There are various projections about availability of petroleum under the Nepali soil. Nepal is said to be the young geography. So, some experts brush the aside possibility of finding petroleum in Nepal. Meanwhile, some experts have predicted possibilities of finding petroleum in the plains of Nepal. Some studies have been carried out but as of now, it has not been explored. More detailed and extensive studies need to be carried out to be certain about the prospects of finding petroleum in Nepal.
