Amending the unified directives on Tuesday (June 6), the central bank reduced the facilities and exemptions given to commercial banks opting for merger and acquisition but extended the deadline. As per the new provision, banks that initiated the merger process but could not start integrated transaction can do so by the end of the current fiscal year.</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-size:18px"><span style="font-family:Calibri,"sans-serif"">They can still enjoy six types of offers given by the central bank if they start integrated transactions by mid-July 2023.</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-size:18px"><span style="font-family:Calibri,"sans-serif"">If the integrated business is started within the given timeframe, the banks will get one-year extension for providing loans in the specified areas. This marks the 12th time the bank has hiked rates since May last year and has been the highest the interest rate for the past 11 years.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:18px">Mortgage owners have been hit with a 400 basis point hike in the space of a year in what has been hailed as the fastest tightening cycle on record, as inflation stays stubbornly high. This marks the 12th time the bank has hiked rates since May last year and has been the highest the interest rate for the past 11 years.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:18px">Mortgage owners have been hit with a 400 basis point hike in the space of a year in what has been hailed as the fastest tightening cycle on record, as inflation stays stubbornly high. This marks the 12th time the bank has hiked rates since May last year and has been the highest the interest rate for the past 11 years.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:18px">Mortgage owners have been hit with a 400 basis point hike in the space of a year in what has been hailed as the fastest tightening cycle on record, as inflation stays stubbornly high. This marks the 12th time the bank has hiked rates since May last year and has been the highest the interest rate for the past 11 years.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:18px">Mortgage owners have been hit with a 400 basis point hike in the space of a year in what has been hailed as the fastest tightening cycle on record, as inflation stays stubbornly high. Exporting 10,000 megawatt of power in 10 years to India is a welcome step, said IPPAN. </span><br /> <span style="font-family:"Arial Unicode MS","sans-serif"">Chairperson of IPPAN Krishna Prasad Acharya said, "PM Dahal’s Indian counterpart Narendra Modi has also raised this issue with equal importance during a joint press conference during the PM's India visit." </span><br /> <span style="font-family:"Arial Unicode MS","sans-serif"">The IPPAN has also expressed its pleasure for the government’s announcement to take the private sector on board for energy trade through the upcoming fiscal year's budget and policies and programmes. </span><br /> <span style="font-family:"Arial Unicode MS","sans-serif"">The IPPAN concluded that the route has been clear for major reforms and improvement in the energy sector as the government has given license for the developers and the international market of the power is also guaranteed. </span><br /> <span style="font-family:"Arial Unicode MS","sans-serif"">Acharya stated that now the government should immediately give approval for power purchase since the foundation for power trade has been built.</span></span></span></p> <p><span style="font-size:11pt"><span style="font-family:Calibri,"sans-serif""><span style="font-family:"Arial Unicode MS","sans-serif""> "A historic agreement has been signed during Prime Minister Dahal’s India visit.
