MAW Vriddhi Autocorp Pvt Ltd, the official importer of Changan cars for Nepal, has unveiled Deepal S07 - the much anticipated intelligent and luxurious electric SUV in the Nepali market. Deepal is the electric vehicle subsidiary of Chinese automobile major Changan. According to MAW Vriddhi Autocorp, Deepal S07 is the first EV in Nepal with four driving modes - ECO, COMFORT, SPORT, and CUSTOMISE. The SUV is built on the EPA1, an EV-dedicated platform, and comes with a Rear rear-wheel drive (RWD) system. It is complemented by a 66.8-kWh battery pack which promises an impressive 410 Km (WLTP) range on a single charge, according to the company.
Designed in Italy's design heritage, Turin, the Deepal S07 introduces many first-time features to the Nepali automobile market. Gesture Recognition Control is one such feature that allows passengers to control music, calls, and even take photos with simple hand gestures. Likewise, to enhance driving safety and comfort, the Augmented Reality Head-Up Display (AR-HUD) in-built in Deepal S07 projects crucial driver information onto the windshield, including real-time navigation overlays. This futuristic luxurious EV is also equipped with a 15.6-inch Sunflower Touchscreen infotainment system, the largest in Nepal, that auto-tilt towards the passenger. Similarly, the driver’s seat automatically adjusts to welcome drivers into a personalised seating position with a touch of luxury and personalization.
The car also features 125 litres of storage space in its 'Frunk' and runs on 20-inch tires which are rich in both aesthetics and performance with better braking and reduced stopping distances. The unique frameless doors and flush handles enhance S07's sleek design and aerodynamic efficiency, while the 14-high quality Sony speakers with Headrest Speakers and Outdoor Speakers make travelling joyful. In addition to these features, the S07 boats of Rear Seat Control for front seat and sunshade, Voice Assistance, and 1.9-square metres sun-shade - the largest in the industry, according to the company.
The car is also loaded with a host of safety features such as intelligent ADAS with interactive adaptive cruise control that interprets road signs, six airbags, Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB), Driver Fatigue Monitoring System (DMS) and Safe Distance Warning (SDW), 360 Camera with Transparent Chassis, Drive Video Recorder and Distraction Warning. Similarly, its Intelligent Scenario Mode enables various various environments inside the car like Nap, Camp, Baby Care, and Music Light Show. Also, the Double-layer Soundproof Glass in the front row, ensuring a serene cabin environment. The Deepal S07 is available for an introductory price of Rs 7.19 million and comes in six exciting shades.
