<p>The company said in a statement that it is Tata Motors&rsquo; fourth product based on the &lsquo;Impact Design&rsquo; philosophy.</p>

<p>Launched at an introductory price of Rs 3.2 million for the petrol variant and Rs 4.1 million for the diesel variant, Tata Nexon is one of the most competitively priced SUVs in its segment, the company claimed. The vehicle has been available for sale starting from February 22 at 20 authorized sales outlets across Nepal.</p>

<p>Speaking at the launch, Sujan Roy, head of International Business at Passenger Vehicle Business Unit of Tata Motors, said, &ldquo;As part of our business strategy, we are renewing the focus on filling product gaps and tapping emerging white spaces.We introduce products that not just enhance the brand but are aligned with the rising aspirations of customers. The Tata Nexon It is the culmination of this radical shift in thinking and will further expand Tata Motors&rsquo; addressable market.&rdquo;</p>

<p>Unveiling the Tata NEXON, Siddhartha SJB Rana, executive chairman of Sipradi Trading Pvt Ltd, said, &ldquo;With the launch of the Tata Nexon, we have now expanded our business beyond hatchbacks and sedans. This is our first big step into the Compact SUV segment, and we are proud to do it with a high-quality product from the house of Tatas.&rdquo;</p>

<p>Tata Nexon is available in four variants (XE, XM, XT, and XZ+) and five colours (vermont red, moroccan blue, seattle silver, glasgow grey, and calgary white),with a standard warranty of 75,000 km or 3 years, whichever is earlier.</p>

<p>According to the host Internet Exchange Nepal (NPIX), the largest contingent of attendees are from Nepal (250), followed by 271 from the rest of the SAARC region.</p>

<p>Large groups of participants from Australia, New Zealand, Japan, China, Singapore, USA and UK have already arrived for the event which kicked off on February 19. Attendees from 65 countries and economies are expected before the event concludes on February 28. Some of the attendees are arriving from as far as South Africa and Uruguay in South America.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The first phase of the event, which included training from experts, concluded with 190 trainees gaining hands-on experience on Internet of Things (IoT), Security, Network Management and Routing.</p>

<p>The formal opening of the event will happen on the 25<sup>th</sup> of February. Kathmandu Mayor,BidyaSundarShakya, will open the event by formally welcoming the global participants to the capital city.</p>

<p>The hosts and organizers are excited about the large number of foreign participants, as it demonstrates global confidence in attending major events in Nepal.</p>

<p>Asia Pacific Internet Association (APIA) and Asia Pacific Network Information Center (APNIC) along with the local support of Internet Exchange Nepal (NPIX) are organizing the mega event.</p>

<p>The event brings together global Internet technologists to discuss advanced networking topics during the 10-day jamboree.</p>

<p>The event is supported by the Nepal Telecommunications Authority in the public sectorand local IT organizations - Nepal Network Operators Group (NPNOG), Nepal Research and Education Network (NREN), Federation of Computer Associations of Nepal (FCAN) and the Internet Society (Nepal Chapter).&nbsp; Global companies including Google, Facebook, Equinix, VeriSign, DE-CIX, Netflix, Telstra, LINX, Airtel, Juniper, Amazon Web Servicesand others are sponsors for the event.</p>

<p>The international opening keynote for the conference is Amir Khan, co-founder of Viptela, an Internet networking company that was acquired by global giant Cisco last year for 800million dollars. Khan will share his experiences of the last two decades and what he sees in the near future.</p>

<p>Will Charnock, co-founder of Packet Fabric, in his closing keynote will take a future view of the evolution in networking technologies. Charnock previously built much of the network for Soft Layer, which was acquired by IBM in 2008.</p>

<p>The local keynote will be presented by Dr Mahabir Pun, well known Internet and wireless technology leader. Dr Pun will talk about how he envisions the smart cities of the future may look like.</p>

<p>The event started with five days of pre-conference workshops on February 19, and will conclude on February 28 with the closing ceremony. After the conclusion of the workshops, the event will continue with the conference and tutorials including topics such as DNSSEC, Secure Routing, Software Defined Networking (SDN) and Network Function Virtualization (NFV) on the technical side. Non-technical discussion on cross border co-operation, and enhancing government and Internet community co-operation will also take place.</p>

