‘Choosing the Right College’

It is very exciting to receive this award. I firstly would like to congratulate the New Business Age team for doing something very new. As far as business colleges and schools are concerned, it gives us the opportunity to understand where we stand and how far we have yet to go. I think the impact of this event is going to be quite remarkable. Those who have participated will understand where they are and those who have not will understand its importance and look to participate. Students and parents will now have an easier time choosing a college as there are colleges with poor education but good advertising and also better colleges with poor advertising. This program was done with good research to identify the best schools for students to go to. A business school should be chosen on the basis of three points. First is the quality of education - whether it can assure jobs in Nepal or anywhere else in the world. Second is whether such education comes at a reasonable cost. Most of all, students should choose a college where they think they can be happy, learn in class, play and learn a number of extracurricular activities. King’s College has been training its graduates to be capable of working in the real world. Most of the curriculum we are using is international so that our students can be employed outside of Nepal too. King’s college tries to help students to be entrepreneurs and managers who can take innovative decisions and at the same time be capable of taking judicious risks.
