<p>Issuing a press statement, Thai Airways said it started first flight to this Himalayan nation on December 4, 1968 to become the first-ever passenger jet service airline to introduce Nepal to the rest of the world.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p>&ldquo;Thai Airways operated once a week flight in the beginning which soon increased to additional flights due to high demand.&nbsp; From October 1997, it started daily flights with A300-800 aircraft and introduced B777-200 from November 1998 to support visit Nepal Year 1998 which continues till date,&rdquo; reads the statement.</p>

<p>During the journey of these 50 glorious years, Thai Airways said it has created many milestones. In February 1985, Thai Airways became the first airlines to introduce computerized reservation system in Kathmandu and provided this facility to its leading travel agents from 1990.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The airline said it has also been carrying out uninterrupted and regular CSR activities like blood donation every year on July 31, yearly cataract surgery camps, cardio check-up and health camps, and stationary distributions to orphanage schools, reads the statement.&nbsp;</p>

<p>During Monday&rsquo;s function, Thai Airways gave away token of appreciation to the Royal Thai Embassy in Nepal, Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal, Tribhuvan International Airport, Nabil Bank and Hotel Annapurna. Thai Airways has also felicitated the top three finalists of Miss Nepal.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Thai Airways said it is going to celebrate its golden jubilee in Kathmandu throughout 2018 with various promotional activities and also join hands with co-partners in many more activities.&nbsp;</p>

<p>&ldquo;Thai Airways operated once a week flight in the beginning which soon increased to additional flights due to high demand.&nbsp; From October 1997, it started daily flights with A300-800 aircraft and introduced B777-200 from November 1998 to support visit Nepal Year 1998 which continues till date,&rdquo; reads the statement.</p>

<p>During the journey of these 50 glorious years, Thai Airways said it has created many milestones. In February 1985, Thai Airways became the first airlines to introduce computerized reservation system in Kathmandu and provided this facility to its leading travel agents from 1990.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The airline said it has also been carrying out uninterrupted and regular CSR activities like blood donation every year on July 31, yearly cataract surgery camps, cardio check-up and health camps, and stationary distributions to orphanage schools, reads the statement.&nbsp;</p>

<p>During Monday&rsquo;s function, Thai Airways gave away token of appreciation to the Royal Thai Embassy in Nepal, Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal, Tribhuvan International Airport, Nabil Bank and Hotel Annapurna. Thai Airways has also felicitated the top three finalists of Miss Nepal.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Issuing a press statement, Thai Airways said it started first flight to this Himalayan nation on December 4, 1968 to become the first-ever passenger jet service airline to introduce Nepal to the rest of the world.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p>&ldquo;Thai Airways operated once a week flight in the beginning which soon increased to additional flights due to high demand.&nbsp; From October 1997, it started daily flights with A300-800 aircraft and introduced B777-200 from November 1998 to support visit Nepal Year 1998 which continues till date,&rdquo; reads the statement.</p>

<p>During the journey of these 50 glorious years, Thai Airways said it has created many milestones. In February 1985, Thai Airways became the first airlines to introduce computerized reservation system in Kathmandu and provided this facility to its leading travel agents from 1990.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The airline said it has also been carrying out uninterrupted and regular CSR activities like blood donation every year on July 31, yearly cataract surgery camps, cardio check-up and health camps, and stationary distributions to orphanage schools, reads the statement.&nbsp;</p>

<p>During Monday&rsquo;s function, Thai Airways gave away token of appreciation to the Royal Thai Embassy in Nepal, Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal, Tribhuvan International Airport, Nabil Bank and Hotel Annapurna. Thai Airways has also felicitated the top three finalists of Miss Nepal.&nbsp;</p>

Imbibing with the spirit of this ritual, the hotel gave continuity to this tradition this year as well by decorating ginger bread house, cutting cookies and inaugurating a wish tree, reads a press statement issued by the hotel.</p>

<p>The wish tree was set up to support the underprivileged children of Bal Mandir, the statement said. The children were asked to write down their wishes and place it at the tree. The hotel has requested its guests to fulfill the wishes of the children, giving them a feeling that their wishes were fulfilled by Santa Claus.</p>

<p>The hotel informed that the season making and baking commemorates the tradition of making decorated gingerbread houses and cookies cutting which began in Germany about 200 years ago.</p>

<p>After the publication of the renowned Brothers&rsquo; Grimm fairy tale Hansel and Gretel, German bakers began creating ornamental houses made from gingerbread. The culture soon spread to other countries and is given continuity by Christians across the globe.</p>

<p>Issuing a press statement, Thai Airways said it started first flight to this Himalayan nation on December 4, 1968 to become the first-ever passenger jet service airline to introduce Nepal to the rest of the world.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p>&ldquo;Thai Airways operated once a week flight in the beginning which soon increased to additional flights due to high demand.&nbsp; From October 1997, it started daily flights with A300-800 aircraft and introduced B777-200 from November 1998 to support visit Nepal Year 1998 which continues till date,&rdquo; reads the statement.</p>

<p>During the journey of these 50 glorious years, Thai Airways said it has created many milestones. In February 1985, Thai Airways became the first airlines to introduce computerized reservation system in Kathmandu and provided this facility to its leading travel agents from 1990.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The airline said it has also been carrying out uninterrupted and regular CSR activities like blood donation every year on July 31, yearly cataract surgery camps, cardio check-up and health camps, and stationary distributions to orphanage schools, reads the statement.&nbsp;</p>

<p>During Monday&rsquo;s function, Thai Airways gave away token of appreciation to the Royal Thai Embassy in Nepal, Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal, Tribhuvan International Airport, Nabil Bank and Hotel Annapurna. Thai Airways has also felicitated the top three finalists of Miss Nepal.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Season making and baking prior to Christmas is believed to be a harbinger of good tidings and happiness. Imbibing with the spirit of this ritual, the hotel gave continuity to this tradition this year as well by decorating ginger bread house, cutting cookies and inaugurating a wish tree, reads a press statement issued by the hotel.</p>

<p>The wish tree was set up to support the underprivileged children of Bal Mandir, the statement said. The children were asked to write down their wishes and place it at the tree. The hotel has requested its guests to fulfill the wishes of the children, giving them a feeling that their wishes were fulfilled by Santa Claus.</p>

<p>The hotel informed that the season making and baking commemorates the tradition of making decorated gingerbread houses and cookies cutting which began in Germany about 200 years ago.</p>

<p>After the publication of the renowned Brothers&rsquo; Grimm fairy tale Hansel and Gretel, German bakers began creating ornamental houses made from gingerbread. The culture soon spread to other countries and is given continuity by Christians across the globe.</p>
