IBN Greenlights Rs 100 Billion Investment for Four Key Projects

The Investment Board Nepal (IBN) has sanctioned investments totaling Rs 100 billion for four distinct projects. The 57th meeting of the IBN, held on April 4, approved investments amounting to Rs 100 billion across five projects. These projects include the 166 MW Super Tamor Hydropower Project, the 42MW Upper Modi A Hydropower Project, the 250 MW Solar Energy Project in Kohalpur & Badganga, and the 139.2 MW Lower Manang Marsyangdi Hydropower Project. According to IBN Spokesperson Pradyumna Prasad Upadhyay, the meeting also decided to form a negotiation committee led by the IBN CEO to carry out a project development agreement for the 250 MW solar project and Upper Marsyangdi-2 Hydropower. The meeting also approved the sale and purchase of shares of Dang Cement Industries Pvt Ltd.
