Samsung Galaxy S5 Unveiled

International Marketing Services Private Limited (IMS), the authorised distributor of Samsung mobiles in Nepal has launched Samsung Galaxy S5 in the market. Galaxy S5 features a 16 megapixel camera with the world’s fastest autofocus speed of up to 0.3 seconds. It comes with enhanced S Health 3.0 that offers more tools to help people stay fit and well. It provides a personal fitness tracker to help users monitor and manage their behaviour, along with additional tools including a pedometer, diet and exercise records, and a new built-in heart rate monitor. The Galaxy S5 is dust and water resistant and has a finger scanner. The Ultra Power Saving Mode of S5 turns the display to black and white, and shuts down all unnecessary features to minimize the battery consumption. With the Galaxy S5, the company is giving out a pre activated NTC SIM card with 5 GB of data which can either be used in Samsung Galaxy S5 or any other Samsung devices. Galaxy S5 is also available in EMI from Laxmi Bank, NMB Bank, Global IME Bank and Nabil Bank. IMS has priced S5 at RS 76,000. Along with S5, IMS has also launched new series of Samsung Gears—Gear 2, Gear 2 neo, and Gear Fit with added features. Samsung Gear 2 is priced at Rs 35,000, and Gear 2 Neo and Gear Fit is available at RS 23,000. Galaxy S5 was launched on the same day along with other 150 countries.
Micromax Launches New Handsets

Micromax has added two new models Micromax Canvas Social A94 and Micromax Canvas Power A96 in its series of smartphones. Canvas Social A94 runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS and is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad core processor. The phone comes with a 4.5 inch capacitive touch screen and sports a 5 MP camera with dual LED flash. The phone also has a 5 MP front camera, and comes with an internal storage of 4 GB which is expandable up to 32 GB. The phone supports Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS, and has 1800 mAh. Similarly, Canvas Power A96 is powered by a 1.3 GHz quad core processor, runs on Android 4.2 Jellybean and has a 5 inch touchscreen. It has a 5 MP primary camera with LED flash. The most unique feature of this phone is its 4000 mAh battery.
Free Internet with Colors Mobiles
Colors mobile is offering free internet with its four models of mobile in Xfactor Series. The company is giving 120 MB of free internet for three months with available Xfactor Star 3.5 (X11) and Xfactor Idol 3.5 (X15) which are 3.5 inch screen dual SIM handsets powered by 1 GHz processor. Likewise, 300 MB free internet SIM is offered with Xfactor Star 4.0 (X40) and Xfactor X45 Star. According to the company, the scheme is targeted to SLC and 10+2 graduates. Free internet is provide via Ncell loaded packages where Ncell provides free SIM to everyone who produces vouchers received while buying the phones with the offer.
LinkedIn User Base Crosses 300 mn Mark
Professional networking site LinkedIn has reached a 300 million milestone mark globally with about 100 million members in the US alone. LinkedIn in a statement acknowledged that it was an exciting step towards their vision of creating economic opportunity for every one of the 3.3 billion people in the global workforce. LinkedIn has attributed the increase in membership to the growth of mobile. Over 50 percent of LinkedIn global traffic uses mobile, with more than 15 million profile views, 1.46 million job views and 31,000 job applications in over 200 countries through mobile every day. Hong Kong, along with Malaysia, Netherlands, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Sweden, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates use LinkedIn more on their mobile devices than on their desktop computers. (Agency)
