Kansai Nerolac Paints
Having entered the market just three years ago, Kansai Nerolac paints has, in a very short period of time, become the fastest growing commercial paint company in the country with sales almost reaching the Rs 950 million mark annually.
And in the upcoming festive season, the company is looking forward to introducing its world class technology in paints to newer customers. “Business is naturally high during Dashain and we are looking forward to exploring the festive season,” says Satya Prakash, Country Head of Kansai Nerolac Paints.
Festive Offers
To keep ahead of its rivals, Kansai Nerolac is introducing High Definition, or HD, paint products for the upcoming festive season. This will make it the first company in Nepal to introduce HD colour paints. According to Prakash, customers will get to see what HD colours will look like on the walls of their homes.
For those willing to splash the cash, then spending Rs 25,000 on Kansai Nerolac Paints products will open the door to special prizes, ranging from a trip abroad to household goods. “No customer will be left disappointed,” says Satya Prakash. "If a customer spends Rs 25,000 or more they will definitely win a prize."
About the Company
Kansai Nerolac Paints Nepal is a subsidiary of Kansai Nerolac Paints Ltd, India which is owned and governed by the Japanese parent Kansai Paints company. Kansai Paints is among the largest paint manufacturers in the world renowned for using modern means and innovation.
Access to the latest technology from Japan has enabled Kansai Nerolac Paints Nepal to be one of the first paint companies in the country to address the health and environment hazards caused by paints, thus churning out eco-friendly products. The company believes that it is this technological edge that keeps it ahead of its rivals as it strives to develop innovative products that meet the consumer's requirements consistently.
Products and Market Strategy
With safety and the need for environmentally friendly products being the order of the day, Prakash emphasizes that the company adheres to the modern rules. “Kansai Nerolac Paints is a pioneer in lead-free products,” says Prakash. “With 1657 lead-free items to choose from, our company focuses on delivering a steady stream of world class quality products over time and not just sudden schemes and bonanzas.”
The company has paints for all surfaces including plaster, metal and wood. It also has a comprehensive range of products for exterior and interior decorations, making it the first choice among paint enthusiasts and customers.
“When world class products are introduced it will not only increase quality, it will also increase the value for money and it will lead to lead-free products,” underscores Prakash.
CSR and 2015 Quake
Like many other business organisations, Kansai Nerolac also did its bit to help victims of the 2015 earthquake. It arranged food stalls on its premises and organised support in the most affected areas like Sindhupalchok. It contributed food items, tripals, dry food items, drinking water and clothes to the victims.
For the last couple of years, the company has also contributed a supply of paint for the maintenance of heritage sites like the Pashupatinath temple area.
Eco Paint
"We are not just in the business to beautify someone’s dream home,” says Satya Prakash. “We are also keeping the environment in mind with eco-friendly home paints manufactured here in Nepal.”
