<p>Galaxy J4 comes with unique advanced memory management which helps consumers save memory space by automatically directing image and video content from social media applications to the external memory card. The advanced memory management also helps in keeping the device memory clean by deleting duplicate images received on social media messengers.</p>

<p>According to the company, Galaxy J4 provides an adjustable front LED flash, which helps to capture better selfies by adjusting the LED flash as per the ambient lighting conditions. Galaxy J4 comes with a 13MP rear camera with an F1.9 aperture that helps consumers take images in low light conditions.</p>

<p>The smartphone comes in 2GB + 16GB and 3GB + 32GB memory variants (both expandable up to 256 GB) and is priced at Rs 17,290 and Rs 20,690 respectively.</p>

<p>The Kathmandu-based Embassy of India said in a statement that the meeting emphasized on the early completion of all bilateral economic and development cooperation projects by addressing difficulties faced by various projects in the process of their implementation, including projects such as cross-border rail projects, integrated check posts, tarai roads project, cross-border transmission lines, Arun-III hydropower project, among others.</p>

<p>The meeting was attended by projects implementing agencies from both the countries. Both the sides discussed measures to be undertaken by the respective governments and agencies to expedite project implementation and their early completion within specified timeframe.</p>

<p>According to the Indian Embassy, the first meeting of the oversight mechanism was held on November 29, 2016 pursuant to the September 2016 direction of the two prime ministers during the state visit of then Nepali prime minister to India.</p>

<p>The 7<sup>th</sup> meeting of the mechanism will take place on a mutually convenient date.</p>

<p>Euromoney, first published in 1969, is an English-language monthly magazine focused on business and finance.</p>

<p>According to NIBL, the Euromoney awards evaluate levels of service, financial performance and other achievements across the banking industry. This year, the organizers received almost 1,500 submissions from banks around the world competing for global, regional and national titles, NIBL said in a statement.</p>

<p>Bhuwaneshwar Prasad Shah, director of NIBL, received the award on behalf of NIBL amidst a special gala dinner at JW Marriott, Pacific Place, Hong Kong. There were almost 500 leading banks from around Asia, according to NIBL. &ldquo;This award is a very fulfilling testimonial of NIBL&rsquo;s strategic achievements,&rdquo; said Director Shah.</p>

<p>With the acquisition of Ace Development Bank, NIBL said its paid-up capital reached Rs 10.65 billion with Rs 20.94 billion core capital and assets worth more than USD 1.5 billion.</p>

<p>&ldquo;The bank delivered a 3rd quarter net profit of Rs 2.84 billion with a deposit base of Rs 130.2 billion and a lending base of Rs 118.8 billion - the highest lending base among private sector banks. It also has 57 branchless banking counters across remote parts of Nepal. The bank disbursed Rs 3.7 billion micro credit loans to deprived sector that has helped in the sustainable development of rural communities,&rdquo; the statement said.</p>

<p>The bank has more than 870,000 customer base catered from its 77 branches and seven extension counters across the country. NIBL has a network of 104 ATMs and leads a consortium 14 Visa Associate banks and seven NPN member banks. There are almost 1.5 million cards issued by its network, along with 790 ATMs and 2,597 POS terminals.</p>

<p>NIBL claimed that it is the only bank in the country to have received the &ldquo;Bank of the Year Award&rdquo; five times from Financial Times Group&rsquo;s The Banker, a UK based bank magazine and has received a credit rating [ICRANP-IR] A+ from ICRA Nepal (International Credit Rating Agency- Nepal).</p>

<p>As a part of the company&rsquo;s &nbsp;&lsquo;Pahilo SIM&rsquo; campaign, Ncell provided the scholarships to the students studying in 69 different institutes to support them complete the bridge courses for pursing further studies.</p>

<p>Pahilo SIM campaign was launched in April 2018 targeting SEE 2018 students. A total of 258 students, comprising 3 to 7 students from each of the 69 educational institutes, have received the partial scholarships worth Rs 5,000 each under the campaign. According to Ncell, the recipients of scholarship were decided based on the merit of internal exams taken by the institutes.</p>

<p>Ncell had collaborated with different educational institutes providing bridge course classes to SEE appeared students across the country to select and handover the partial scholarships under Pahilo SIM campaign.</p>

<p>This is the second year whereby Ncell provided partial scholarships to the SEE appeared students to complete bridge courses under the Pahilo SIM campaign. In 2017, the company said it had awarded partial scholarships to 126 SEE students who enrolled for bridge courses in 42 institutes.</p>

<p>The campaign aimed at recognizing excellence and honouring hard work of SEE appeared students pursuing bridge course in their preparations to enter into the next level of education, Ncell said in a statement.</p>

<p>&ldquo;The company believes the &lsquo;Pahilo SIM&rsquo; subscribed by the SEE appeared students will enable them to remain connected with their friends and family members in a reliable manner,&rdquo; the statement said.</p>

