Deurali-Janta Pharmaceuticals to Produce new Drugs as it Turns 29

February 1: Deurali-Janta Pharmaceuticals, one of the leading pharmaceutical industries of Nepal, has announced to produce drugs for nerve disorder and psychotherapy in the coming days. Currently, the industry has been producing 320 kinds of drugs. 

Speaking at the 28th anniversary of the industry, Haribhakta Sharma, executive director of Deurali-Janta, said that the industry has been moving forward by developing research centre with modern equipment to produce to produce and develop drugs in Nepal. He demanded old laws to be amended as the domestic industry has been unable to develop as per the expectation because of government’s unclear policy.    
Sharma informed that the company has been investing on research and developing drugs that are important in the context of Nepal. 
“Old policies are still in practice. When will those acts be revised? This is the question of the industrialists,” he said, demanding the government to enable Nepali entrepreneurs to invest in foreign countries.