<p>The first meeting of the Joint Project Monitoring Committee (JPMC) of the Terai Roads Project was held at the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport in Kathmandu on February 21.</p>

<p>The JPMC undertook joint inspection of the progress of different roads in Biratnagar and Jankapur districts on February 19-20, reads a statement issued by the Embassy of India.</p>

<p>&ldquo;Both the sides are implementing these projects as per mutually agreed &lsquo;Government of India-funded and Government of Nepal-implemented&rsquo; modalities,&rdquo; reads the statement.</p>

<p>During the meeting and the joint inspection, the consultant for the Project National Highway Infrastructure Development Corporation Ltd (NHIDCL) briefed the delegates about the progress achieved in the Terai Roads project so far.</p>

<p>According to the Indian Embassy, the Nepali side agreed to take necessary steps to resolve issues related to land acquisition, forest clearance and removal of other encumbrances so that the project is completed in time.</p>

<p>India expressed its belief that the completion of Terai Roads Project would facilitate faster and convenient movement of people as well as goods and services across the regions of Nepal.</p>

<p>The meeting was co-chaired by Deependra Nath Sharma, the Secretary at the Ministry of Urban Development of Nepal, and the Secretary for Border Management of the Government of India, Braj Raj Sharma, the Indian Embassy said in a statement.</p>

<p>During the meeting, the consultant for the Project, RITES Ltd, briefed the delegates about the progress achieved in the construction of the ICPs at Birgunj and Biratnagar so far.</p>

<p>RITES Ltd also updated the PSC on the preparations for the construction of ICPs at Bhairahawa and Nepalgunj.</p>

<p>According to the statement, India and Nepal had signed a MoU for the construction of the ICPs at four cross-border points along the India&ndash;Nepal border. In the first phase, the construction of ICPs at Raxaul&ndash;Birgunj as well as Jogbani&ndash;Biratnagar was taken up. The ICPs will have state&ndash;of&ndash;the&ndash;art facilities, integrated customs and immigration services etc for smooth cross&ndash;border movement of goods and services as well as passenger traffic, the statement further said.</p>

<p>The visiting delegates commended the country for its progress on promoting inclusion and gender equality as well as building resilience, improving livelihoods and the work on post-earthquake recovery. The objective of their visit to Nepal was to monitor the results achieved by UNDP in implementing projects contributing to the country&rsquo;s development.</p>

<p>The delegates visited several UNDP projects implemented in partnership with local governments, CSOs and communities in Kaski and Gorkha, and interacted with provincial assembly members to exchange experience related to parliamentary democracy, UNDP said in a statement. The parliamentarians also met with representatives of development partners in Nepal, the National Human Rights Commission and other high-level officials, including the Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.</p>

<p>&ldquo;To transform Sweden from one of the poorest countries in Europe 100 years ago when 25 percent of the population emigrated due to poverty, to where we are today, we invested heavily in strong institutions as well as in inclusive social welfare reforms. There is a need to invest in opportunities for youth and women and when I spoke to the people in the communities we met, I feel hopeful for the future of the country,&rdquo; said Marie-Louise R&ouml;nnmark from the Social Democratic Party, the ruling party of Sweden.</p>

<p>Sweden is one of the few countries in the world spending as much as 1percent of Gross National Income (GNI) on official development assistance (ODA), exceeding the official 0.7 percent OECD target. In 2018, the Government of Sweden will be contributing $5.4bn for ODA, focusing on gender equality, climate change/climate resilience and peace building as well as human rights and democracy as key priority areas. Sweden is also one of UNDP&rsquo;s top core donors. In 2017, Sweden was the third largest core donor to UNDP and in 2018 UNDP will receive around US$78 million from the Swedish government for projects across the globe.</p>

<p>The delegates, who observed the on-going reconstruction and recovery work in Gorkha, appreciated the progress made so far while at the same time underscoring the need for continued support. Sweden pledged USD10m for the earthquake response.</p>

