Enterprise: Nepal Business Accelerator Program, initiated by the Nepalese Young Entrepreneurs’ Forum  (NYEF), has invited applications from enterprises looking  for investment to grow.

This is the first-of-its kind programme operated by the private sector in Nepal. It seeks to mentor newly setup companies to build better products, raise funds, and move to the next level of business growth. 

“In essence, it aims to become the vital link between the various stakeholders of the Nepalese entrepreneurial ecosystem,” said NYEF in a statement.

The deadline for applications was the end of July. The company plans to start its 12-week programme from September 13. According to the company, the demo day is expected to be held in mid-December. Only six companies will be selected for the programme. 

To be eligible to apply, companies need to have been in operation for at least two years, be seeking investment, and have a team of passionate founders who want to take their companies to greater heights.

Ajay Shrestha, Program Director at Enterprise said, “In Nepal, a lot of Small and Medium Size Enterprises (SMEs) do not have the resources to grow. A business accelerator can add a lot of value to these companies by providing them the necessary tools to analyse their overall growth strategy. By doing so, Enterprise can develop their internal capacity and make them more attractive to investors.”

This program has been initiated by Nepalese Young Entrepreneurs’ Forum (NYEF) in partnership with Centre for Creation of Economic Wealth (CCEW) at the University of Oklahoma and is managed and funded by True North Associates, an Investment, Consulting and Management firm based in Nepal.
