircraft to Nepal Airlines Cooperation (NAC) during a handover program on Tuesday, April 17. The two Harbin aircraft with call sign 9N-AQ and 9N-AKV were handed to Nepal Airlines by AVIC International.</p>

<p>The 17-seater aircraft had arrived in Kathmandu on February 13 under the command of Chinese pilots.</p>

<p>NAC had decided to procure the aircraft considering its ability to land on narrow air strips in rural areas of Nepal.&nbsp; NAC aims to operate the Harbin aircraft in the mountainous airfields of the country which are difficult to reach.</p>

<p>The aircraft had received aircraft operation certificate and customs clearance from the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) before the handover ceremony.</p>

<p>The aircraft were procured in line with the 2012 joint agreement between China and Nepal. Chinese officials had agreed to assist Nepal with two complementary aircraft in purchase of four China-made aircraft and had also supported the procurement of the four aircraft by providing soft loans at reasonable interest rate. At present, all six aircraft including two MA-60 and 4 Harbin Y-12 have already arrived in Nepal.</p>

<p>In the first phase, one MA-60 and one Harbin Y-12 under Chinese grant had landed in Nepal on April 2014. Similarly, another lot of one MA-60 and one Harbin Y-12 procured with loan provided by the Chinese government had arrived in 2016.</p>

<p>Saugat Ratna Kansakar, managing director of Nepal Airlines Corporation, and Lee Sung Ang, chairman of AVIC International of China, had jointly signed the handing over agreement in the presence of Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Rabindra Adhikar and Yu Hong, Chinese ambassador to Nepal.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Minister Adhikari has also directed the airlines to operate the entire six China-made aircraft within the next 100 days.</p>

<p>&nbsp;Currently, Nepal Airlines is conducting its domestic flights with only one Twin Otter and MA-60 aircraft. &nbsp;</p>

<p>&nbsp;The NAC had signed the agreement with AVIC International Aero-Development Company to procure six aircraft &mdash; two 56-seater MA60 and four 17-seater Y-12e in November 2012.</p>

In its bi-annual South Asia Economic Focus (SAEF), the Washington DC-based global lender forecasted Nepal&#39;s economic growth rate at 4.6 percent, which is 2.9 percent less compared to the record of last year.</p>

<p>The World Bank report unveiled such a grim scenario for Nepal at a time when the new government has set its target of achieving double digit economic growth following the decentralization of power.</p>

<p>Earlier, the government had predicted a growth rate of 6.5 percent this year but has revised the data to 6 percent after the mid-term financial review.</p>

<p>The government after analyzing the ongoing development works, pace of earthquake reconstruction activities, extension of service sector and industries and increasing uses of industrial areas has predicted 6 percent economic growth.</p>

<p>But the World Bank report states that the negative impact created by the massive floods of August 2017 has been the cause of declining economic growth of the country.</p>

<p>The report further states that the flood has resulted in poor export, decreasing remittance inflow, lack of investible capital and increasing bank interest rate which have affected the economy adversely.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p>The World Bank also claims that the economic growth rate of Nepal will be limited to 4.5 and 4.3 percent respectively in FY 2019 and 2020.</p>

<p>Asian Development Bank in its recent financial outlook for Nepal also had predicted an overall economic growth of just 4.6 percent for this year.</p>

<p>With the new provision, credit cards can be used to withdraw Rs 500 to Rs 25,000 at a time. Likewise, the transaction limit is Rs 100,000 per month.</p>

<p>Similarly, the prepaid cardholders can do transactions of a minimum of Rs 500 to Rs 10,000 in Nepal. Meanwhile, the monthly limit is Rs 50,000.</p>

<p>The central bank has also set a ceiling on money transfer via internet banking system. With the new provision, a total of Rs 100,000 can be transferred from one bank to another bank via internet banking service. Likewise, the central bank has set monthly limit of Rs 1 million for such transfers.</p>

<p>The central bank has also set ceiling for digital mobile payment system. According to the new provision, per transaction limit for e-payment has been set at Rs 5,000, and daily and monthly limits have been set at Rs 15,000 and Rs 25,000 respectively.</p>