<p>Shedding light on the importance of the visit, Renaud Meyer, Country Director of UNDP in Nepal said, &ldquo;Sweden is among the top five core contributors to UNDP. The taxpayers&rsquo; money that they provide generously to UNDP is used all over the world, including here in Nepal. It is important that we also show the parliamentarians, who are responsible to their constituencies, the results that we produce in the field.&rdquo;</p>

<p>The visiting delegation included six parliamentarians representing different political parties, from both ruling and opposition parties: namely, Emma Nohr&eacute;n, Kerstin Lundgren, Margareta Cederfeldt, Marie-Louise R&ouml;nnmark, Markus Wiechel and Tina Acketoft.</p>

<p>Will Charnock, co-founder of Packet Fabric, in his closing keynote will take a future view of the evolution in networking technologies. Charnock previously built much of the network for Soft Layer, which was acquired by IBM in 2008.</p>

<p>The local keynote will be presented by Dr Mahabir Pun, well known Internet and wireless technology leader. Dr Pun will talk about how he envisions the smart cities of the future may look like.</p>

<p>The event started with five days of pre-conference workshops on February 19, and will conclude on February 28 with the closing ceremony. After the conclusion of the workshops, the event will continue with the conference and tutorials including topics such as DNSSEC, Secure Routing, Software Defined Networking (SDN) and Network Function Virtualization (NFV) on the technical side. <p>According to the Indian Embassy, the Nepali side agreed to take necessary steps to resolve issues related to land acquisition, forest clearance and removal of other encumbrances so that the project is completed in time.</p>

<p>Sweden is one of the few countries in the world spending as much as 1percent of Gross National Income (GNI) on official development assistance (ODA), exceeding the official 0.7 percent OECD target. In 2018, the Government of Sweden will be contributing $5.4bn for ODA, focusing on gender equality, climate change/climate resilience and peace building as well as human rights and democracy as key priority areas. Sweden is also one of UNDP&rsquo;s top core donors. In 2017, Sweden was the third largest core donor to UNDP and in 2018 UNDP will receive around US$78 million from the Swedish government for projects across the globe.</p>

<p>The delegates, who observed the on-going reconstruction and recovery work in Gorkha, appreciated the progress made so far while at the same time underscoring the need for continued support. Sweden pledged USD10m for the earthquake response.</p>

<p>Shedding light on the importance of the visit, Renaud Meyer, Country Director of UNDP in Nepal said, &ldquo;Sweden is among the top five core contributors to UNDP. The taxpayers&rsquo; money that they provide generously to UNDP is used all over the world, including here in Nepal. It is important that we also show the parliamentarians, who are responsible to their constituencies, the results that we produce in the field.&rdquo;</p>

Attendees from 65 countries and economies are expected before the event concludes on February 28. <p>Will Charnock, co-founder of Packet Fabric, in his closing keynote will take a future view of the evolution in networking technologies. Charnock previously built much of the network for Soft Layer, which was acquired by IBM in 2008.</p>

<p>The local keynote will be presented by Dr Mahabir Pun, well known Internet and wireless technology leader. Dr Pun will talk about how he envisions the smart cities of the future may look like.</p>

<p>The event started with five days of pre-conference workshops on February 19, and will conclude on February 28 with the closing ceremony. After the conclusion of the workshops, the event will continue with the conference and tutorials including topics such as DNSSEC, Secure Routing, Software Defined Networking (SDN) and Network Function Virtualization (NFV) on the technical side. <p>The first meeting of the Joint Project Monitoring Committee (JPMC) of the Terai Roads Project was held at the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport in Kathmandu on February 21.</p>

<p>The JPMC undertook joint inspection of the progress of different roads in Biratnagar and Jankapur districts on February 19-20, reads a statement issued by the Embassy of India.</p>

<p>&ldquo;Both the sides are implementing these projects as per mutually agreed &lsquo;Government of India-funded and Government of Nepal-implemented&rsquo; modalities,&rdquo; reads the statement.</p>

<p>During the meeting and the joint inspection, the consultant for the Project National Highway Infrastructure Development Corporation Ltd (NHIDCL) briefed the delegates about the progress achieved in the Terai Roads project so far.</p>

