<p style="text-align:justify">The design was handed over to Shanti Pakhrin,a parliamentarian from Dolakha. Appreciating the students&rsquo;research and design of earthquake affected place, Dolakha, Pakhrin said the design could be used to build an earthquake-resistant village.</p>

<p style="text-align:justify">Highlighting the importance and role of engineering, President ofNepal-Swiss Friendship Society, Khem Raj Lakai said that the approach of Stanford&rsquo;s students would help in changing the present state of the village. He said, &ldquo;This design is a reference for housing constructions that will be availableto anyone any time.&rdquo;</p>

<p style="text-align:justify">In the same programme,Architect Shirshak Baniya also presented housing design for Terai region. &ldquo;There is a gap between engineers and localsof Terai due to which engineers are not being able to present the designs of national level as well.&rdquo;Revealing the values of traditional housing design of Khatiya culture in Terai, Baniya stressed on maintaining the design for Terai in a modern way. The design was handed to Sanjya Kumar Gautam, Member of Parliament and former minister of Irrigation.</p>

			'content' => '<p>September 14: The Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS) has published the preliminary report of the National Economic Census 2018. The report of the first economic census of Nepal was unveiled by Dr Ram Kumar Phuyal, a member of National Planning Commission (NPC), on September 13 amidst a function held on the premises of CBS office.</p>

<p>Speaking on the occasion, Dr Phuyal said, &ldquo;This census is a way forward for Nepal&rsquo;s development as the information of all necessary indicators in statistics is derived from it. This will support in the economic forecasting.&rdquo;</p>

<p>The programme was attended by Shinya Machida, minister-counselor as well as deputy chief of mission at the Embassy of Japan in Nepal; chief representative of JICA Nepal Office, Jun Sakuma; Director General of CBS Suman Raj Aryal and JICA experts engaged in the census operation.</p>

<p>According to the preliminary report, there are altogether 922,445 official business establishments across Nepal. The biggest district in terms of number of such establishments is Kathmandu with 123,994 business entities followed by Jhapa (38,741), Rupandehi (38,415), Morang (35,237) and Sunsari (31,486).</p>

<p>Province wise, Province 3 tops the list with 282,056 establishments followed by Province 1 (168,434), Province 5 (147,892), Province 2 (117,588), Province 4 (100,688) and Province 7 (62,970). According to the report, Province 6 is at the bottom of this list with 42,817 business establishments.</p>

<p>CBS with the technical assistance of Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) is implementing the &ldquo;Project on Capacity Development for the Implementation of Economic Census 2018 in Nepal&rdquo;. Issuing a press statement, JICA said that the project aims to conduct the first-ever economic census in Nepal. CBS carried out the field operation of the National Economic Census 2018 from April 14 to June 14, 2018 mobilising 4,000 supervisor and enumerators.</p>

<p>Salam Air is the first budget carrier of Oman and has started its commercial operation since January 2017 making Muscat as its main hub. It currently has five aircraft all of them 174-seater Airbus 320 and flies to 15 destinations including Muscat, Salalah, Suhar, Dubai, Doha, Jeddah, Karachi, Multan, Sialkot, Shiraz, Tbilisi, Baku, as well as newly introduced Dhaka, Khartoum and Najaf. Kathmandu is its 16<sup>th</sup> international destination and the direct flights between Kathmandu and Muscat will basically cater to the needs of the Nepalese migrant workers who can travel to and from Muscat to other countries of the Middle East and Asia at an affordable price. Additionally, the tourists who are making Muscat as their transit, will also greatly benefit. As per CAAN&rsquo;s approval, Salam Air will land in Kathmandu at 8:00 Hrs and take off at 8:40 Hrs.</p>

<p style="text-align:justify">Highlighting the importance and role of engineering, President ofNepal-Swiss Friendship Society, Khem Raj Lakai said that the approach of Stanford&rsquo;s students would help in changing the present state of the village. He said, &ldquo;This design is a reference for housing constructions that will be availableto anyone any time.&rdquo;</p>

