The programme held in collaboration with the Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS) launched a series of videos on poverty and inequality; energy and industrial sectors; and on the benefits of import to the country. The programme aims to contribute to data literacy and to use the data in policy formulation and implementation.</p>

<p>&ldquo;In every country, the public has the right to seek data. Nepal also should now move forward in this case and work to make its data accessible to the public. The public&rsquo;s demand plays a vital role in bringing revolution in data dissemination and access to data,&rdquo; shared chief guest for the event Suman Raj Aryal, who is the director general of the Central Bureau of Statistics.</p>

<p>&ldquo;The videos were developed with the technical assistance of the Central Bureau of Statistics and are intended to generate more public interest on data and enhance people&rsquo;s understanding of key issues related to Nepal&rsquo;s development,&rdquo; shared Santosh Gartaula, CEO and co-founder of Bikas Udhyami. He added that through its Nepal in Data initiative, BikasUdhyami has been seeking to increase the availability and accessibility of data on Nepal through its portal and it is working to enhance data literacy through its infographics, news and tools.</p>

<p>The quiz session was hosted by Olof Granstrom and Fernanda Drumondfrom. As part of the guest lecture, the audience was quizzed about their knowledge and perceptions on different aspects of Nepal&rsquo;s development using electronic voting devices. The lecture provided the audience with new perspectives and insights based on available data regarding various issues related to Nepal&rsquo;s development.</p>

The study of NPC on &lsquo;Post Flood Recovery Needs Assessment&rsquo; (PFRNA) has also said that the destruction is equal to almost three percent of the country&rsquo;s gross domestic product (GDP).</span></p>

<p>As per the study, the floods had caused destruction worth Rs 19.51 billion in the residential areas, Rs 620 million in health sector, Rs 1.19 billion in education sector. Likewise, the floods destroyed agriculture products worth Rs 7.21 billion while there was a loss of Rs 10.67 in livestock and Rs 17.46 in irrigation. According to the report, transportation and drinking water had to bear a loss of Rs 2.93 billion and Rs 880 million, respectively. Floods during this monsoon had caused destruction in 35 districts of the country.</p>

<p>Of the total affected districts, 18 Terai districts were badly affected and the remaining ones had sustained less damages.&nbsp; NPC has also suggested the government to provide relief and rehabilitation worth Rs 73.22 billion in the affected districts. According to the report, the flood will have negative impact in the economy of the country.</p>

<p>The flood this year had claimed lives of almost 134 people.&nbsp;</p>

The first quarter reports of insurance companies including IME, Jyoti, Reliable, Sun Nepal and Union Life show that they have collected Rs 58 million.</span></p>

<p>The first quarter reports of four insurance companies except Union Life Insurance are available at the Insurance Board.</p>

<p>According to the statistics, four insurance companies have collected premium of Rs 36.5 million in a short period. The four companies collected the amount by issuing 2,873 insurance premiums.</p>

<p>It is informed that Union Life Insurance, which is in process of submitting its first quarter report, has collected premium of Rs 21 million by issuing 483 insurance premiums. Similarly, IME Life Insurance has claimed that the company has collected more than Rs 10 million premium.</p>

<p>Ashish Singh, assistant general manager of IME, said that the company which has 20 branches currently will be adding 55 branches in this FY. Around three staff are working in every branch of the company, and a total of 68 employees are providing the services, said the company.</p>

<p>Likewise, Jyoti Life Insurance has collected Rs 20.36 million premium by issuing 77 insurance premiums. The company has 10 branches currently and will soon be adding seven branches. Also, Sun Nepal has collected premium of Rs 22.8 million by issuing 588,000 premiums. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p>The government had provided license to seven insurance companies but some of the recently opened insurance companies have not provided any report yet. Sanima and Citizens life insurance companies started operation from October 19. The Insurance Board has requested all insurance companies that are in operations to submit the first quarter report within November 26.</p>

<p>Qatar Airways said it has taken a dynamic role in increasing autism awareness through a variety of autism-related initiatives and partnerships in the recent years. In April, the airline marked World Autism Awareness Day and supported the UN World Autism Awareness campaign by partnering with Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) to offer a program of activities to Qatar Airways&rsquo; employees. The activities, designed to increase awareness and deepen the airline&rsquo;s employees&rsquo; understanding of those with autism, included a series of seminars conducted by Hamad Medical Corporation doctors, specialists and therapists for employees to underscore techniques to recognise and support passengers with autism, the statement said. In addition, Qatar Airways said its crew visited the Child Development Centre (CDC), a specialised center located at HMC and Katara, to gain a better understanding of the condition.</p>