<p>According to the Indian Embassy, the Nepali side agreed to take necessary steps to resolve issues related to land acquisition, forest clearance and removal of other encumbrances so that the project is completed in time.</p>

<p>India expressed its belief that the completion of Terai Roads Project would facilitate faster and convenient movement of people as well as goods and services across the regions of Nepal.</p>

<p>According to the Kathmandu-based Indian Embassy, the decision was taken during the 8<sup>th</sup> meeting of Nepal-India Project Steering Committee (PSC) for the construction of the ICPs held in New Delhi on February 22.</p>

<p>The meeting was co-chaired by Deependra Nath Sharma, the Secretary at the Ministry of Urban Development of Nepal, and the Secretary for Border Management of the Government of India, Braj Raj Sharma, the Indian Embassy said in a statement.</p>

<p>During the meeting, the consultant for the Project, RITES Ltd, briefed the delegates about the progress achieved in the construction of the ICPs at Birgunj and Biratnagar so far.</p>

<p>RITES Ltd also updated the PSC on the preparations for the construction of ICPs at Bhairahawa and Nepalgunj.</p>

<p>According to the statement, India and Nepal had signed a MoU for the construction of the ICPs at four cross-border points along the India&ndash;Nepal border. In the first phase, the construction of ICPs at Raxaul&ndash;Birgunj as well as Jogbani&ndash;Biratnagar was taken up. The ICPs will have state&ndash;of&ndash;the&ndash;art facilities, integrated customs and immigration services etc for smooth cross&ndash;border movement of goods and services as well as passenger traffic, the statement further said.</p>

The objective of their visit to Nepal was to monitor the results achieved by UNDP in implementing projects contributing to the country&rsquo;s development.</p>

<p>The delegates visited several UNDP projects implemented in partnership with local governments, CSOs and communities in Kaski and Gorkha, and interacted with provincial assembly members to exchange experience related to parliamentary democracy, UNDP said in a statement. The parliamentarians also met with representatives of development partners in Nepal, the National Human Rights Commission and other high-level officials, including the Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.</p>

<p>&ldquo;To transform Sweden from one of the poorest countries in Europe 100 years ago when 25 percent of the population emigrated due to poverty, to where we are today, we invested heavily in strong institutions as well as in inclusive social welfare reforms. <p>Sweden is one of the few countries in the world spending as much as 1percent of Gross National Income (GNI) on official development assistance (ODA), exceeding the official 0.7 percent OECD target. In 2018, the Government of Sweden will be contributing $5.4bn for ODA, focusing on gender equality, climate change/climate resilience and peace building as well as human rights and democracy as key priority areas. Sweden is also one of UNDP&rsquo;s top core donors. In 2017, Sweden was the third largest core donor to UNDP and in 2018 UNDP will receive around US$78 million from the Swedish government for projects across the globe.</p>

<p>The delegates, who observed the on-going reconstruction and recovery work in Gorkha, appreciated the progress made so far while at the same time underscoring the need for continued support. Sweden pledged USD10m for the earthquake response.</p>

<p>Shedding light on the importance of the visit, Renaud Meyer, Country Director of UNDP in Nepal said, &ldquo;Sweden is among the top five core contributors to UNDP. The taxpayers&rsquo; money that they provide generously to UNDP is used all over the world, including here in Nepal. It is important that we also show the parliamentarians, who are responsible to their constituencies, the results that we produce in the field.&rdquo;</p>

<p>The visiting delegation included six parliamentarians representing different political parties, from both ruling and opposition parties: namely, Emma Nohr&eacute;n, Kerstin Lundgren, Margareta Cederfeldt, Marie-Louise R&ouml;nnmark, Markus Wiechel and Tina Acketoft.</p>

<p>Large groups of participants from Australia, New Zealand, Japan, China, Singapore, USA and UK have already arrived for the event which kicked off on February 19. Attendees from 65 countries and economies are expected before the event concludes on February 28. Some of the attendees are arriving from as far as South Africa and Uruguay in South America.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The first phase of the event, which included training from experts, concluded with 190 trainees gaining hands-on experience on Internet of Things (IoT), Security, Network Management and Routing.</p>