<p style="text-align:justify">In the same programme,Architect Shirshak Baniya also presented housing design for Terai region. &ldquo;There is a gap between engineers and localsof Terai due to which engineers are not being able to present the designs of national level as well.&rdquo;Revealing the values of traditional housing design of Khatiya culture in Terai, Baniya stressed on maintaining the design for Terai in a modern way. The design was handed to Sanjya Kumar Gautam, Member of Parliament and former minister of Irrigation.</p>

			'content' => '<p>September 14: The Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS) has published the preliminary report of the National Economic Census 2018. The report of the first economic census of Nepal was unveiled by Dr Ram Kumar Phuyal, a member of National Planning Commission (NPC), on September 13 amidst a function held on the premises of CBS office.</p>

<p>Speaking on the occasion, Dr Phuyal said, &ldquo;This census is a way forward for Nepal&rsquo;s development as the information of all necessary indicators in statistics is derived from it. This will support in the economic forecasting.&rdquo;</p>

<p>The programme was attended by Shinya Machida, minister-counselor as well as deputy chief of mission at the Embassy of Japan in Nepal; chief representative of JICA Nepal Office, Jun Sakuma; Director General of CBS Suman Raj Aryal and JICA experts engaged in the census operation.</p>

<p>According to the preliminary report, there are altogether 922,445 official business establishments across Nepal. The biggest district in terms of number of such establishments is Kathmandu with 123,994 business entities followed by Jhapa (38,741), Rupandehi (38,415), Morang (35,237) and Sunsari (31,486).</p>

<p>Province wise, Province 3 tops the list with 282,056 establishments followed by Province 1 (168,434), Province 5 (147,892), Province 2 (117,588), Province 4 (100,688) and Province 7 (62,970). According to the report, Province 6 is at the bottom of this list with 42,817 business establishments.</p>

<p>CBS with the technical assistance of Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) is implementing the &ldquo;Project on Capacity Development for the Implementation of Economic Census 2018 in Nepal&rdquo;. Issuing a press statement, JICA said that the project aims to conduct the first-ever economic census in Nepal. CBS carried out the field operation of the National Economic Census 2018 from April 14 to June 14, 2018 mobilising 4,000 supervisor and enumerators.</p>

Additionally, the tourists who are making Muscat as their transit, will also greatly benefit. As per CAAN&rsquo;s approval, Salam Air will land in Kathmandu at 8:00 Hrs and take off at 8:40 Hrs.</p>

<p>Speaking at a press meet organized at Tribhuvan International Airport, Chandra Prasad Dhakal, vice president of FNCCI and IME Group&rsquo;s chairman, stated that the flight will reduce the cost of foreign employment for each employee. The CEO of Salam Air Captain Mohamed Ahmed stated that the flight will contribute to the country&rsquo;s economic development.</p>

The report of the first economic census of Nepal was unveiled by Dr Ram Kumar Phuyal, a member of National Planning Commission (NPC), on September 13 amidst a function held on the premises of CBS office.</p>

<p>Speaking on the occasion, Dr Phuyal said, &ldquo;This census is a way forward for Nepal&rsquo;s development as the information of all necessary indicators in statistics is derived from it. This will support in the economic forecasting.&rdquo;</p>

<p>The programme was attended by Shinya Machida, minister-counselor as well as deputy chief of mission at the Embassy of Japan in Nepal; chief representative of JICA Nepal Office, Jun Sakuma; Director General of CBS Suman Raj Aryal and JICA experts engaged in the census operation.</p>

<p>According to the preliminary report, there are altogether 922,445 official business establishments across Nepal. The biggest district in terms of number of such establishments is Kathmandu with 123,994 business entities followed by Jhapa (38,741), Rupandehi (38,415), Morang (35,237) and Sunsari (31,486).</p>

<p>Province wise, Province 3 tops the list with 282,056 establishments followed by Province 1 (168,434), Province 5 (147,892), Province 2 (117,588), Province 4 (100,688) and Province 7 (62,970). According to the report, Province 6 is at the bottom of this list with 42,817 business establishments.</p>

<p>CBS with the technical assistance of Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) is implementing the &ldquo;Project on Capacity Development for the Implementation of Economic Census 2018 in Nepal&rdquo;. Issuing a press statement, JICA said that the project aims to conduct the first-ever economic census in Nepal. CBS carried out the field operation of the National Economic Census 2018 from April 14 to June 14, 2018 mobilising 4,000 supervisor and enumerators.</p>