			'content' => '<p>April 18: China has officially handed over two Harbin Y-12 aircraft to Nepal Airlines Cooperation (NAC) during a handover program on Tuesday, April 17. The two Harbin aircraft with call sign 9N-AQ and 9N-AKV were handed to Nepal Airlines by AVIC International.</p>

<p>The 17-seater aircraft had arrived in Kathmandu on February 13 under the command of Chinese pilots.</p>

<p>NAC had decided to procure the aircraft considering its ability to land on narrow air strips in rural areas of Nepal.&nbsp; NAC aims to operate the Harbin aircraft in the mountainous airfields of the country which are difficult to reach.</p>

<p>The aircraft had received aircraft operation certificate and customs clearance from the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) before the handover ceremony.</p>

<p>The aircraft were procured in line with the 2012 joint agreement between China and Nepal. Chinese officials had agreed to assist Nepal with two complementary aircraft in purchase of four China-made aircraft and had also supported the procurement of the four aircraft by providing soft loans at reasonable interest rate. At present, all six aircraft including two MA-60 and 4 Harbin Y-12 have already arrived in Nepal.</p>

<p>In the first phase, one MA-60 and one Harbin Y-12 under Chinese grant had landed in Nepal on April 2014. Similarly, another lot of one MA-60 and one Harbin Y-12 procured with loan provided by the Chinese government had arrived in 2016.</p>

<p>Saugat Ratna Kansakar, managing director of Nepal Airlines Corporation, and Lee Sung Ang, chairman of AVIC International of China, had jointly signed the handing over agreement in the presence of Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Rabindra Adhikar and Yu Hong, Chinese ambassador to Nepal.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Minister Adhikari has also directed the airlines to operate the entire six China-made aircraft within the next 100 days.</p>

<p>&nbsp;Currently, Nepal Airlines is conducting its domestic flights with only one Twin Otter and MA-60 aircraft. &nbsp;</p>

<p>&nbsp;The NAC had signed the agreement with AVIC International Aero-Development Company to procure six aircraft &mdash; two 56-seater MA60 and four 17-seater Y-12e in November 2012.</p>

In its bi-annual South Asia Economic Focus (SAEF), the Washington DC-based global lender forecasted Nepal&#39;s economic growth rate at 4.6 percent, which is 2.9 percent less compared to the record of last year.</p>

<p>The World Bank report unveiled such a grim scenario for Nepal at a time when the new government has set its target of achieving double digit economic growth following the decentralization of power.</p>

<p>Earlier, the government had predicted a growth rate of 6.5 percent this year but has revised the data to 6 percent after the mid-term financial review.</p>

<p>The government after analyzing the ongoing development works, pace of earthquake reconstruction activities, extension of service sector and industries and increasing uses of industrial areas has predicted 6 percent economic growth.</p>

<p>But the World Bank report states that the negative impact created by the massive floods of August 2017 has been the cause of declining economic growth of the country.</p>

<p>The report further states that the flood has resulted in poor export, decreasing remittance inflow, lack of investible capital and increasing bank interest rate which have affected the economy adversely.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p>The World Bank also claims that the economic growth rate of Nepal will be limited to 4.5 and 4.3 percent respectively in FY 2019 and 2020.</p>

<p>Asian Development Bank in its recent financial outlook for Nepal also had predicted an overall economic growth of just 4.6 percent for this year.</p>

<p>Similarly, the prepaid cardholders can do transactions of a minimum of Rs 500 to Rs 10,000 in Nepal. Meanwhile, the monthly limit is Rs 50,000.</p>

<p>The central bank has also set a ceiling on money transfer via internet banking system. With the new provision, a total of Rs 100,000 can be transferred from one bank to another bank via internet banking service. Likewise, the central bank has set monthly limit of Rs 1 million for such transfers.</p>

<p>The central bank has also set ceiling for digital mobile payment system. According to the new provision, per transaction limit for e-payment has been set at Rs 5,000, and daily and monthly limits have been set at Rs 15,000 and Rs 25,000 respectively.</p>

