Recently, I received a farmer’s call from Dhanding. He invited me to visit his goat farm where he has been rearing Boer goats imported from Africa. I was very happy to see his professional skills in goat farming.

It is just an example how the agriculture is being modernized in the recent days. With the modernization of agriculture, it has lured many people who have spirit to initiate entrepreneurship. Be it the eastern part or western, Hilly region or Terai belt, one can witness growing trend of entrepreneurship in agriculture. I think agriculture helps boost economy and lead us to the prosperity.

Further, I firmly believe that there is silver lining in Nepali economy. Our future is not dark but we have to tap our potentials. Vision and conviction in the political arena are very essential to drive country on a right path. Economic growth is possible if our political leadership is ready not to obstruct economic activities just for their vested interest and short term benefits.

I see the bright economic prospects because economic activities have taken off in this country. Service sector has been expanded and investors have been attracted to invest in manufacturing sector too. Hydro projects have brought new hopes to the entire business community.

The consciousness of general public about entrepreneurship has increased and one of the best part is youth population is very enthusiastic to begin entrepreneurship.

Market has swollen steeply in the last decade and it has created multiple opportunities for everyone. Similarly, the country can change its face if the government can ensure proper policy to utilise remittance money.
In my opinion, the state should create stable policies to attract private sector to propel economic prosperity.

Economic issues were largely neglected until some years back but the situation has been changed now. I think, political parties have been compelled to prioritise economic issues now and the economy has remained as a core issue in the global scene too. We are not very far from economic prosperity if these facts are realized by concerned stakeholders.
