GABV said in a press statement that Poudyal will be responsible for facilitating the activities and commitments of the Asia Pacific Chapter and expanding the network in the region.&nbsp;</p>

			<p>Poudyal is currently the director of Nabil Bank and National Banking Institute Nepal. The statement further says that he retired last year from the position of the CEO of NMB Bank Limited immediately after the global conference of the GABV in March 2017 in Kathmandu, which was held under his coordination. Earlier, &nbsp;Poudyal had also served as the president of the Nepal Bankers&rsquo; Association.&nbsp;</p>

			<p>&ldquo;The GABV member banks are deeply connected to the people and the communities. Its focus on inclusion puts basic banking products in service of a greater number of people, rather than highly sophisticated products in the hands of a few,&rdquo; the statement said.</p>

			<p>Poudyal is currently the director of Nabil Bank and National Banking Institute Nepal. The statement further says that he retired last year from the position of the CEO of NMB Bank Limited immediately after the global conference of the GABV in March 2017 in Kathmandu, which was held under his coordination. Earlier, &nbsp;Poudyal had also served as the president of the Nepal Bankers&rsquo; Association.&nbsp;</p>

<p>It is the 21<sup>st</sup> branchless banking service of the bank. Surendra Prasad Gupta, president of Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Barahachhetra Municipality inaugurated the service amid a function on Sunday, May 7. The bank also handed over a Point of Sale (PoS) machine to a local, Dinesh Neupane, by appointing him as the bank&#39;s representative for the place.</p>

<p>The bank said that its customers can conduct transaction including saving and withdrawal anywhere in the area through the PoS machine under branchless banking service.</p>