<p>The security locking system was launched after being approved by the authorities of Nepal Oil Corporation and Indian Oil Corporation.</p>

<p>Ram Prasad Acharya, Chief District Officer of Morang district, and Sushil Bhattarai, CEO of Nepal Oil Corporation, inaugurated the locking system by opening the locks of the fuel tanks arriving from Barauni, India.</p>

<p>Sushil Bhattarai while speaking at the inauguration ceremony informed that the locking system will help in curbing fuel leakage. He also expressed his anger towards individuals who had opposed the idea of locking system.</p>

<p>NOC has been importing fuels from Siligudi and Barauni depot in Province 1.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The fuel tanks are locked upon loading the fuel at the depot in India and are opened only in Nepal to stop the leakage.</p>

<p>Bhanu Bhakta Acharya, provincial chief of NOC, informed that the locking system will stop adulteration and theft of fuel.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p>Three hundred and fifty fuel tanks are mobilized to import 244,000 kilo liters of diesel and 66,000 kilo liters of petrol fuel to the central depot of NOC in Biratnagar and the province has been importing 90 percent of its fuel from Barauni.&nbsp;</p>

<p>&ldquo;It is critical to identify who are missing vaccination and reach them with lifesaving vaccines. Equity and improving vaccination coverage is the key to preventing resurgence of diseases, especially the ones eradicated with painstaking efforts, and for further reducing diseases and deaths among children,&rdquo; said Dr Poonam Khetrapal Singh, regional director WHO South-East Asia, inaugurating a three-day meeting of Immunization Technical Advisory Group in New Delhi.</p>

<p>The WHO said in a statement that the South-East Asia Region records about 37 million births every year, of them over 88% children are now getting three doses of diphtheria, pertussis and tetanus (DPT) vaccines annually, an indicator of basic vaccination coverage.</p>

<p>&ldquo;Mapping hard-to-reach areas and population, addressing social and cultural and other barriers for them to access immunization services, and closely monitoring these activities for progress, should be among our immediate priorities,&rdquo; the statement quoted the regional director as saying.</p>

<p>Many countries are making impressive efforts, such as India&rsquo;s Mission Indradhanush focusing on 190 districts; Indonesia&rsquo;s intensified drive in 80 districts, Myanmar&rsquo;s urban immunization intensification targeting 29 townships; Nepal&rsquo;s efforts to achieve full-immunization at sub-district level; and Timor Leste&rsquo;s community outreach and twinning programme with Sri Lanka for capacity building of vaccination programme officials.</p>

<p>In Cox&rsquo;s Bazar, Bangladesh, nine massive vaccination campaigns delivered more than 4.5 million doses of life saving vaccines to the Rohingya refugees. These efforts successfully averted outbreaks of deadly diseases such as cholera and measles and helped rapidly curtail diphtheria outbreak among this vulnerable population.</p>

<p>Growing political commitment, stronger partnerships, and relentless efforts of thousands of health workers and vaccinators, are collectively helping save millions of lives in the Region, Dr Khetrapal Singh said.</p>

<p>Member States have added several new vaccines to their immunization schedules such as for protection against pneumonia, diarrhea, Japanese Encephalitis and cervical cancer. Hepatitis B control is getting an impetus with vaccination.</p>

<p>The region continues to be polio-free and maintains its maternal and neonatal tetanus elimination status, the statement claimed.&nbsp;</p>

<p>According to the WHO, two countries &ndash; Bhutan and the Maldives &ndash; have eliminated measles, a flagship priority programme of WHO South-East Asia Region. All countries have introduced two doses of measles and rubella vaccines in their immunization schedule. Measles and rubella vaccination campaigns are planned to reach nearly 400 million children and adolescents in 2018-2019.</p>

<p>The Immunization Technical Advisory Group meeting, convened by WHO, is being attended by international experts, representatives of national immunization technical advisory bodies and immunization programme managers of member states of WHO South-East Asia Region, as well as partners and donors, such as UNICEF, US Centers for Disease Control and Gavi, The Vaccine Alliance. The Advisory Group will review the ongoing efforts and challenges to reduce the burden of various vaccine-preventable diseases, and explore ways of strengthening routine immunization and achieving measles elimination and rubella control in member states of the region.</p>

This year, Israel is celebrating its 70 years of independence and 60 years of the establishment of MASHAV (Israel&#39;s agency for International Development Cooperation under its foreign ministry), which has been assisting Nepal since the establishment of the diplomatic relations in 1960, through development cooperation, particularly in the capacity building of the human resources and humanitarian activities.</p>

<p>&ldquo;To celebrate this special occasion, the Embassy of Israel in Kathmandu has decided to use the budget allocated for its Independence Day celebration for a special cause, to give the way forward in the lives of children with disabilities by making their mobility accessible and increase independence. The Lions Club of Kathmandu Capital District 325-A2 and Karuna Foundation Nepal have collaborated with the Embassy for this noble cause,&rdquo; the embassy said in a statement.&nbsp;</p>

