Unilever to Sponsor National Women's Football Team

July 19: Unilever Nepal has partnered with the All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) to sponsor Nepal's national women's football team.

The company has expressed its commitment towards women empowerment and gender equality by giving importance to the development of women's football.

Issuing a statement, Unilever said, “This remarkable alliance underscores Unilever Nepal's unwavering commitment to fostering the empowerment of women and promoting gender equality throughout Nepal.”

Unilever Nepal added that it decided to extend support to the women’s football team with the aim of contributing to the development and empowerment of women in sports and to prepare a sustainable foundation in the field of sports in the future as well.

“In an era where Nepali women are making remarkable progress in various fields, Unilever Nepal acknowledges the significant influence that the national women's football team can have on the future of women's athletics. Taking this opportunity, Unilever Nepal seeks to contribute to the growth and empowerment of women in sports, cementing a lasting legacy for the future,” the statement said.

Unilever Nepal said it will work closely with ANFA to support and promote the women's football team in all aspects. It aims to contribute to the growth and success of the team, encourage the next generation of female footballers, and continue to plan and strive to someday take Nepal to the globally renowned international platforms. 

The statement mentions that Unilever Nepal's commitment to making a positive impact extends beyond football.
