Shanker Dev Campus (SDC) the second most deserving institute in the B-School rating and ranking, is a constituent campus of Tribhuvan University (TU). It is ideally located at the heart of Kathmandu. Shanker Dev Campus has been exclusively offering Management education since its inception. SDC has successfully played the pioneer role in the development of Management Education in Nepal ever since the introduction of National Education System Plan in 1971. It also contains a fountain, a basketball and a volleyball court. Now, SDC family feels proud to find many of its Bachelor and Master’s Degree holders assuming key roles in government offices, various financial institutions, corporations and in private sector. Besides, SDC is conscious of its duty of upholding the image of TU. SDC has housed highly professional, faculty members, who focus in producing the world-class management manpower.

On being asked about the uniqueness of the college Prakash Singh Pradhan replies, “We are the oldest management education campus of Tribhuvan University. Secondly we have a good faculty members contributing to the overall development of the students and we also provide practical knowledge along with theoretical lessons, focusing on the humanitarian aspect.” The campus chief expressed his gratitude and happiness on being the second most recognized B-School in the country. About the future plans of the institute, he says his team wants to make Shanker Dev as an autonomous college so that it can develop its own curriculum.
The college will introduce a new course BBA in Banking, has tied-up with banks, financial institutions and other business circles and urges to produce students as per the need in the market. Concerning the market impact of the award ceremony, Pradhan appreciates the initiation by New Business Age and believes this move will encourage the education institutes to perform even better in the future. The campus chief, advises the students to look for some parameters before seeking admission in any institute like, the quality of education imparted, the practical exposure and the infrastructure of the institute.
