January 30: Everest Bank has provided financial assistance to Zonta Club of Kathmandu for construction of toilets in Nawalparasi district.</p>
<p>
Issuing a press statement on January 28, the bank said it provided the support to the club under its corporate social responsibility with focus on sanitation of the underprivileged people of the country.</p>
<p>
Someshwar Seth, CEO of the bank, handover a cheque to the club’s representatives Seema Golcha and Sameena Shrestha amid a recent function.</p>
<p>
The bank said that the amount will be utilized for constructing toilets for female students in government schools of Nawalparasi. The bank expects that this initiative will help reduce the rate of female students’ drop-out, just because of lack of toilets and sanitation problem. The bank, however, did not reveal the amount provided to the club.</p>
