<p>Prem Khadka, a local cheese producer, states that the demand for cheese has increased due to the rise in number of tourists.</p>

<p>One particular cheese factory in Ghar produces between 15 to 20 kg of cheese from 120 liters of milk on a daily basis. The factory has given employment to 5 locals and earns Rs 600,000 annually, informed Khadka.</p>

<p>The annual general meeting of Om Development Bank held last year had given the authority for merger or acquisition to the board of directors of the bank.</p>

<p>After the acquisition, Prime Commercial Bank will be among the top five commercial banks of the country. The bank&rsquo;s paid-up capital will reach Rs 10.5 billion while the deposit collection will cross Rs 100 billion after the acquisition. Meanwhile, the loan portfolio is estimated to be Rs 90 billion, said Bishwa Mohan Adhikari, CEO of Om Development Bank.</p>

<p>&ldquo;We have started preparation to begin integrated transaction from mid-November,&rdquo; said Adhikari, adding, &ldquo;This agreement will prove to be a milestone in creating a strong financial institution.&rdquo;</p>

<p>Adhikari informed New Business Age that the agreement was signed to create a strong financial institution although both the banks meet the paid-up capital ceiling set by the central bank.</p>

<p>At present, Prime Commercial Bank&rsquo;s paid-up capital is Rs 8.3 billion while that of Om Development Bank is Rs 2.51 billion.</p>

<p>&ldquo;The main challenge in Nepal is unemployment. To solve this problem, youths should opt for entrepreneurship,&rdquo; said Bista.</p>

<p>He further highlighted the importance of economic development through entrepreneurship and expressed his support for the entrepreneurial ecosystem.</p>

<p>Speaking at the programme, Ashutosh Tiwari, founder and managing director of Safal Partners, said entrepreneurship is about continuous learning for which learning attitude is important.</p>

<p>Ten companies namely Naya Jagir, Tiffin Express, Waste Recyclers, Titepati, Krishima Yuwa, Your Agricultural Product, Whpedia, Hariyo Paat Sabaiko Saath, Hamro Pathshala and Revive presented their business plans in the pitching session.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Managing director of a private company named SmartPaani, Suman Shakya, who is also a consultant, trainer and entrepreneur said being an entrepreneur is not easy but it is a choice.</p>

<p>&ldquo;You see a problem and try to solve it through entrepreneurship,&rdquo; he added in the panel discussion about social entrepreneurship.</p>

<p>The programme concluded after distribution of token of love to the jury members, facilitators, mentors and partners. &nbsp;</p>

<p>YSBC received applications from 55 teams from different walks of life throughout Nepal. From among the applicants, 22 teams were selected for second round and 15 teams for third round.</p>

<p>YSBC has been organising social business challenge since the last three years.</p>

<p>The annual general meeting of Om Development Bank held last year had given the authority for merger or acquisition to the board of directors of the bank.</p>

<p>After the acquisition, Prime Commercial Bank will be among the top five commercial banks of the country. The bank&rsquo;s paid-up capital will reach Rs 10.5 billion while the deposit collection will cross Rs 100 billion after the acquisition. Meanwhile, the loan portfolio is estimated to be Rs 90 billion, said Bishwa Mohan Adhikari, CEO of Om Development Bank.</p>

<p>&ldquo;We have started preparation to begin integrated transaction from mid-November,&rdquo; said Adhikari, adding, &ldquo;This agreement will prove to be a milestone in creating a strong financial institution.&rdquo;</p>

<p>Adhikari informed New Business Age that the agreement was signed to create a strong financial institution although both the banks meet the paid-up capital ceiling set by the central bank.</p>

<p>At present, Prime Commercial Bank&rsquo;s paid-up capital is Rs 8.3 billion while that of Om Development Bank is Rs 2.51 billion.</p>

<p>&ldquo;You see a problem and try to solve it through entrepreneurship,&rdquo; he added in the panel discussion about social entrepreneurship.</p>

<p>The programme concluded after distribution of token of love to the jury members, facilitators, mentors and partners. &nbsp;</p>

<p>YSBC received applications from 55 teams from different walks of life throughout Nepal. From among the applicants, 22 teams were selected for second round and 15 teams for third round.</p>

