Coca ColaCoca-Cola Partners With Tenzing Hillary Everest Marathon

Coca-Cola Nepal has partnered with Tenzing Hillary Everest Marathon for the sixth consecutive time. Tenzing Hillary Everest Marathon is the world’s highest marathon and one of the most adventurous trails runs in the world. According to a press release from Coca-Cola Nepal, this partnership is a part of the company’s global commitment towards climate change. The Marathon was held on 29th May and participants from 20 countries had taken part in the marathon route which starts from Everest base camp and will cover a distance of 42 kms, says the release. The Marathon is available in two packages (for corporate non-runners). One is a 13-day trek package till Everest Base Camp priced at Rs 60,000 for one person, Rs 110,000 for two persons, Rs 160,000 for three persons and Rs 200,000 for 4 persons. The second package offers 4-day trek to Namche Bazaar and return to Kathmandu. The package is priced at Rs 45,000 for one person, Rs 84,000 for two persons, Rs 120,000 for three person and Rs 155,000 for four.


Pokhara CitySneha Group to Open New Resorts

Sneha Group of Companies is planning to establish modern resorts in Thakurdwara of Bardiya and Rara of Mugu. Bhawani Rana, President of the company as well as Vice president of FNCCI revealed that the land has already been purchased for the construction of resort in Thakurdwara. 

Resorts are targeted for both domestic and foreign tourists. Rana said, “We have planned to operate the resort within one year.”She informed that the land selection process is not completed yet for Rara. She said, “Around Rs 150 million will be invested for the construction of both resorts and more than 100 people will be get employment opportunity.” 

According to the company, resort will have “Special Herbal Spa Center” and a swimming pool. Local herbs will be used in spa for the promotion of local products. 

Though thousands of people visit Rara National Park annually, they have been suffering in the absence of proper accommodation facilities. This resort would attract more tourists to visit Rara as they can extend their visit with the availability of proper accommodation, Rana added. She said that the pleasant environment and its natural beauty inspired her to establish the resort in Mugu. Rana said that the company has plans to expand its ventures to Kathmandu too.