			'content' => '<p>April 18: China has officially handed over two Harbin Y-12 aircraft to Nepal Airlines Cooperation (NAC) during a handover program on Tuesday, April 17. The two Harbin aircraft with call sign 9N-AQ and 9N-AKV were handed to Nepal Airlines by AVIC International.</p>

<p>The 17-seater aircraft had arrived in Kathmandu on February 13 under the command of Chinese pilots.</p>

<p>NAC had decided to procure the aircraft considering its ability to land on narrow air strips in rural areas of Nepal.&nbsp; NAC aims to operate the Harbin aircraft in the mountainous airfields of the country which are difficult to reach.</p>

<p>The aircraft had received aircraft operation certificate and customs clearance from the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) before the handover ceremony.</p>

<p>The aircraft were procured in line with the 2012 joint agreement between China and Nepal. Chinese officials had agreed to assist Nepal with two complementary aircraft in purchase of four China-made aircraft and had also supported the procurement of the four aircraft by providing soft loans at reasonable interest rate. At present, all six aircraft including two MA-60 and 4 Harbin Y-12 have already arrived in Nepal.</p>

<p>In the first phase, one MA-60 and one Harbin Y-12 under Chinese grant had landed in Nepal on April 2014. Similarly, another lot of one MA-60 and one Harbin Y-12 procured with loan provided by the Chinese government had arrived in 2016.</p>

<p>Saugat Ratna Kansakar, managing director of Nepal Airlines Corporation, and Lee Sung Ang, chairman of AVIC International of China, had jointly signed the handing over agreement in the presence of Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Rabindra Adhikar and Yu Hong, Chinese ambassador to Nepal.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Minister Adhikari has also directed the airlines to operate the entire six China-made aircraft within the next 100 days.</p>

<p>&nbsp;Currently, Nepal Airlines is conducting its domestic flights with only one Twin Otter and MA-60 aircraft. &nbsp;</p>

<p>&nbsp;The NAC had signed the agreement with AVIC International Aero-Development Company to procure six aircraft &mdash; two 56-seater MA60 and four 17-seater Y-12e in November 2012.</p>

<p>The World Bank report unveiled such a grim scenario for Nepal at a time when the new government has set its target of achieving double digit economic growth following the decentralization of power.</p>

<p>Earlier, the government had predicted a growth rate of 6.5 percent this year but has revised the data to 6 percent after the mid-term financial review.</p>

<p>The government after analyzing the ongoing development works, pace of earthquake reconstruction activities, extension of service sector and industries and increasing uses of industrial areas has predicted 6 percent economic growth.</p>

<p>But the World Bank report states that the negative impact created by the massive floods of August 2017 has been the cause of declining economic growth of the country.</p>

<p>The report further states that the flood has resulted in poor export, decreasing remittance inflow, lack of investible capital and increasing bank interest rate which have affected the economy adversely.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p>The World Bank also claims that the economic growth rate of Nepal will be limited to 4.5 and 4.3 percent respectively in FY 2019 and 2020.</p>

<p>Asian Development Bank in its recent financial outlook for Nepal also had predicted an overall economic growth of just 4.6 percent for this year.</p>

<p>Similarly, the prepaid cardholders can do transactions of a minimum of Rs 500 to Rs 10,000 in Nepal. Meanwhile, the monthly limit is Rs 50,000.</p>

<p>The central bank has also set a ceiling on money transfer via internet banking system. With the new provision, a total of Rs 100,000 can be transferred from one bank to another bank via internet banking service. Likewise, the central bank has set monthly limit of Rs 1 million for such transfers.</p>

<p>The central bank has also set ceiling for digital mobile payment system. According to the new provision, per transaction limit for e-payment has been set at Rs 5,000, and daily and monthly limits have been set at Rs 15,000 and Rs 25,000 respectively.</p>

			'content' => '<p>April 18: China has officially handed over two Harbin Y-12 aircraft to Nepal Airlines Cooperation (NAC) during a handover program on Tuesday, April 17. The two Harbin aircraft with call sign 9N-AQ and 9N-AKV were handed to Nepal Airlines by AVIC International.</p>

<p>The 17-seater aircraft had arrived in Kathmandu on February 13 under the command of Chinese pilots.</p>

