The CIB also summoned Binod’s another sibling, Basanta, for statement. The Chaudhary family has been accused of unlawfully converting 10 ropani (0.5 hectares) of public land, originally belonging to the Bansbari Leather and Shoe Factory, into private ownership. Binod has vehemently denounced the government's ‘politically motivated’ actions, dismissing them as mere theatrics. Addressing the media after providing his statement, Binod said that his character does not require attestation. The Chandbagh School, owned by the Chaudhary Group, now occupies the site where the state-owned Bansbari Leather and Shoe Factory once stood. The property was initially transferred to Chaudhary Group’s Champion Shoe Factory and subsequently to the CG Chandbagh School. </p>