<p>According to the embassy, 40 &#39;Wheelchairs of Hope&#39; specially designed for children were distributed to children with disabilities by the chief guest Pradeep Kumar Gyawali, minister for Foreign Affairs, at a special function organized in Kathmandu.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Addressing the function Minister Gyawali thanked the Government of Israel for providing the wheelchair to Nepalese children with disability. &ldquo;The wheelchair will greatly enhance the mobility of the children with disability in Nepal. Since the establishment of relations between the two countries, Israel has been providing very meaningful support to Nepal. The newly developed wheelchair is another milestone,&rdquo; the statement uoted Minister Gyawali as saying.</p>

<p>Speaking during the program, Ambassador of Israel to Nepal, Benny Omer, expressed his satisfaction for the embassy&rsquo;s contribution to this humanitarian cause and hoped that these children would benefit from the specially designed, light and comfortable wheelchairs for the freedom of their movement and expressed his commitment for more of such activities in the future.</p>

<p>Meanwhile, Prof Dr Bhagawan Koirala, vice chairperson of Karuna Foundation Nepal, highlighted on the activities of Karuna Foundation Nepal in the areas of prevention of childhood disabilities and improvement of quality of lives of the children/adults with disabilities and their families. He further mentioned that environmental and attitudinal barriers are the major challenges for the people with disabilities in Nepal and further stressed that the time has come to break all barriers and myths to include this population into the mainstream.</p>

<p>The Embassy expressed its belief that such humanitarian activities would further strengthen the bilateral relations between Nepal and Israel, not only at the government level but also at grassroots level and between people to people, which is a very important component in the development of friendship.</p>

<p>The Kathmandu-based Embassy of India said in a statement that the meeting emphasized on the early completion of all bilateral economic and development cooperation projects by addressing difficulties faced by various projects in the process of their implementation, including projects such as cross-border rail projects, integrated check posts, tarai roads project, cross-border transmission lines, Arun-III hydropower project, among others.</p>

<p>The meeting was attended by projects implementing agencies from both the countries. Both the sides discussed measures to be undertaken by the respective governments and agencies to expedite project implementation and their early completion within specified timeframe.</p>

<p>According to the Indian Embassy, the first meeting of the oversight mechanism was held on November 29, 2016 pursuant to the September 2016 direction of the two prime ministers during the state visit of then Nepali prime minister to India.</p>

<p>The 7<sup>th</sup> meeting of the mechanism will take place on a mutually convenient date.</p>

<p>According to NIBL, the Euromoney awards evaluate levels of service, financial performance and other achievements across the banking industry. This year, the organizers received almost 1,500 submissions from banks around the world competing for global, regional and national titles, NIBL said in a statement.</p>

<p>Bhuwaneshwar Prasad Shah, director of NIBL, received the award on behalf of NIBL amidst a special gala dinner at JW Marriott, Pacific Place, Hong Kong. There were almost 500 leading banks from around Asia, according to NIBL. &ldquo;This award is a very fulfilling testimonial of NIBL&rsquo;s strategic achievements,&rdquo; said Director Shah.</p>

<p>With the acquisition of Ace Development Bank, NIBL said its paid-up capital reached Rs 10.65 billion with Rs 20.94 billion core capital and assets worth more than USD 1.5 billion.</p>

<p>&ldquo;The bank delivered a 3rd quarter net profit of Rs 2.84 billion with a deposit base of Rs 130.2 billion and a lending base of Rs 118.8 billion - the highest lending base among private sector banks. It also has 57 branchless banking counters across remote parts of Nepal. The bank disbursed Rs 3.7 billion micro credit loans to deprived sector that has helped in the sustainable development of rural communities,&rdquo; the statement said.</p>

<p>As a part of the company&rsquo;s &nbsp;&lsquo;Pahilo SIM&rsquo; campaign, Ncell provided the scholarships to the students studying in 69 different institutes to support them complete the bridge courses for pursing further studies.</p>

<p>Pahilo SIM campaign was launched in April 2018 targeting SEE 2018 students. A total of 258 students, comprising 3 to 7 students from each of the 69 educational institutes, have received the partial scholarships worth Rs 5,000 each under the campaign. According to Ncell, the recipients of scholarship were decided based on the merit of internal exams taken by the institutes.</p>

<p>Ncell had collaborated with different educational institutes providing bridge course classes to SEE appeared students across the country to select and handover the partial scholarships under Pahilo SIM campaign.</p>

<p>This is the second year whereby Ncell provided partial scholarships to the SEE appeared students to complete bridge courses under the Pahilo SIM campaign. In 2017, the company said it had awarded partial scholarships to 126 SEE students who enrolled for bridge courses in 42 institutes.</p>

<p>The campaign aimed at recognizing excellence and honouring hard work of SEE appeared students pursuing bridge course in their preparations to enter into the next level of education, Ncell said in a statement.</p>

