I went through the Buddha’s Delight column New Biz May 2013 ‘Guilty Until Proven Innocent’’. I am happy that the writer brought up an important issue in his column. We need to do away with our tendency to blame the victim of a crime. I am glad that the writer has shed light on a pressing issue, citing examples from the Mahabharata and the Ramayana.
I agree with the writer that empowering women with more choices and freedom is crucial for a better society. Women really are the key to economic growth, social development and environmental sustainability. And for that, everyone in the society -- men or women -- should first change their mindsets. Like you said ‘Each one of us must redefine our thought process.’
