Civil Bank’s Branchless Service in Rumjatar
Civil Bank has started its third Branchless Banking service in Rumjatar of Okhaldhunga through Rumjatar Savings and Credit Co-operative Limited. The service was inaugurated by Senior Executive Officer of the Bank Govinda Gurung. Through this service, customers of the Bank will be able to avail facilities such as withdrawal of funds, make deposits, carry out fund transfers from one account to another, recharge mobile phones, avail facilities of ATM cards, remittance facility, MobilemaiNagad service and SMS alert among others. The Bank has also informed that it has appointed its staffs in the area for facilitating micro credit to customers interested in running Small and Medium Enterprises and Agro-businesses. 
 
NIC Asia’s Branches in Kohalpur and Tulsipur
NIC Asia Bank has opened new branches in Kohalpur and Tulsipur. The branches were jointly inaugurated by Director of the Bank Binod Kumar Pyakurel and Chief Executive Officer Sashin Joshi. With these, the Bank now has 66 branches and 61 ATMs throughout the country.  
 
Blood Donation by Sanima
Sanima Bank conducted a blood donation program jointly with Lions Club and Pinnacle Scholars Academy Higher Secondary School at the school premises at Kalanki on the occasion of 10th year of operation. The program saw the participation of staffs of the Bank, customers and locals. There were more than 250 visitors and 78 donors participating in the event. Under its Corporate Social Responsibility, Sanima Bank has organized various activities to mark its 10th year of successful operation.
 
Everest Bank’s 2nd ATM in Pokhara
Everest Bank has installed its new ATM at Lakeside, Pokhara. With this 2nd ATM in Pokhara, the number of ATMs of the bank has now reached 76. The ATM was inaugurated jointly by Chief District Office of Kaski Krishna Bahadur Rawat and Chief Executive Officer of the Bank AK Ahluwalia. The inaugural function was also attended by Executive Member of Nepal Tourism Board Tika 
Sapkota, officials from local Chambers, businessmen and officials of the Bank.
 
NMB Bank to Open Office in Malaysia
NMB Bank is geared up to open its representative office in Malaysia after receiving final approval from Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB). According to a statement issued by the Bank, it has already received approval from Bank Negara, Central Bank of Malaysia to establish its Kuala Lumpur Representative Office in July this year and will commence operation of the Representative Office within the next six months as directed by NRB. The Representative Office will serve as a contact point and support in introducing with Malaysian local banks and provide advisory service to the client in trading with Malaysian counterparts, resulting in promoting bilateral trade between the two countries and will contribute in sharing information regarding Nepalese financial service and its economy, says the statement.
 
Laxmi Bank's 38th Branch in Bardibas 
Laxmi Bank has opened a new branch in Bardibas of Mahottari. According to the Bank, Bardibas branch will offer a full suite of retail banking services ranging from innovative deposit products to personal and small business loans. With this, Laxmi Bank now has 38 branches in 26 districts acaround the country, 50 ATMs and two service counters. The Bank has informed that it will open seven more branches in the immediate future. 
 
NIBL Receives Approval for Samriddhi Fund -1
Nepal Investment Bank Ltd has received approval from Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON) to start its first mutual fund scheme NIBL Samriddhi Fund -1. According to a press statement from the Bank, NIBL Samriddhi Fund -1 is a close end balanced scheme fund whose investment objective is to generate maximum returns by investing in a mix of securities comprising of equity, equity related instruments and fixed income instruments as allowed by prevailing rules/regulations on mutual fund. The maturity of the fund is seven years from the date of allotment.