<p>&ldquo;The company believes the &lsquo;Pahilo SIM&rsquo; subscribed by the SEE appeared students will enable them to remain connected with their friends and family members in a reliable manner,&rdquo; the statement said.</p>

<p>Sushil Bhattarai while speaking at the inauguration ceremony informed that the locking system will help in curbing fuel leakage. He also expressed his anger towards individuals who had opposed the idea of locking system.</p>

<p>NOC has been importing fuels from Siligudi and Barauni depot in Province 1.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The fuel tanks are locked upon loading the fuel at the depot in India and are opened only in Nepal to stop the leakage.</p>

<p>Bhanu Bhakta Acharya, provincial chief of NOC, informed that the locking system will stop adulteration and theft of fuel.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p>Three hundred and fifty fuel tanks are mobilized to import 244,000 kilo liters of diesel and 66,000 kilo liters of petrol fuel to the central depot of NOC in Biratnagar and the province has been importing 90 percent of its fuel from Barauni.&nbsp;</p>

<p>&ldquo;It is critical to identify who are missing vaccination and reach them with lifesaving vaccines. Equity and improving vaccination coverage is the key to preventing resurgence of diseases, especially the ones eradicated with painstaking efforts, and for further reducing diseases and deaths among children,&rdquo; said Dr Poonam Khetrapal Singh, regional director WHO South-East Asia, inaugurating a three-day meeting of Immunization Technical Advisory Group in New Delhi.</p>

<p>The WHO said in a statement that the South-East Asia Region records about 37 million births every year, of them over 88% children are now getting three doses of diphtheria, pertussis and tetanus (DPT) vaccines annually, an indicator of basic vaccination coverage.</p>

<p>&ldquo;Mapping hard-to-reach areas and population, addressing social and cultural and other barriers for them to access immunization services, and closely monitoring these activities for progress, should be among our immediate priorities,&rdquo; the statement quoted the regional director as saying.</p>

<p>Many countries are making impressive efforts, such as India&rsquo;s Mission Indradhanush focusing on 190 districts; Indonesia&rsquo;s intensified drive in 80 districts, Myanmar&rsquo;s urban immunization intensification targeting 29 townships; Nepal&rsquo;s efforts to achieve full-immunization at sub-district level; and Timor Leste&rsquo;s community outreach and twinning programme with Sri Lanka for capacity building of vaccination programme officials.</p>

<p>In Cox&rsquo;s Bazar, Bangladesh, nine massive vaccination campaigns delivered more than 4.5 million doses of life saving vaccines to the Rohingya refugees. These efforts successfully averted outbreaks of deadly diseases such as cholera and measles and helped rapidly curtail diphtheria outbreak among this vulnerable population.</p>

<p>Growing political commitment, stronger partnerships, and relentless efforts of thousands of health workers and vaccinators, are collectively helping save millions of lives in the Region, Dr Khetrapal Singh said.</p>

<p>Member States have added several new vaccines to their immunization schedules such as for protection against pneumonia, diarrhea, Japanese Encephalitis and cervical cancer. Hepatitis B control is getting an impetus with vaccination.</p>

<p>The region continues to be polio-free and maintains its maternal and neonatal tetanus elimination status, the statement claimed.&nbsp;</p>

<p>According to the WHO, two countries &ndash; Bhutan and the Maldives &ndash; have eliminated measles, a flagship priority programme of WHO South-East Asia Region. All countries have introduced two doses of measles and rubella vaccines in their immunization schedule. Measles and rubella vaccination campaigns are planned to reach nearly 400 million children and adolescents in 2018-2019.</p>

<p>The Immunization Technical Advisory Group meeting, convened by WHO, is being attended by international experts, representatives of national immunization technical advisory bodies and immunization programme managers of member states of WHO South-East Asia Region, as well as partners and donors, such as UNICEF, US Centers for Disease Control and Gavi, The Vaccine Alliance. The Advisory Group will review the ongoing efforts and challenges to reduce the burden of various vaccine-preventable diseases, and explore ways of strengthening routine immunization and achieving measles elimination and rubella control in member states of the region.</p>

This year, Israel is celebrating its 70 years of independence and 60 years of the establishment of MASHAV (Israel&#39;s agency for International Development Cooperation under its foreign ministry), which has been assisting Nepal since the establishment of the diplomatic relations in 1960, through development cooperation, particularly in the capacity building of the human resources and humanitarian activities.</p>

<p>&ldquo;To celebrate this special occasion, the Embassy of Israel in Kathmandu has decided to use the budget allocated for its Independence Day celebration for a special cause, to give the way forward in the lives of children with disabilities by making their mobility accessible and increase independence. The Lions Club of Kathmandu Capital District 325-A2 and Karuna Foundation Nepal have collaborated with the Embassy for this noble cause,&rdquo; the embassy said in a statement.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Addressing the function Minister Gyawali thanked the Government of Israel for providing the wheelchair to Nepalese children with disability. &ldquo;The wheelchair will greatly enhance the mobility of the children with disability in Nepal. Since the establishment of relations between the two countries, Israel has been providing very meaningful support to Nepal. The newly developed wheelchair is another milestone,&rdquo; the statement uoted Minister Gyawali as saying.</p>

