Honda Cars Nepal has launched the 5th Generation Honda City in the domestic market. Issuing a press statement, the company said that the new model is powered by the ‘naturally-aspirated’ 1.5L i-VTEC DOHC petrol engine with VTC and a 6-speed manual transmission to produce 121 bhp of peak power and 145 Nm of torque. “The BS6-compliant engine offers power-packed performance and excellent fuel-efficiency,” reads the statement. According to the statement, the 5th generation Honda City comes with a newly designed platform having enhanced lightweight, high rigidity, and collision safety structure offering advanced safety equivalent to ASEAN N-CAP 5-star rating.
The new Honda sedan is 4,549 mm long and 1,748 mm wide and has wheelbase of 2,600 mm. Other features of the car include full LED headlamps and Z- shaped wrap-around LED tail lamps, reads the statement.
The 5th Generation Honda City comes with a new dashboard layout with black and beige dual colour combination and has spacious and comfortable cabin. It comes with a 20.3 cm advanced touch screen display audio, seamless smartphone connectivity with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, Weblink and one-touch electric sunroof, among others.
The safety features of the car include 6 airbags, vehicle stability assists, ABS with EBD, 17.7 cm HD full-color TFT meter with G-meter, LaneWatch camera, Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA) with Agile Handling Assist (AHA), hill-start assist and 3-point seatbelts for all 5 seats with pretensioner and load limiter.
Honda Cars Nepal has launched two variants of the 5th generation City- VX CVT and ZX CVT. According to the company, VX CVT is priced at Rs 6.59 million and ZX CVT is available at Rs 6.99 million.
