‘Challenge and commitment to be better’
“We have 20, very experienced, seasoned, highly specialized and full time faculty strenght,” says Subas KC the Dean of the institute. KUSOM, being autonomous, does not have to depend on the university for applying any rule in its curriculum. The brand name and image gained over the years helps it to increase its marketability not only nationally but also regionally. Subas KC is both humble and happy to receive the prestigious recognition. He says, “It further increases our responsibility to improve the standards, we accept this challenge and commit to make our school even better than what it is now.”
KUSOM has a 10-year strategic plan (2012-2022). According to these plans, the important targets and milestones are: initiation of a PhD programme, specialization MBA in parallel with the main stream courses, finally to make a fully residential college, part of which is already operational. The KUSOM team is shortly diversifying themselves into management research and consultancy services. “Integrating consulting services, training and management developing programmes will improve the quality of business education”, believes KC.
By 2022, KUSOM aims at being one of the top 20 B-Schools in South Asia. The presence of distinguished business leaders and policy makers as the honourable guests of the B-School Rating-Ranking Awards programme will create a positive perception of business education. This worthy step by New Business Age will create a tremendous marketing capital for the business schools.”