<p>Speaking during the program, Ambassador of Israel to Nepal, Benny Omer, expressed his satisfaction for the embassy&rsquo;s contribution to this humanitarian cause and hoped that these children would benefit from the specially designed, light and comfortable wheelchairs for the freedom of their movement and expressed his commitment for more of such activities in the future.</p>

<p>The Kathmandu-based Embassy of India said in a statement that the meeting emphasized on the early completion of all bilateral economic and development cooperation projects by addressing difficulties faced by various projects in the process of their implementation, including projects such as cross-border rail projects, integrated check posts, tarai roads project, cross-border transmission lines, Arun-III hydropower project, among others.</p>

<p>The meeting was attended by projects implementing agencies from both the countries. Both the sides discussed measures to be undertaken by the respective governments and agencies to expedite project implementation and their early completion within specified timeframe.</p>

<p>According to the Indian Embassy, the first meeting of the oversight mechanism was held on November 29, 2016 pursuant to the September 2016 direction of the two prime ministers during the state visit of then Nepali prime minister to India.</p>

<p>The 7<sup>th</sup> meeting of the mechanism will take place on a mutually convenient date.</p>

<p>Euromoney, first published in 1969, is an English-language monthly magazine focused on business and finance.</p>

<p>According to NIBL, the Euromoney awards evaluate levels of service, financial performance and other achievements across the banking industry. This year, the organizers received almost 1,500 submissions from banks around the world competing for global, regional and national titles, NIBL said in a statement.</p>

<p>Bhuwaneshwar Prasad Shah, director of NIBL, received the award on behalf of NIBL amidst a special gala dinner at JW Marriott, Pacific Place, Hong Kong. There were almost 500 leading banks from around Asia, according to NIBL. &ldquo;This award is a very fulfilling testimonial of NIBL&rsquo;s strategic achievements,&rdquo; said Director Shah.</p>

<p>With the acquisition of Ace Development Bank, NIBL said its paid-up capital reached Rs 10.65 billion with Rs 20.94 billion core capital and assets worth more than USD 1.5 billion.</p>

<p>&ldquo;The bank delivered a 3rd quarter net profit of Rs 2.84 billion with a deposit base of Rs 130.2 billion and a lending base of Rs 118.8 billion - the highest lending base among private sector banks. It also has 57 branchless banking counters across remote parts of Nepal. The bank disbursed Rs 3.7 billion micro credit loans to deprived sector that has helped in the sustainable development of rural communities,&rdquo; the statement said.</p>

<p>The bank has more than 870,000 customer base catered from its 77 branches and seven extension counters across the country. NIBL has a network of 104 ATMs and leads a consortium 14 Visa Associate banks and seven NPN member banks. There are almost 1.5 million cards issued by its network, along with 790 ATMs and 2,597 POS terminals.</p>

<p>NIBL claimed that it is the only bank in the country to have received the &ldquo;Bank of the Year Award&rdquo; five times from Financial Times Group&rsquo;s The Banker, a UK based bank magazine and has received a credit rating [ICRANP-IR] A+ from ICRA Nepal (International Credit Rating Agency- Nepal).</p>

<p>The campaign aimed at recognizing excellence and honouring hard work of SEE appeared students pursuing bridge course in their preparations to enter into the next level of education, Ncell said in a statement.</p>

<p>Ram Prasad Acharya, Chief District Officer of Morang district, and Sushil Bhattarai, CEO of Nepal Oil Corporation, inaugurated the locking system by opening the locks of the fuel tanks arriving from Barauni, India.</p>

<p>Sushil Bhattarai while speaking at the inauguration ceremony informed that the locking system will help in curbing fuel leakage. He also expressed his anger towards individuals who had opposed the idea of locking system.</p>

<p>NOC has been importing fuels from Siligudi and Barauni depot in Province 1.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The fuel tanks are locked upon loading the fuel at the depot in India and are opened only in Nepal to stop the leakage.</p>

<p>Bhanu Bhakta Acharya, provincial chief of NOC, informed that the locking system will stop adulteration and theft of fuel.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p>Three hundred and fifty fuel tanks are mobilized to import 244,000 kilo liters of diesel and 66,000 kilo liters of petrol fuel to the central depot of NOC in Biratnagar and the province has been importing 90 percent of its fuel from Barauni.&nbsp;</p>

<p>&ldquo;It is critical to identify who are missing vaccination and reach them with lifesaving vaccines. Equity and improving vaccination coverage is the key to preventing resurgence of diseases, especially the ones eradicated with painstaking efforts, and for further reducing diseases and deaths among children,&rdquo; said Dr Poonam Khetrapal Singh, regional director WHO South-East Asia, inaugurating a three-day meeting of Immunization Technical Advisory Group in New Delhi.</p>

