National Loan Management Department under Nepal Rastra Bank decided to issue the T-bill to cover internal debt of the government. <p>The bank said that the T-bill Rs 3 billion will mature in 28 days on May 22. Likewise, T-bill equivalent to Rs 5.50 billion will mature on July 24. Likewise, 182-days T-bill worth Rs 5 billion will mature on October 23.</p>

<p>The bank said that 15 percent of the total amount will be received by the non-competitor auctioneer. Prior to this, the bank issued T-Bill worth Rs 5.25 billion on April 14 upon which Rs 10.56 billion was under auction.</p>

<p>Carrington was also the main speaker at a discussion and interaction programme on &lsquo;Market exports through ethical supply chain&rsquo; which was organised at iHub American Space FNCCI building on April 20. The event was attended by startups, entrepreneurs, media, researchers etc.</p>

<p>&ldquo;Majority of millennial want to know about how ethical is the company rather than just buying the products. They also want to support a company with good cause and are concerned about how the workers and labors are treated in the company,&rdquo; said Carrington. Nepal is known as one of the countries where the workforce is treated fairly, so it has lots of opportunities to go in terms of marketing its product as ethically sourced to national and international level. &ldquo;If Nepal can embrace transparent and ethical trade and combine that with the Nepal Trade Preference Programme (NTTP), the efforts will contribute in developing its economy,&rdquo; said Carrington.</p>

<p>Carrington also talked about how Nepali entrepreneurs can take advantage of the Nepal Trade Preference Programme. There are already few companies which have been transparent about their supply chain management and have been practicing it ethically and this trend has to be increased in order to expand the concept of ethical value chain and ethical supply chain management. &ldquo;If Nepal is to build the economy in the future, it has to be built with transparent supply chain,&rdquo; signed off Carrington.</p>

<p>&ldquo;Starting with small initiation is very important step to build a big enterprise. If you focus more on your effort and do the best with whatever is available at different phases of career and life, you will gain great idea with time and experience,&rdquo; said Elango Thiyagu, founder and CEO of ET Ideas during the workshop.</p>

<p>Thiyagu encouraged the participants to experiment with their ideas till they reach a point to build a sustainable venture. One most important factor for every entrepreneur is to have a clear goal. This will help the person to focus and work for goal despite of challenges on the way, said Thiyagu. &ldquo;Most people go unsuccessful because of their lack of focus, so the mind should remain focused to build a successful enterprise,&rdquo; he said.</p>

<p>During the session, he gave an example of a tree which stands firm and provides fruits throughout its lifetime despite of various challenges from nature and mankind. &ldquo;We should learn from various components of nature about putting continuous effort without short-term expectations,&rdquo; he shared among the participants. &nbsp;</p>

<p>The workshop was coordinated by Sandeep Dhawa who is associated with ET Ideas and is working with the business incubator to start its function in Nepal. &ldquo;We have started searching for potential people who are willing to bring socially impactful ideas and work with full dedication to build a successful and sustainable venture,&rdquo; said Dhawa.</p>

<p>The bank said that 15 percent of the total amount will be received by the non-competitor auctioneer. Prior to this, the bank issued T-Bill worth Rs 5.25 billion on April 14 upon which Rs 10.56 billion was under auction.</p>

<p>&ldquo;Majority of millennial want to know about how ethical is the company rather than just buying the products. They also want to support a company with good cause and are concerned about how the workers and labors are treated in the company,&rdquo; said Carrington. Nepal is known as one of the countries where the workforce is treated fairly, so it has lots of opportunities to go in terms of marketing its product as ethically sourced to national and international level. &ldquo;If Nepal can embrace transparent and ethical trade and combine that with the Nepal Trade Preference Programme (NTTP), the efforts will contribute in developing its economy,&rdquo; said Carrington.</p>

<p>Carrington also talked about how Nepali entrepreneurs can take advantage of the Nepal Trade Preference Programme. There are already few companies which have been transparent about their supply chain management and have been practicing it ethically and this trend has to be increased in order to expand the concept of ethical value chain and ethical supply chain management. &ldquo;If Nepal is to build the economy in the future, it has to be built with transparent supply chain,&rdquo; signed off Carrington.</p>

<p>The bank said that the T-bill Rs 3 billion will mature in 28 days on May 22. Likewise, T-bill equivalent to Rs 5.50 billion will mature on July 24. Likewise, 182-days T-bill worth Rs 5 billion will mature on October 23.</p>

<p>The bank said that 15 percent of the total amount will be received by the non-competitor auctioneer. Prior to this, the bank issued T-Bill worth Rs 5.25 billion on April 14 upon which Rs 10.56 billion was under auction.</p>

			'content' => '<p>April 23: Ten By Three, a non-profit organisation that helps woman artisans in developing countries earns wages that are significantly higher than fair trade wages, will be launching a programme to support the women from remote areas to produce and market handmade products. The project will be carried out in collaboration with the US Embassy in Nepal.</p>

<p>Ten by Three works with &lsquo;Prosperity Wage&rsquo; model which provide at least 2.5 times more wage than the fair trade. &ldquo;We screen the people in rural areas and select the poorest ones and the ones with entrepreneurial mind at the same time. Our main priority is to reduce poverty among the selected ones and help them grow through ethical and transparent supply chain,&rdquo; said Theresa Carrington in her talk with New Business Age. With this, the handmade products made by the women entrepreneurs will be marketed in the US with the picture and name of the particular entrepreneur and also a unique identification code which will help the consumer know more about him or her through online profile, said Carrington.</p>

<p>Carrington was also the main speaker at a discussion and interaction programme on &lsquo;Market exports through ethical supply chain&rsquo; which was organised at iHub American Space FNCCI building on April 20. The event was attended by startups, entrepreneurs, media, researchers etc.</p>