<p>Qatar Airways is also a proud partner of Doha&rsquo;s Shafallah Centre for Children with Special Needs to help employ young people with autism. The Shafallah Centre offers comprehensive services and care for individuals with intellectual disabilities and autism spectrum disorder and their families.</p>

<p>As per the study, the floods had caused destruction worth Rs 19.51 billion in the residential areas, Rs 620 million in health sector, Rs 1.19 billion in education sector. Likewise, the floods destroyed agriculture products worth Rs 7.21 billion while there was a loss of Rs 10.67 in livestock and Rs 17.46 in irrigation. According to the report, transportation and drinking water had to bear a loss of Rs 2.93 billion and Rs 880 million, respectively. Floods during this monsoon had caused destruction in 35 districts of the country.</p>

<p>Of the total affected districts, 18 Terai districts were badly affected and the remaining ones had sustained less damages.&nbsp; NPC has also suggested the government to provide relief and rehabilitation worth Rs 73.22 billion in the affected districts. According to the report, the flood will have negative impact in the economy of the country.</p>

<p>The flood this year had claimed lives of almost 134 people.&nbsp;</p>

The first quarter reports of insurance companies including IME, Jyoti, Reliable, Sun Nepal and Union Life show that they have collected Rs 58 million.</span></p>

<p>The first quarter reports of four insurance companies except Union Life Insurance are available at the Insurance Board.</p>

<p>According to the statistics, four insurance companies have collected premium of Rs 36.5 million in a short period. The four companies collected the amount by issuing 2,873 insurance premiums.</p>

<p>It is informed that Union Life Insurance, which is in process of submitting its first quarter report, has collected premium of Rs 21 million by issuing 483 insurance premiums. Similarly, IME Life Insurance has claimed that the company has collected more than Rs 10 million premium.</p>

<p>Ashish Singh, assistant general manager of IME, said that the company which has 20 branches currently will be adding 55 branches in this FY. Around three staff are working in every branch of the company, and a total of 68 employees are providing the services, said the company.</p>

<p>Likewise, Jyoti Life Insurance has collected Rs 20.36 million premium by issuing 77 insurance premiums. The company has 10 branches currently and will soon be adding seven branches. Also, Sun Nepal has collected premium of Rs 22.8 million by issuing 588,000 premiums. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p>The government had provided license to seven insurance companies but some of the recently opened insurance companies have not provided any report yet. Sanima and Citizens life insurance companies started operation from October 19. The Insurance Board has requested all insurance companies that are in operations to submit the first quarter report within November 26.</p>

<p>As per the study, the floods had caused destruction worth Rs 19.51 billion in the residential areas, Rs 620 million in health sector, Rs 1.19 billion in education sector. Likewise, the floods destroyed agriculture products worth Rs 7.21 billion while there was a loss of Rs 10.67 in livestock and Rs 17.46 in irrigation. According to the report, transportation and drinking water had to bear a loss of Rs 2.93 billion and Rs 880 million, respectively. Floods during this monsoon had caused destruction in 35 districts of the country.</p>

<p>Of the total affected districts, 18 Terai districts were badly affected and the remaining ones had sustained less damages.&nbsp; NPC has also suggested the government to provide relief and rehabilitation worth Rs 73.22 billion in the affected districts. According to the report, the flood will have negative impact in the economy of the country.</p>

<p>The flood this year had claimed lives of almost 134 people.&nbsp;</p>

The first quarter reports of insurance companies including IME, Jyoti, Reliable, Sun Nepal and Union Life show that they have collected Rs 58 million.</span></p>

<p>The first quarter reports of four insurance companies except Union Life Insurance are available at the Insurance Board.</p>

<p>According to the statistics, four insurance companies have collected premium of Rs 36.5 million in a short period. The four companies collected the amount by issuing 2,873 insurance premiums.</p>

<p>It is informed that Union Life Insurance, which is in process of submitting its first quarter report, has collected premium of Rs 21 million by issuing 483 insurance premiums. Similarly, IME Life Insurance has claimed that the company has collected more than Rs 10 million premium.</p>

<p>Ashish Singh, assistant general manager of IME, said that the company which has 20 branches currently will be adding 55 branches in this FY. Around three staff are working in every branch of the company, and a total of 68 employees are providing the services, said the company.</p>

<p>Likewise, Jyoti Life Insurance has collected Rs 20.36 million premium by issuing 77 insurance premiums. The company has 10 branches currently and will soon be adding seven branches. Also, Sun Nepal has collected premium of Rs 22.8 million by issuing 588,000 premiums. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p>The government had provided license to seven insurance companies but some of the recently opened insurance companies have not provided any report yet. Sanima and Citizens life insurance companies started operation from October 19. The Insurance Board has requested all insurance companies that are in operations to submit the first quarter report within November 26.</p>

