Generation Next Becomes First Authorized Distributor for Iphone And Ipad 
Generation Next Communications is appointed the authorized distributor of Apple products iPhones and iPad for Nepal. The company also has been distributing Macbook, iMac and iPods for the last three years. According to the company, iPhone is one of the best-selling mobile brands in the world and Nepal, but the customers have been facing lots of issues in the absence of authorized sales points and proper service. “As Generation Next has been appointed the authorized distributor, customers will now be able to purchase latest iPhones with much ease with the assurance of genuineness,” says a statement from the company. Generation Next communications will be currently distributing iPhones to three resellers namely Evolution Trading Pvt Ltd, Astral Computers Pvt Ltd and Ncell.  
 
IMS Introduces Two New Models of Samsung Gear
International Mobility Solutions, the authorised national distributor of Samsung mobiles in Nepal, has introduced two new Samsung Gears Gear Circle and Gear S. The new Samsung Gear Circle can be worn around the neck and runs on CSR 8670 chipset. It has a magnetic sensor that can receive calls, play and pause songs and control volume. It supports Bluetooth 3.0 and has a 1800 mAh battery. It is also equipped with hybrid canal earbuds and a microphone. Samsung Gear Circle is priced at Rs 11,500. Likewise, Samsung Gear S has a 2 inch curved super AMOLED display and runs on 1 GHz Dual Core processor, supporting dual SIM and 3G. Gear S comes with 512 MB RAM and an internal memory of 4GB. 
 
Gear S also supports Bluetooth 4.1 and Wi-Fi, and  is priced at Rs 41,900.
 
Sony Launches Xperia Z3 and Xperia Z3 Compact
Sony Mobile Communications has introduced Xperia Z series flagship smartphones Xperia Z3 and Xperia Z3 Compact in the market. According to the company, Z3 blends design and engineering with 7.3mm super-slim rounded aluminium frame. The phone weighs 152 grams and has an easy-to-use interface and symmetrical design, says the company. Similarly, Xperia Z3 Compact with its 4.6 inch screen size is perfect for one-handed use. 
 
Both the phones are powered by a 2.5 GHz quadcore processor and run on Android 4.4 Kitkat.  Both handsets are claimed by the company to be water and dust resistant. They also have unique power-saving technologies that can last for up to two days between charges. Both the phones come with a 20.7 MP camera with 1/2.3” ‘Exmor RS for mobile’ image sensor and new 25 mm ‘G Lens’, and can take good pictures even in low light and under water, says the company. The phones are equipped with Xperia Transfer Mobile that allows easy transfer of contents from Android, iOS or Windows smartphone. Xperia Z3 and Xperia Z3 Compact are available at Sony Showrooms and all authorized dealers in Nepal. 
                
Huawei Launches Four New Models  
Huawei has introduced four new smartphones Huawei Honor Holly, Honor 6, Ascend Mate 7 and Ascend Y520 in the market. Huawei Honor Holly is a 5 inch phone with HD display powered by 1.3 GHz quad core processor running Android 4.4.2 KitKat. It comes with 16 GB of internal memory and 1 GB RAM. The phone is priced at Rs 13,999. Likewise, Huawei Honor 6 is equipped with 1.7 GHz octa core processor powered by 3 GB RAM and has 16 GB R0M. The handset comes with 5 inch Full HD screen, high end dual cameras and Android 4.4.2 Kitkat and is available at Rs 37,999. Similalry, Ascend Mate 7 from the Ascend series has a 6 inch FHD screen and is powered by a 1.8 GHz octa core processor. It comes with 2 GB RAM, 16 GB of internal memory and has 13 MP rear camera and 5 MP front camera. Ascend Mate 7 is available at Rs 59,999, and the Limited edition Gold version costs Rs 69,999. Another model Ascend Y520 is powered by a 1.2GHz dual core processor and has 512 MB of RAM and 4 GB internal memory. The handset runs on Android 4.4 KitKat, has a 4.5 inch LCD display and is priced at Rs 10,999.
 
Canon Launches EOS 7D Mark II
Canon has launched the EOS 7D Mark II APS-C DSLR camera in the Nepali market. According to the Japanese company, the EOS 7D Mark II, successor to the award-winning EOS 7D, features dual DIGIC 6 image processors, a rich 20.2-megapixel CMOS sensor, a new mirror and shutter system that allows high-speed continuous shooting of up to 10 frames per second (fps), and a new 65 all-cross-type Auto Focus (AF) system. “This new technology enables the user to rapidly track and focus on the desired subject, granting unprecedented accuracy when shooting fast-moving subjects,” says a press statement by the Canon. According to the company, the camera’s Dual Pixel CMOS AF function provides smooth and accurate focusing when shooting videos, so that subjects will remain in focus even in the most dynamic scenes. According to Deepak Sureka, Managing Director of Primax International, the authorised distributor of Canon Nepal, the body of the camera costs Rs 290,090 in Nepali market.
