Everest Bank’s Branch in Dhading
Everest Bank Ltd has opened its 52nd branch in Dhading Beshi. The branch also has an ATM in its premises which is the 74th ATM of the Bank. According to the Bank, the new branch is connected on line with all the branches of the Bank in the country, and also with more than 6000 branches of Punjab National Bank in India, the joint-venture partner of the Bank.
Citizens’ 42nd Branch in Thapathali
Citizens Bank International Limited has opened its 42nd branch in Thapathali. The branch was inaugurated by Deputy General Manager of the Bank Ganesh Raj Pokhrel. The branch will offer all the banking services including ATM and locker facility. The Bank has informed that it will soon open branches in Dharan, Bhojpur, Chainpur, Sanoshree and Nijgadh.
Nabil Introduces Smart Fixed Deposit Scheme
Nabil Bank Limited has introduced Smart Fixed Deposit Scheme with new features. Under this scheme, customers do not need to go to the bank for renewal of their fixed deposits. At the time of opening the account, customers will be offered option of automatic renewal. Also, the principle amount will be automatically transferred to the originating account after maturity. Customers can view the details like amount, maturity date and rate of interest of their fixed deposit online and can also get the statement by themselves from internet banking facility. “The fixed deposit scheme is blended with modern technology having smart features to provide efficient banking services to cater banking needs of large and wide spread section of the society. “ said Anil Gyawali, CEO of the Bank.
Siddhartha Bank’s 44th Branch in Dadeldhura
Siddhartha Bank inaugurated its 44th branch at Tufan Danda of Dadeldhura District. The branch was inaugurated by Chief District Officer of Dadeldhura Shiva Raj Joshi. Prior to this, the Bank was serving several VDCs of Dadeldhura district through its branchless banking service Sajilo Banking Sewa. The Bank now has 44 branches, two extension counters, 49 branchless banking locations and 56 ATMs throughout the country.
Civil Bank Wins MasterCard’s Innovation Award
Civil Bank Limited is awarded with Innovation Award by MasterCard International at ‘MasterCard Payments Strategy Workshop 2014’ held recently in India. The Bank won the award under Debit Card category for issuing MasterCard co-branded product ‘Civil Bank Overdraft Card’. “The Overdraft Card is the result of our innovation and continuous effort to benefit our customers. Similar ground breaking products are in the development phase at the Bank,” said CEO of the Bank Kishore Maharjan. The award ceremony was organized by MasterCard in order to recognize excellence and innovation in payments.
NIC Asia Bank in 14 New Locations
NIC Asia Bank has opened 14 new branches throughout the country. Four of the new branches are inside Kathmandu valley and the rest are located outside of Kathmandu. The new branches are in Chandragadi, Biratchowk, Mirchai, Kalaiya, Hetauda, Damauli, Walling, Bhairahawa, Tulsipur, Kohalpur; Balaju, Kapan, Golfutar and Lazimpat. According to the Bank, these branches are opened after re-location of 14 branches which were closed at the time of the merger of NIC Bank and Bank of Asia in June 2013.
Kumari Bank’s ATM at Kalanki
Kumari Bank Limited installed a new ATM at Millennium House, Kalanki on 17th June, 2014. With this, the number of ATMs of the Bank has now reached 40.
