According to the company, Stewart-Cox will be overseeing the business and operations of Cathay Pacific and Dragonair in the three regions from his base in Mumbai, India. Thomas Bellamy will continue as the company’s Manager for Nepal and will be based in Kathmandu, a statement said.<br />

Cathay Pacific Airways on January 21 announced that Charlie Stewart-Cox had been appointed the airline’s General Manager (GM) for South Asia, the Middle East and Africa with effect from the same day. According to the company, Stewart-Cox will be overseeing the business and operations of Cathay Pacific and Dragonair in the three regions from his base in Mumbai, India. Thomas Bellamy will continue as the company’s Manager for Nepal and will be based in Kathmandu, a statement said.<br />

Stewart – Cox replaced Tom Wright, who retired from the position after 27 years of service with the Cathay Pacific Group. Previously, Stewart-Cox was GM (In-flight Services), a post he took up in September 2007. He was in charge of managing Cathay Pacific’s Inflight services portfolio, with responsibility for the airline’s cabin crew and Inflight service development. He was also responsible for ensuring a smooth and efficient operation and maintaining a robust safety management system within the Inflight Services Department. Stewart-Cox joined the Cathay Pacific Group in September 1982. He was overseeing Cathay Pacific and Dragonair’s passenger and cargo operations in South Asia, the Middle East & Africa since then until 20 January 2013.<br />
