December 23: Paanch Pokhari Cricket Club won the title of Nepal-Pakistan Friendship T-20 Cricket Tournament organised recently by the Embassy of Pakistan in Kathmandu.

Issuing a statement on Friday, the Pakistani embassy said that Royal Indoor Cricket Club finished as the runner-up in the 10-day competition participated by 16 Nepali cricket teams.

According to the embassy, it was the fourth annual event of its type.

Pakistan’s Ambassador to Nepal Mazhar Javed vowed to further energize the embassy’s efforts to bring the youths of two countries closer together. This, he said, was an important pillar of the people-to-people contacts between Pakistan and Nepal.
