As the fierce competition of mid-range smartphones rages on with the global and regional manufacturers focusing on the mid-segment with their impressive products, world handset leader Samsung has arrived with yet another phone- Galaxy J7. The phone packs some notable features and several innovations for Nepali gadget lovers. 

Though being a mid-range handset, the new edition of Galaxy J7, recently launched in the Nepali market, betters the previous benchmark set by the 2015 edition and elevates experience of users to the next level. Looking quite distinct from the J7 (2015) edition, the new J7 is fashions a sleek metal frame with a diamond cut finish. Likewise, the back panel with metal finish gives the handset a premium look and feel.

Users who look for cost-effective internet experience need not to worry about background data consumption as J7 comes with Ultra Data Saving Mode (UDS).  Developed in the Samsung’s R&D Center, the USD allows users to save up to 50 percent data through compression technology and by restricting background data consumption from applications.

Similarly, the phone also incorporates another striking feature called S Bike Mode. Switching on the S bike mode on riding will automatically let the callers know that the user of the phone is riding motorbike and is unavailable to take calls. The feature is likely to come very handy for Nepali smartphone users many of whom ride motorbike and are prone to face difficulties regarding the answering of incoming calls while riding.  However, callers have the option to press 1 in case of the emergency with which the rider has to stop to answer the call. It works with the in-built motion lock system which lets users to pick up the call only after they have stopped their bikes safely. 

The new Galaxy J7 has a 5.5 inch HD Super AMOLED screen with 267 ppi pixel density. Despite having an average resolution, the sunlight legibility of the phone’s display is good due to the high contrast and bright Super AMOLED screen.

 Powered by 1.6 GHz Octa-Core Exynos processor, the dual-SIM 169 grams phone comes with 2 GB RAM and 16 GB ROM. The storage can be expanded up to 128 GB by using micro-SD card. Be it for multitasking or gaming, the handset offer top-in-the-line computing experience to its users. 

On the power backup front, J7 performs impressively with a removable 3,300 mAh battery. The phone features Ultra Power Saving (UPS) supported by Smart Manager that keep the handset running even with minimal amount of power. 

Running on Android 6.0 Marshmallow, Samsung J7 sports superior camera system. Its 13MP rear camera with f/1.9 aperture captures detailed and sharp images. Even in the low light environments, the images are remarkable in quality. The snapper comes with features like auto, beauty face, continuous shot, High Dynamic Range (HDR), interval shot, night, panorama, pro, sports and sound and shot. Similarly, the 5MP front camera with LED-flash includes features like Wide Selfie offering best selfies to the users. 

Available in gold, black and white colours, the new edition of Samsung Galaxy J7 is priced Rs 27,990 in Nepal.