<p>NAC had decided to procure the aircraft considering its ability to land on narrow air strips in rural areas of Nepal.&nbsp; NAC aims to operate the Harbin aircraft in the mountainous airfields of the country which are difficult to reach.</p>

<p>The aircraft had received aircraft operation certificate and customs clearance from the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) before the handover ceremony.</p>

<p>The aircraft were procured in line with the 2012 joint agreement between China and Nepal. Chinese officials had agreed to assist Nepal with two complementary aircraft in purchase of four China-made aircraft and had also supported the procurement of the four aircraft by providing soft loans at reasonable interest rate. At present, all six aircraft including two MA-60 and 4 Harbin Y-12 have already arrived in Nepal.</p>

<p>In the first phase, one MA-60 and one Harbin Y-12 under Chinese grant had landed in Nepal on April 2014. Similarly, another lot of one MA-60 and one Harbin Y-12 procured with loan provided by the Chinese government had arrived in 2016.</p>

<p>Saugat Ratna Kansakar, managing director of Nepal Airlines Corporation, and Lee Sung Ang, chairman of AVIC International of China, had jointly signed the handing over agreement in the presence of Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Rabindra Adhikar and Yu Hong, Chinese ambassador to Nepal.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Minister Adhikari has also directed the airlines to operate the entire six China-made aircraft within the next 100 days.</p>

<p>&nbsp;Currently, Nepal Airlines is conducting its domestic flights with only one Twin Otter and MA-60 aircraft. &nbsp;</p>

<p>&nbsp;The NAC had signed the agreement with AVIC International Aero-Development Company to procure six aircraft &mdash; two 56-seater MA60 and four 17-seater Y-12e in November 2012.</p>

<p>The World Bank report unveiled such a grim scenario for Nepal at a time when the new government has set its target of achieving double digit economic growth following the decentralization of power.</p>

<p>Earlier, the government had predicted a growth rate of 6.5 percent this year but has revised the data to 6 percent after the mid-term financial review.</p>

<p>The government after analyzing the ongoing development works, pace of earthquake reconstruction activities, extension of service sector and industries and increasing uses of industrial areas has predicted 6 percent economic growth.</p>

<p>But the World Bank report states that the negative impact created by the massive floods of August 2017 has been the cause of declining economic growth of the country.</p>

<p>The report further states that the flood has resulted in poor export, decreasing remittance inflow, lack of investible capital and increasing bank interest rate which have affected the economy adversely.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p>The World Bank also claims that the economic growth rate of Nepal will be limited to 4.5 and 4.3 percent respectively in FY 2019 and 2020.</p>

<p>Asian Development Bank in its recent financial outlook for Nepal also had predicted an overall economic growth of just 4.6 percent for this year.</p>

<p>The central bank has also set a ceiling on money transfer via internet banking system. With the new provision, a total of Rs 100,000 can be transferred from one bank to another bank via internet banking service. Likewise, the central bank has set monthly limit of Rs 1 million for such transfers.</p>

<p>The central bank has also set ceiling for digital mobile payment system. According to the new provision, per transaction limit for e-payment has been set at Rs 5,000, and daily and monthly limits have been set at Rs 15,000 and Rs 25,000 respectively.</p>

			'content' => '<p>April 18: Units of NIC Asia Capital&rsquo;s mutual fund - NIC Asia Growth Fund - have been listed in Nepal Stock Exchange Limited on Monday, April 16. According to the company, the seven-year close-fund scheme was issued for public from January 16 upon receiving the approval from Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON).</p>

<p>Units of the growth fund can now be traded in secondary market after being listed in the stock exchange. Investors will be able to receive both dividend and capital gain from the mutual fund. Apart from this, at the time of maturity, investors will be refunded based on the final Net Asset Value (NAV) of the scheme. The units will be traded in the registered name &ldquo;NICGF&rdquo;.</p>

<p>Along with managing mutual fund, NIC Asia Capital has been providing Portfolio Management Services (PMS) as well as Registrar to Shares (RTS) to four companies. NIC Asia Capital has also introduced free-of-cost Demat account with service fee waived for the first year.</p>