<p>Salam Air is the first budget carrier of Oman and has started its commercial operation since January 2017 making Muscat as its main hub. It currently has five aircraft all of them 174-seater Airbus 320 and flies to 15 destinations including Muscat, Salalah, Suhar, Dubai, Doha, Jeddah, Karachi, Multan, Sialkot, Shiraz, Tbilisi, Baku, as well as newly introduced Dhaka, Khartoum and Najaf. Kathmandu is its 16<sup>th</sup> international destination and the direct flights between Kathmandu and Muscat will basically cater to the needs of the Nepalese migrant workers who can travel to and from Muscat to other countries of the Middle East and Asia at an affordable price. Additionally, the tourists who are making Muscat as their transit, will also greatly benefit. As per CAAN&rsquo;s approval, Salam Air will land in Kathmandu at 8:00 Hrs and take off at 8:40 Hrs.</p>

<p style="text-align:justify">The design was handed over to Shanti Pakhrin,a parliamentarian from Dolakha. Appreciating the students&rsquo;research and design of earthquake affected place, Dolakha, Pakhrin said the design could be used to build an earthquake-resistant village.</p>

<p style="text-align:justify">Highlighting the importance and role of engineering, President ofNepal-Swiss Friendship Society, Khem Raj Lakai said that the approach of Stanford&rsquo;s students would help in changing the present state of the village. He said, &ldquo;This design is a reference for housing constructions that will be availableto anyone any time.&rdquo;</p>

<p style="text-align:justify">In the same programme,Architect Shirshak Baniya also presented housing design for Terai region. &ldquo;There is a gap between engineers and localsof Terai due to which engineers are not being able to present the designs of national level as well.&rdquo;Revealing the values of traditional housing design of Khatiya culture in Terai, Baniya stressed on maintaining the design for Terai in a modern way. The design was handed to Sanjya Kumar Gautam, Member of Parliament and former minister of Irrigation.</p>

<p style="text-align:justify">Speaking about the economic impact of India&rsquo;s Kumbha Mela, Satyaendra Tripathi, a fellow of India Foundation highlighted the importance of management aspectsfor any great occasionin Nepal. The report of the first economic census of Nepal was unveiled by Dr Ram Kumar Phuyal, a member of National Planning Commission (NPC), on September 13 amidst a function held on the premises of CBS office.</p>

<p>Speaking on the occasion, Dr Phuyal said, &ldquo;This census is a way forward for Nepal&rsquo;s development as the information of all necessary indicators in statistics is derived from it. This will support in the economic forecasting.&rdquo;</p>

<p>The programme was attended by Shinya Machida, minister-counselor as well as deputy chief of mission at the Embassy of Japan in Nepal; chief representative of JICA Nepal Office, Jun Sakuma; Director General of CBS Suman Raj Aryal and JICA experts engaged in the census operation.</p>

<p>According to the preliminary report, there are altogether 922,445 official business establishments across Nepal. The biggest district in terms of number of such establishments is Kathmandu with 123,994 business entities followed by Jhapa (38,741), Rupandehi (38,415), Morang (35,237) and Sunsari (31,486).</p>

<p>Province wise, Province 3 tops the list with 282,056 establishments followed by Province 1 (168,434), Province 5 (147,892), Province 2 (117,588), Province 4 (100,688) and Province 7 (62,970). According to the report, Province 6 is at the bottom of this list with 42,817 business establishments.</p>

<p>CBS with the technical assistance of Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) is implementing the &ldquo;Project on Capacity Development for the Implementation of Economic Census 2018 in Nepal&rdquo;. Issuing a press statement, JICA said that the project aims to conduct the first-ever economic census in Nepal. CBS carried out the field operation of the National Economic Census 2018 from April 14 to June 14, 2018 mobilising 4,000 supervisor and enumerators.</p>

Additionally, the tourists who are making Muscat as their transit, will also greatly benefit. As per CAAN&rsquo;s approval, Salam Air will land in Kathmandu at 8:00 Hrs and take off at 8:40 Hrs.</p>
