Media Convergence

NBA April Feedback
The new sources of complexity and uncertainty are seen in the new media. It is seen that the media industry is being pessimistic about the changes in media and its impact on the media business and model. There are many opportunities emerging from media business. Media owners also need to determine the relative importance of advertising to their business. The market too seems to be complex because different consumer patterns emerge. But the reality is, new media will go along with old media behaviour offering consumers with various choices.

Informative Magazine

I think New Business Age should be one of its kind business magazines in Nepal. Articles are so informative and bring this small nation in sync with the rest of the world. I always thought Nepal is one of the most neglected parts of the world. Happy for my distant Maithil relatives in Nepal.

Room to Improve

The Look of the New Business Age magazines is very good. What a roundup of advertisers! However the copy editing needs tightening. Copy in some stories seems translated from local news, or written by a person who’s thinking in another language and contains some base errors. Overall however, the construct, background and work in stories are solid. The team has its heart in the right place.
The layout can be made much brighter. Quite a few stories appear in pages with a dull gray background. If this is to differentiate the content in any way, then okay, else brighter colours would make things livelier. Overall, it contains a lot of breadth of content, and a lot of content just overall. You might want to look at having some infographics to cut the sheer river of text.

Holistic Education

Holistic Education
Holistic education basically helps students to find identity and purpose in life by connecting to the community, nature and humanitarian value as a whole. This kind of study also helps them to face the challenges that come up in the life. Though, this education is considered to be very effective to understand human affairs, some argue that such spiritual education is not important for today’s competitive world. Thus, holistic education is mostly considered as costly, requires more skilled teachers and various curricular activities.

MBA is not for everyone

Being an MBA student means you are being taught one right answer for one problem. It points out your attribute of who you are, offering your perspectives and experiences to your networking targets. MBA is all about collection of your skills, abilities, successes, failures, fears, dreams and hopes. Getting an MBA degree is certainly to have a horse in the race but at the end, the most important degree one need to possess is Human University.

Mahakumbh: Mahamarket

It takes great ‘entrepreneur skills’ to see business prospects at a truly religious event of Mahakumbh. Obviously, it is one of the largest events where millions of people visit. And people also mean market for doing business. A religious event need not mean a market for only holy products. Therefore the Mahakumbh was also a market for products ranging from fashion accessories such as jewellery and hair accessories for women to herbal medicines and religious souvenirs. Similarly, the management of the entire event could also be a source of knowledge about management. After all managing such a large event where millions of pilgrims flock takes great management skills and mantras to make it happen successfully.