<p>The WHO said in a statement that the South-East Asia Region records about 37 million births every year, of them over 88% children are now getting three doses of diphtheria, pertussis and tetanus (DPT) vaccines annually, an indicator of basic vaccination coverage.</p>

<p>&ldquo;Mapping hard-to-reach areas and population, addressing social and cultural and other barriers for them to access immunization services, and closely monitoring these activities for progress, should be among our immediate priorities,&rdquo; the statement quoted the regional director as saying.</p>

<p>Many countries are making impressive efforts, such as India&rsquo;s Mission Indradhanush focusing on 190 districts; Indonesia&rsquo;s intensified drive in 80 districts, Myanmar&rsquo;s urban immunization intensification targeting 29 townships; Nepal&rsquo;s efforts to achieve full-immunization at sub-district level; and Timor Leste&rsquo;s community outreach and twinning programme with Sri Lanka for capacity building of vaccination programme officials.</p>

<p>In Cox&rsquo;s Bazar, Bangladesh, nine massive vaccination campaigns delivered more than 4.5 million doses of life saving vaccines to the Rohingya refugees. These efforts successfully averted outbreaks of deadly diseases such as cholera and measles and helped rapidly curtail diphtheria outbreak among this vulnerable population.</p>

<p>Growing political commitment, stronger partnerships, and relentless efforts of thousands of health workers and vaccinators, are collectively helping save millions of lives in the Region, Dr Khetrapal Singh said.</p>

<p>Member States have added several new vaccines to their immunization schedules such as for protection against pneumonia, diarrhea, Japanese Encephalitis and cervical cancer. Hepatitis B control is getting an impetus with vaccination.</p>

<p>The region continues to be polio-free and maintains its maternal and neonatal tetanus elimination status, the statement claimed.&nbsp;</p>

<p>According to the WHO, two countries &ndash; Bhutan and the Maldives &ndash; have eliminated measles, a flagship priority programme of WHO South-East Asia Region. All countries have introduced two doses of measles and rubella vaccines in their immunization schedule. Measles and rubella vaccination campaigns are planned to reach nearly 400 million children and adolescents in 2018-2019.</p>

<p>The Immunization Technical Advisory Group meeting, convened by WHO, is being attended by international experts, representatives of national immunization technical advisory bodies and immunization programme managers of member states of WHO South-East Asia Region, as well as partners and donors, such as UNICEF, US Centers for Disease Control and Gavi, The Vaccine Alliance. The Advisory Group will review the ongoing efforts and challenges to reduce the burden of various vaccine-preventable diseases, and explore ways of strengthening routine immunization and achieving measles elimination and rubella control in member states of the region.</p>

This year, Israel is celebrating its 70 years of independence and 60 years of the establishment of MASHAV (Israel&#39;s agency for International Development Cooperation under its foreign ministry), which has been assisting Nepal since the establishment of the diplomatic relations in 1960, through development cooperation, particularly in the capacity building of the human resources and humanitarian activities.</p>

<p>&ldquo;To celebrate this special occasion, the Embassy of Israel in Kathmandu has decided to use the budget allocated for its Independence Day celebration for a special cause, to give the way forward in the lives of children with disabilities by making their mobility accessible and increase independence. The Lions Club of Kathmandu Capital District 325-A2 and Karuna Foundation Nepal have collaborated with the Embassy for this noble cause,&rdquo; the embassy said in a statement.&nbsp;</p>

<p>According to the embassy, 40 &#39;Wheelchairs of Hope&#39; specially designed for children were distributed to children with disabilities by the chief guest Pradeep Kumar Gyawali, minister for Foreign Affairs, at a special function organized in Kathmandu.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Addressing the function Minister Gyawali thanked the Government of Israel for providing the wheelchair to Nepalese children with disability. &ldquo;The wheelchair will greatly enhance the mobility of the children with disability in Nepal. Since the establishment of relations between the two countries, Israel has been providing very meaningful support to Nepal. The newly developed wheelchair is another milestone,&rdquo; the statement uoted Minister Gyawali as saying.</p>

<p>Speaking during the program, Ambassador of Israel to Nepal, Benny Omer, expressed his satisfaction for the embassy&rsquo;s contribution to this humanitarian cause and hoped that these children would benefit from the specially designed, light and comfortable wheelchairs for the freedom of their movement and expressed his commitment for more of such activities in the future.</p>

<p>Meanwhile, Prof Dr Bhagawan Koirala, vice chairperson of Karuna Foundation Nepal, highlighted on the activities of Karuna Foundation Nepal in the areas of prevention of childhood disabilities and improvement of quality of lives of the children/adults with disabilities and their families. He further mentioned that environmental and attitudinal barriers are the major challenges for the people with disabilities in Nepal and further stressed that the time has come to break all barriers and myths to include this population into the mainstream.</p>

