This measure aims to implement the provision requiring Nepali citizens going on foreign trips to pay a five percent tax on their tour package expenses. </span><br /> <span style="font-family:"Arial Unicode MS","sans-serif"">According to the procedure, tours and travel companies making arrangements for foreign trips for Nepali clients shall be required to charge an additional five percent fees each from their clients and submit to the government. Additionally, any foreign firm or company organising a trip to Nepal for the promotion of their business will also need to comply with this tax regulation. </span><br /> <span style="font-family:"Arial Unicode MS","sans-serif"">The tax can be paid through designated offices such as the Taxpayers' Service Office, Inland Revenue Office, Medium-Level Taxpayers' Office, or Large Taxpayers' Office. Only four local bodies in Karnali Province have not unveiled their budget. </span><br /> <span style="font-family:"Arial Unicode MS","sans-serif"">Twenty-nine local bodies in Koshi Province, 24 in Bagmati Province, seven in Gandaki Province, 14 in Lumbini Province and 13 in Sudurpaschim Province have not provided information on the passage of their annual budget. </span><br /> <span style="font-family:"Arial Unicode MS","sans-serif"">Assistant spokesperson at the Ministry of Federal Affairs and General Administration, Ashwin Kumar Pokharel said a high number of local bodies is seen not bringing their annual budget.