The bank&rsquo;s paid-up capital will reach Rs 10.5 billion while the deposit collection will cross Rs 100 billion after the acquisition. Meanwhile, the loan portfolio is estimated to be Rs 90 billion, said Bishwa Mohan Adhikari, CEO of Om Development Bank.</p>

<p>&ldquo;We have started preparation to begin integrated transaction from mid-November,&rdquo; said Adhikari, adding, &ldquo;This agreement will prove to be a milestone in creating a strong financial institution.&rdquo;</p>

<p>Adhikari informed New Business Age that the agreement was signed to create a strong financial institution although both the banks meet the paid-up capital ceiling set by the central bank.</p>

<p>He further highlighted the importance of economic development through entrepreneurship and expressed his support for the entrepreneurial ecosystem.</p>

<p>Speaking at the programme, Ashutosh Tiwari, founder and managing director of Safal Partners, said entrepreneurship is about continuous learning for which learning attitude is important.</p>

<p>Ten companies namely Naya Jagir, Tiffin Express, Waste Recyclers, Titepati, Krishima Yuwa, Your Agricultural Product, Whpedia, Hariyo Paat Sabaiko Saath, Hamro Pathshala and Revive presented their business plans in the pitching session.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Managing director of a private company named SmartPaani, Suman Shakya, who is also a consultant, trainer and entrepreneur said being an entrepreneur is not easy but it is a choice.</p>

<p>&ldquo;You see a problem and try to solve it through entrepreneurship,&rdquo; he added in the panel discussion about social entrepreneurship.</p>

<p>The programme concluded after distribution of token of love to the jury members, facilitators, mentors and partners. &nbsp;</p>

<p>YSBC received applications from 55 teams from different walks of life throughout Nepal. From among the applicants, 22 teams were selected for second round and 15 teams for third round.</p>

<p>YSBC has been organising social business challenge since the last three years.</p>

<p>Uday Mohan Shrestha of Prime Commercial Bank and Sushil Kumar Goshali, chairman of Om Development Bank signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organisations amid a recent function.</p>

<p>The annual general meeting of Om Development Bank held last year had given the authority for merger or acquisition to the board of directors of the bank.</p>

<p>After the acquisition, Prime Commercial Bank will be among the top five commercial banks of the country. The bank&rsquo;s paid-up capital will reach Rs 10.5 billion while the deposit collection will cross Rs 100 billion after the acquisition. Meanwhile, the loan portfolio is estimated to be Rs 90 billion, said Bishwa Mohan Adhikari, CEO of Om Development Bank.</p>

<p>&ldquo;We have started preparation to begin integrated transaction from mid-November,&rdquo; said Adhikari, adding, &ldquo;This agreement will prove to be a milestone in creating a strong financial institution.&rdquo;</p>

<p>Adhikari informed New Business Age that the agreement was signed to create a strong financial institution although both the banks meet the paid-up capital ceiling set by the central bank.</p>

<p>At present, Prime Commercial Bank&rsquo;s paid-up capital is Rs 8.3 billion while that of Om Development Bank is Rs 2.51 billion.</p>

<p>He further highlighted the importance of economic development through entrepreneurship and expressed his support for the entrepreneurial ecosystem.</p>

<p>Speaking at the programme, Ashutosh Tiwari, founder and managing director of Safal Partners, said entrepreneurship is about continuous learning for which learning attitude is important.</p>

<p>Ten companies namely Naya Jagir, Tiffin Express, Waste Recyclers, Titepati, Krishima Yuwa, Your Agricultural Product, Whpedia, Hariyo Paat Sabaiko Saath, Hamro Pathshala and Revive presented their business plans in the pitching session.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Managing director of a private company named SmartPaani, Suman Shakya, who is also a consultant, trainer and entrepreneur said being an entrepreneur is not easy but it is a choice.</p>

<p>&ldquo;You see a problem and try to solve it through entrepreneurship,&rdquo; he added in the panel discussion about social entrepreneurship.</p>

<p>The programme concluded after distribution of token of love to the jury members, facilitators, mentors and partners. &nbsp;</p>

<p>YSBC received applications from 55 teams from different walks of life throughout Nepal. From among the applicants, 22 teams were selected for second round and 15 teams for third round.</p>

<p>YSBC has been organising social business challenge since the last three years.</p>