<p>The Embassy expressed its belief that such humanitarian activities would further strengthen the bilateral relations between Nepal and Israel, not only at the government level but also at grassroots level and between people to people, which is a very important component in the development of friendship.</p>

<p>The Kathmandu-based Embassy of India said in a statement that the meeting emphasized on the early completion of all bilateral economic and development cooperation projects by addressing difficulties faced by various projects in the process of their implementation, including projects such as cross-border rail projects, integrated check posts, tarai roads project, cross-border transmission lines, Arun-III hydropower project, among others.</p>

<p>The meeting was attended by projects implementing agencies from both the countries. Both the sides discussed measures to be undertaken by the respective governments and agencies to expedite project implementation and their early completion within specified timeframe.</p>

<p>According to the Indian Embassy, the first meeting of the oversight mechanism was held on November 29, 2016 pursuant to the September 2016 direction of the two prime ministers during the state visit of then Nepali prime minister to India.</p>

<p>The 7<sup>th</sup> meeting of the mechanism will take place on a mutually convenient date.</p>

			'content' => '<p>July 19: Nepal Investment Bank Limited (NIBL) has won the award of &lsquo;Nepal&rsquo;s Best Bank&rsquo; under Euromoney magazine&rsquo;s Awards for Excellence 2018, one of the most significant accolades in financial services.</p>

<p>Euromoney, first published in 1969, is an English-language monthly magazine focused on business and finance.</p>

<p>According to NIBL, the Euromoney awards evaluate levels of service, financial performance and other achievements across the banking industry. This year, the organizers received almost 1,500 submissions from banks around the world competing for global, regional and national titles, NIBL said in a statement.</p>

<p>Bhuwaneshwar Prasad Shah, director of NIBL, received the award on behalf of NIBL amidst a special gala dinner at JW Marriott, Pacific Place, Hong Kong. There were almost 500 leading banks from around Asia, according to NIBL. &ldquo;This award is a very fulfilling testimonial of NIBL&rsquo;s strategic achievements,&rdquo; said Director Shah.</p>

<p>With the acquisition of Ace Development Bank, NIBL said its paid-up capital reached Rs 10.65 billion with Rs 20.94 billion core capital and assets worth more than USD 1.5 billion.</p>

<p>&ldquo;The bank delivered a 3rd quarter net profit of Rs 2.84 billion with a deposit base of Rs 130.2 billion and a lending base of Rs 118.8 billion - the highest lending base among private sector banks. It also has 57 branchless banking counters across remote parts of Nepal. The bank disbursed Rs 3.7 billion micro credit loans to deprived sector that has helped in the sustainable development of rural communities,&rdquo; the statement said.</p>

<p>The bank has more than 870,000 customer base catered from its 77 branches and seven extension counters across the country. NIBL has a network of 104 ATMs and leads a consortium 14 Visa Associate banks and seven NPN member banks. There are almost 1.5 million cards issued by its network, along with 790 ATMs and 2,597 POS terminals.</p>

<p>NIBL claimed that it is the only bank in the country to have received the &ldquo;Bank of the Year Award&rdquo; five times from Financial Times Group&rsquo;s The Banker, a UK based bank magazine and has received a credit rating [ICRANP-IR] A+ from ICRA Nepal (International Credit Rating Agency- Nepal).</p>

<p>Pahilo SIM campaign was launched in April 2018 targeting SEE 2018 students. A total of 258 students, comprising 3 to 7 students from each of the 69 educational institutes, have received the partial scholarships worth Rs 5,000 each under the campaign. According to Ncell, the recipients of scholarship were decided based on the merit of internal exams taken by the institutes.</p>

<p>Ncell had collaborated with different educational institutes providing bridge course classes to SEE appeared students across the country to select and handover the partial scholarships under Pahilo SIM campaign.</p>

<p>This is the second year whereby Ncell provided partial scholarships to the SEE appeared students to complete bridge courses under the Pahilo SIM campaign. In 2017, the company said it had awarded partial scholarships to 126 SEE students who enrolled for bridge courses in 42 institutes.</p>

<p>The campaign aimed at recognizing excellence and honouring hard work of SEE appeared students pursuing bridge course in their preparations to enter into the next level of education, Ncell said in a statement.</p>

<p>&ldquo;The company believes the &lsquo;Pahilo SIM&rsquo; subscribed by the SEE appeared students will enable them to remain connected with their friends and family members in a reliable manner,&rdquo; the statement said.</p>

<p>NOC has been importing fuels from Siligudi and Barauni depot in Province 1.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The fuel tanks are locked upon loading the fuel at the depot in India and are opened only in Nepal to stop the leakage.</p>

<p>Bhanu Bhakta Acharya, provincial chief of NOC, informed that the locking system will stop adulteration and theft of fuel.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p>Three hundred and fifty fuel tanks are mobilized to import 244,000 kilo liters of diesel and 66,000 kilo liters of petrol fuel to the central depot of NOC in Biratnagar and the province has been importing 90 percent of its fuel from Barauni.&nbsp;</p>