<p>Qatar Airways said it has taken a dynamic role in increasing autism awareness through a variety of autism-related initiatives and partnerships in the recent years. In April, the airline marked World Autism Awareness Day and supported the UN World Autism Awareness campaign by partnering with Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) to offer a program of activities to Qatar Airways&rsquo; employees. The activities, designed to increase awareness and deepen the airline&rsquo;s employees&rsquo; understanding of those with autism, included a series of seminars conducted by Hamad Medical Corporation doctors, specialists and therapists for employees to underscore techniques to recognise and support passengers with autism, the statement said. In addition, Qatar Airways said its crew visited the Child Development Centre (CDC), a specialised center located at HMC and Katara, to gain a better understanding of the condition.</p>

<p>Qatar Airways is also a proud partner of Doha&rsquo;s Shafallah Centre for Children with Special Needs to help employ young people with autism. The study of NPC on &lsquo;Post Flood Recovery Needs Assessment&rsquo; (PFRNA) has also said that the destruction is equal to almost three percent of the country&rsquo;s gross domestic product (GDP).</span></p>

<p>As per the study, the floods had caused destruction worth Rs 19.51 billion in the residential areas, Rs 620 million in health sector, Rs 1.19 billion in education sector. Likewise, the floods destroyed agriculture products worth Rs 7.21 billion while there was a loss of Rs 10.67 in livestock and Rs 17.46 in irrigation. According to the report, transportation and drinking water had to bear a loss of Rs 2.93 billion and Rs 880 million, respectively. Floods during this monsoon had caused destruction in 35 districts of the country.</p>

<p>Of the total affected districts, 18 Terai districts were badly affected and the remaining ones had sustained less damages.&nbsp; NPC has also suggested the government to provide relief and rehabilitation worth Rs 73.22 billion in the affected districts. According to the report, the flood will have negative impact in the economy of the country.</p>

<p>The flood this year had claimed lives of almost 134 people.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The summit will focus on the sub-themes of intraregional trade and investment; climate change adaptation and disaster risk reduction; international labour migration and remittances; sustainable intensification of agriculture for food and nutrition security; energy cooperation; sustainable development goals; and genetic resources and intellectual property.</p>

<p>More than 200 people, including three ministers for commerce from South Asian countries, planning experts, ambassadors, lawmakers and high-ranking government officials will participate in the summit, according to Dr Swarnim Wagle, vice chairman of NPC.</p>

The first quarter reports of insurance companies including IME, Jyoti, Reliable, Sun Nepal and Union Life show that they have collected Rs 58 million.</span></p>

<p>The first quarter reports of four insurance companies except Union Life Insurance are available at the Insurance Board.</p>

<p>According to the statistics, four insurance companies have collected premium of Rs 36.5 million in a short period. The four companies collected the amount by issuing 2,873 insurance premiums.</p>

<p>It is informed that Union Life Insurance, which is in process of submitting its first quarter report, has collected premium of Rs 21 million by issuing 483 insurance premiums. Similarly, IME Life Insurance has claimed that the company has collected more than Rs 10 million premium.</p>

<p>Ashish Singh, assistant general manager of IME, said that the company which has 20 branches currently will be adding 55 branches in this FY. Around three staff are working in every branch of the company, and a total of 68 employees are providing the services, said the company.</p>

<p>Likewise, Jyoti Life Insurance has collected Rs 20.36 million premium by issuing 77 insurance premiums. The company has 10 branches currently and will soon be adding seven branches. Also, Sun Nepal has collected premium of Rs 22.8 million by issuing 588,000 premiums. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p>The government had provided license to seven insurance companies but some of the recently opened insurance companies have not provided any report yet. Sanima and Citizens life insurance companies started operation from October 19. The Insurance Board has requested all insurance companies that are in operations to submit the first quarter report within November 26.</p>

<p>Qatar Airways said it has taken a dynamic role in increasing autism awareness through a variety of autism-related initiatives and partnerships in the recent years. In April, the airline marked World Autism Awareness Day and supported the UN World Autism Awareness campaign by partnering with Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) to offer a program of activities to Qatar Airways&rsquo; employees. The activities, designed to increase awareness and deepen the airline&rsquo;s employees&rsquo; understanding of those with autism, included a series of seminars conducted by Hamad Medical Corporation doctors, specialists and therapists for employees to underscore techniques to recognise and support passengers with autism, the statement said. In addition, Qatar Airways said its crew visited the Child Development Centre (CDC), a specialised center located at HMC and Katara, to gain a better understanding of the condition.</p>

<p>Qatar Airways is also a proud partner of Doha&rsquo;s Shafallah Centre for Children with Special Needs to help employ young people with autism. The Shafallah Centre offers comprehensive services and care for individuals with intellectual disabilities and autism spectrum disorder and their families.</p>