<p>The formal opening of the event will happen on the 25<sup>th</sup> of February. Kathmandu Mayor,BidyaSundarShakya, will open the event by formally welcoming the global participants to the capital city.</p>

<p>The hosts and organizers are excited about the large number of foreign participants, as it demonstrates global confidence in attending major events in Nepal.</p>

<p>The event is supported by the Nepal Telecommunications Authority in the public sectorand local IT organizations - Nepal Network Operators Group (NPNOG), Nepal Research and Education Network (NREN), Federation of Computer Associations of Nepal (FCAN) and the Internet Society (Nepal Chapter).&nbsp; Global companies including Google, Facebook, Equinix, VeriSign, DE-CIX, Netflix, Telstra, LINX, Airtel, Juniper, Amazon Web Servicesand others are sponsors for the event.</p>

<p>The international opening keynote for the conference is Amir Khan, co-founder of Viptela, an Internet networking company that was acquired by global giant Cisco last year for 800million dollars. Khan will share his experiences of the last two decades and what he sees in the near future.</p>

<p>Will Charnock, co-founder of Packet Fabric, in his closing keynote will take a future view of the evolution in networking technologies. Charnock previously built much of the network for Soft Layer, which was acquired by IBM in 2008.</p>

<p>The local keynote will be presented by Dr Mahabir Pun, well known Internet and wireless technology leader. Dr Pun will talk about how he envisions the smart cities of the future may look like.</p>

<p>The event started with five days of pre-conference workshops on February 19, and will conclude on February 28 with the closing ceremony. After the conclusion of the workshops, the event will continue with the conference and tutorials including topics such as DNSSEC, Secure Routing, Software Defined Networking (SDN) and Network Function Virtualization (NFV) on the technical side. Non-technical discussion on cross border co-operation, and enhancing government and Internet community co-operation will also take place.</p>

<p>According to the Indian Embassy, the Nepali side agreed to take necessary steps to resolve issues related to land acquisition, forest clearance and removal of other encumbrances so that the project is completed in time.</p>

<p>India expressed its belief that the completion of Terai Roads Project would facilitate faster and convenient movement of people as well as goods and services across the regions of Nepal.</p>

<p>According to the statement, India and Nepal had signed a MoU for the construction of the ICPs at four cross-border points along the India&ndash;Nepal border. <p>The delegates visited several UNDP projects implemented in partnership with local governments, CSOs and communities in Kaski and Gorkha, and interacted with provincial assembly members to exchange experience related to parliamentary democracy, UNDP said in a statement. The parliamentarians also met with representatives of development partners in Nepal, the National Human Rights Commission and other high-level officials, including the Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.</p>

<p>&ldquo;To transform Sweden from one of the poorest countries in Europe 100 years ago when 25 percent of the population emigrated due to poverty, to where we are today, we invested heavily in strong institutions as well as in inclusive social welfare reforms. <p>Sweden is one of the few countries in the world spending as much as 1percent of Gross National Income (GNI) on official development assistance (ODA), exceeding the official 0.7 percent OECD target. In 2018, the Government of Sweden will be contributing $5.4bn for ODA, focusing on gender equality, climate change/climate resilience and peace building as well as human rights and democracy as key priority areas. Sweden is also one of UNDP&rsquo;s top core donors. In 2017, Sweden was the third largest core donor to UNDP and in 2018 UNDP will receive around US$78 million from the Swedish government for projects across the globe.</p>

<p>The delegates, who observed the on-going reconstruction and recovery work in Gorkha, appreciated the progress made so far while at the same time underscoring the need for continued support. Sweden pledged USD10m for the earthquake response.</p>

<p>Shedding light on the importance of the visit, Renaud Meyer, Country Director of UNDP in Nepal said, &ldquo;Sweden is among the top five core contributors to UNDP. The taxpayers&rsquo; money that they provide generously to UNDP is used all over the world, including here in Nepal. It is important that we also show the parliamentarians, who are responsible to their constituencies, the results that we produce in the field.&rdquo;</p>