<p>&ldquo;Majority of millennial want to know about how ethical is the company rather than just buying the products. They also want to support a company with good cause and are concerned about how the workers and labors are treated in the company,&rdquo; said Carrington. Nepal is known as one of the countries where the workforce is treated fairly, so it has lots of opportunities to go in terms of marketing its product as ethically sourced to national and international level. &ldquo;If Nepal can embrace transparent and ethical trade and combine that with the Nepal Trade Preference Programme (NTTP), the efforts will contribute in developing its economy,&rdquo; said Carrington.</p>

<p>Carrington also talked about how Nepali entrepreneurs can take advantage of the Nepal Trade Preference Programme. There are already few companies which have been transparent about their supply chain management and have been practicing it ethically and this trend has to be increased in order to expand the concept of ethical value chain and ethical supply chain management. &ldquo;If Nepal is to build the economy in the future, it has to be built with transparent supply chain,&rdquo; signed off Carrington.</p>

			'content' => '<p>April 23: Marking the special occasion of New Year 2075 BS and as a part of the third anniversary celebrations, Himalaya Airlines said it reinforced its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative by extending its association with Prayas Nepal once again, by contributing kitchen utilities and a yearlong supply of notebooks for their children, for their new educational year of 2075-76 - as requested by the organization.</p>

<p>The officials of Himalaya Airlines received a special welcome upon their recent visit to Prayas Nepal premises in Baluwatar and had a lively interaction with the enthusiastic children and office bearers of the organization, the airlines said in a statement.</p>

<p>&ldquo;The airline&rsquo;s valuable contribution is much appreciated by Prayas Nepal and children were elated to receive the goodies including notebooks and chocolates,&rdquo; the statement further added.</p>

<p>During the program, Ujjwala Dali, head of Brand and Service Improvement Department of the airlines remarked, <em>&ldquo;It is an honour for Himalaya Airlines to get associated with Prayas Nepal once again. We sincerely hope our small contribution supports Prayas Nepal&rsquo;s efforts to</em><em> encourage and empower the children, to help them thrive and grow into confident, healthy and strong adults, in the times to come. Prayas Nepal is now under Himalaya Airline&rsquo;s CSR banner and we will continue our support for Prayas Nepal to </em><em>work towards the betterment of the future of these underprivileged children.&rdquo;</em></p>

<p>With a vision of constant endeavor to give back to the society, the airline said it believes sustainability and responsibility are critical to ensuring environmental, social and economic prosperity in the areas of its operation.</p>

<p>Prayas Nepal, located at Baluwatar, was established in 2003, with forethought to empower underprivileged children through education, awareness and skillful training.&nbsp; This organization is running a children&rsquo;s home for orphans, and abandoned, abused and physically challenged children from different parts of the country since its establishment.</p>

The project will be carried out in collaboration with the US Embassy in Nepal.</p>

<p>Ten by Three works with &lsquo;Prosperity Wage&rsquo; model which provide at least 2.5 times more wage than the fair trade. &ldquo;We screen the people in rural areas and select the poorest ones and the ones with entrepreneurial mind at the same time. Our main priority is to reduce poverty among the selected ones and help them grow through ethical and transparent supply chain,&rdquo; said Theresa Carrington in her talk with New Business Age. With this, the handmade products made by the women entrepreneurs will be marketed in the US with the picture and name of the particular entrepreneur and also a unique identification code which will help the consumer know more about him or her through online profile, said Carrington.</p>

<p>Carrington was also the main speaker at a discussion and interaction programme on &lsquo;Market exports through ethical supply chain&rsquo; which was organised at iHub American Space FNCCI building on April 20. The event was attended by startups, entrepreneurs, media, researchers etc.</p>

<p>&ldquo;Majority of millennial want to know about how ethical is the company rather than just buying the products. They also want to support a company with good cause and are concerned about how the workers and labors are treated in the company,&rdquo; said Carrington. Nepal is known as one of the countries where the workforce is treated fairly, so it has lots of opportunities to go in terms of marketing its product as ethically sourced to national and international level. &ldquo;If Nepal can embrace transparent and ethical trade and combine that with the Nepal Trade Preference Programme (NTTP), the efforts will contribute in developing its economy,&rdquo; said Carrington.</p>

<p>Carrington also talked about how Nepali entrepreneurs can take advantage of the Nepal Trade Preference Programme. There are already few companies which have been transparent about their supply chain management and have been practicing it ethically and this trend has to be increased in order to expand the concept of ethical value chain and ethical supply chain management. &ldquo;If Nepal is to build the economy in the future, it has to be built with transparent supply chain,&rdquo; signed off Carrington.</p>

<p>Thiyagu encouraged the participants to experiment with their ideas till they reach a point to build a sustainable venture. One most important factor for every entrepreneur is to have a clear goal. This will help the person to focus and work for goal despite of challenges on the way, said Thiyagu. &ldquo;Most people go unsuccessful because of their lack of focus, so the mind should remain focused to build a successful enterprise,&rdquo; he said.</p>

<p>During the session, he gave an example of a tree which stands firm and provides fruits throughout its lifetime despite of various challenges from nature and mankind. &ldquo;We should learn from various components of nature about putting continuous effort without short-term expectations,&rdquo; he shared among the participants. &nbsp;</p>

<p>The workshop was coordinated by Sandeep Dhawa who is associated with ET Ideas and is working with the business incubator to start its function in Nepal. &ldquo;We have started searching for potential people who are willing to bring socially impactful ideas and work with full dedication to build a successful and sustainable venture,&rdquo; said Dhawa.</p>