Equity and improving vaccination coverage is the key to preventing resurgence of diseases, especially the ones eradicated with painstaking efforts, and for further reducing diseases and deaths among children,&rdquo; said Dr Poonam Khetrapal Singh, regional director WHO South-East Asia, inaugurating a three-day meeting of Immunization Technical Advisory Group in New Delhi.</p>

<p>The WHO said in a statement that the South-East Asia Region records about 37 million births every year, of them over 88% children are now getting three doses of diphtheria, pertussis and tetanus (DPT) vaccines annually, an indicator of basic vaccination coverage.</p>

<p>&ldquo;Mapping hard-to-reach areas and population, addressing social and cultural and other barriers for them to access immunization services, and closely monitoring these activities for progress, should be among our immediate priorities,&rdquo; the statement quoted the regional director as saying.</p>

<p>Many countries are making impressive efforts, such as India&rsquo;s Mission Indradhanush focusing on 190 districts; Indonesia&rsquo;s intensified drive in 80 districts, Myanmar&rsquo;s urban immunization intensification targeting 29 townships; Nepal&rsquo;s efforts to achieve full-immunization at sub-district level; and Timor Leste&rsquo;s community outreach and twinning programme with Sri Lanka for capacity building of vaccination programme officials.</p>

<p>In Cox&rsquo;s Bazar, Bangladesh, nine massive vaccination campaigns delivered more than 4.5 million doses of life saving vaccines to the Rohingya refugees. These efforts successfully averted outbreaks of deadly diseases such as cholera and measles and helped rapidly curtail diphtheria outbreak among this vulnerable population.</p>

<p>Growing political commitment, stronger partnerships, and relentless efforts of thousands of health workers and vaccinators, are collectively helping save millions of lives in the Region, Dr Khetrapal Singh said.</p>

<p>Member States have added several new vaccines to their immunization schedules such as for protection against pneumonia, diarrhea, Japanese Encephalitis and cervical cancer. Hepatitis B control is getting an impetus with vaccination.</p>

<p>The region continues to be polio-free and maintains its maternal and neonatal tetanus elimination status, the statement claimed.&nbsp;</p>

<p>According to the WHO, two countries &ndash; Bhutan and the Maldives &ndash; have eliminated measles, a flagship priority programme of WHO South-East Asia Region. All countries have introduced two doses of measles and rubella vaccines in their immunization schedule. Measles and rubella vaccination campaigns are planned to reach nearly 400 million children and adolescents in 2018-2019.</p>

<p>The Immunization Technical Advisory Group meeting, convened by WHO, is being attended by international experts, representatives of national immunization technical advisory bodies and immunization programme managers of member states of WHO South-East Asia Region, as well as partners and donors, such as UNICEF, US Centers for Disease Control and Gavi, The Vaccine Alliance. The Advisory Group will review the ongoing efforts and challenges to reduce the burden of various vaccine-preventable diseases, and explore ways of strengthening routine immunization and achieving measles elimination and rubella control in member states of the region.</p>

The Lions Club of Kathmandu Capital District 325-A2 and Karuna Foundation Nepal have collaborated with the Embassy for this noble cause,&rdquo; the embassy said in a statement.&nbsp;</p>

<p>According to the embassy, 40 &#39;Wheelchairs of Hope&#39; specially designed for children were distributed to children with disabilities by the chief guest Pradeep Kumar Gyawali, minister for Foreign Affairs, at a special function organized in Kathmandu.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Addressing the function Minister Gyawali thanked the Government of Israel for providing the wheelchair to Nepalese children with disability. &ldquo;The wheelchair will greatly enhance the mobility of the children with disability in Nepal. Since the establishment of relations between the two countries, Israel has been providing very meaningful support to Nepal. The newly developed wheelchair is another milestone,&rdquo; the statement uoted Minister Gyawali as saying.</p>

<p>Speaking during the program, Ambassador of Israel to Nepal, Benny Omer, expressed his satisfaction for the embassy&rsquo;s contribution to this humanitarian cause and hoped that these children would benefit from the specially designed, light and comfortable wheelchairs for the freedom of their movement and expressed his commitment for more of such activities in the future.</p>

<p>Meanwhile, Prof Dr Bhagawan Koirala, vice chairperson of Karuna Foundation Nepal, highlighted on the activities of Karuna Foundation Nepal in the areas of prevention of childhood disabilities and improvement of quality of lives of the children/adults with disabilities and their families. He further mentioned that environmental and attitudinal barriers are the major challenges for the people with disabilities in Nepal and further stressed that the time has come to break all barriers and myths to include this population into the mainstream.</p>

<p>The Embassy expressed its belief that such humanitarian activities would further strengthen the bilateral relations between Nepal and Israel, not only at the government level but also at grassroots level and between people to people, which is a very important component in the development of friendship.</p>
